  • I tried something like this on a previous video and it seemed to work.
Turns out I was cleaning the wrong post. Usually we could get the car to start by trying over and over. But it would start for a week. A guy UA-cam suggested doing this and it worked.
Basically just taking the ground wire off the engine block then cleaning the engine block along with the wire tip.

I also suggest putting die electric grease on the block and also adding another 3ft ground cord from the starter cord to the top right corner bolt mounts on the car. This will give the car a better chance of starting Incase the engine block builds corrosion again.

Did you get the electronic control throttle light? It's the lighting bolt light. I was told to put the ground cord but I was wondering if you also had that light before I buy a new throttle body

maybe take a better look at the battery clamps themselves , I've done all the things you have and it keeps coming back after 6 months or so , the battery clamps are stamped metal and don't have a lot of direct contact with the battery terminal post , couple that with the ridiculous placement of the battery where snow and rain are constantly spraying up there and you get an intermittent connection that prevents the battery from charging sometimes , I find every time it has happened it takes 12-16 hours for my battery to recharge on the trickle charger , I replaced one of the clamps the last time and have ordered in a replacement for this time { small town life no local parts store } I'm going to replace the cables next with ones that have the fused solid clamps instead of this crappy stamped steel bolt together stuff .

Thanks. My plan is to just re-wire all the ground cables so the clamps will be included. It wasn't starting at all for about a week. So far since this video it hasn't comeback. Eventually I was to have it fixed before I sell it to someone else.

Hey guys i did the same thing and it worked only for 3 days Then the same thing happened i spent like $1k
3 mechanics and several computers and nothing the ground wire is not it. Or the start relay or safety neutral switch on the transmission none of that it shud not need an extra ground wire. Cuz when i installed it it just worked for 3 days then same thing but today i figured it out by accident 🤣🤣😁 on new years day i wanted to go to get something to eat and my journey disnt wanna start it is very eazy and simple takes like 5 minutes anybody wants to know just reply to comment. I would be happy to share it with every one my journey woudnt start when you put the fob on start position. It woudnt do nothing problem solved

It's always a possibility that more then one thing could be wrong. For some people changing the ignition module worked then others the neutral safety switch
      inside the transmission.

This worked for me. I have had the truck for a while and replaced it a few months ago. I still see the guy I sold it to driving around from time to time.
