1:07: (Turntable goes, Alan hits the buzzer) Jim: I'm glad he bought cause they're leaving! (laughs, the Sale Surprise bells go off) Sale Surprise! Bring it Back! That was hilarious. LOL
Seems like today, you see a lot less bloopers on game shows with the exception of silly answers on Family Feud, Super Password had many great bloopers, and this is a great one.
I think they're too hung up now on time. If something happens they just edit it out, Or producers think it makes the show look bad. maybe it shows up on a bloopers special.

Miss this show. Miss Jim Perry.
R.I.P. Jim Perry. One of the great game show hosts. Glad I got a chance to witness him in action on SOTC.
The best blooper ever on Sale Of The Century!
And they didn’t edit it out
This blooper will never get old.
did you see the blooper on Card Sharks this morning?
Going into the commercial, he tried holding onto the set to make sure nothing else happened. 😁

I hope the turntable operator was reprimanded for this one.
Reprimanded and given the wet noodle treatment
@@gladfan1989 If there had not been a Sales Surprise would they have turned it early?
@@timglende8869 It was to be turned off camera. Guess they had crossed wires that day (or something)
Too bad buzzr can't air the daytime era from 1985

Is the Turntable behind the Fame game board?
Dan Barker no.
No--the turntable is the Fame Game board--just like in the Aussie version.
Yes. It was show once on the air after Jim wanted it turned around.
