I think Crispin's appearance was part of a trifecta within a few weeks were Oliver Reed came on and a monkey that kept going after Letterman. He was probably feeling some PTSD after all that.
More that he’s annoyed Crispin won’t answer him and just rambles randomly, and he’s trying to teach him to have a proper repartee badinage because you have to give and take to get by but some people either can’t or won’t. It’s sorta funny but it’s too much in some cases like Kaufman and Glover to where it’s just not that funny because you see what they’re doing too obviously and it’s annoying too often. Eric Andre is better because he’ll push it to and passed the limits but he can always come back to reality and show some small deference so it’s a win-win, like he gets that there needs to be a line at some point. Howard Stern does it in a less artful way and less funny way , Dave I like better but his ego can get annoying too (I’d say Dave is even funnier now as an old dude and Howard has become unfunny as fuck).
Weird how Dave will work with Kaufman but works to block Crispin when he's trying the same thing. But man, Dave just won't let that kick go (even though it went nowhere near him)
Kaufman didn't make Dave the target. Dave has an ego, also... its might be due to the personality on display. Glover presented himself as a weak man. This allows other men to subconsciously feel more dominant. This is the psychology im picking up after watching all his interviews. The fact that Dave for 3 straight interviews tries to insist Glover intended to kick him and get an apology shows how fragile his ego is.
Dave fell for it the first time and left from the kick and was obviously called a stupid coward for doing so, because it wasn’t real. The only way to make that not be true is for the kick to have been really close and real enough to warrant running away from. Alternatively he wants to force glover to admit what was real and not about that appearance when the fun was no knowing, glover wants control over that and Dave wants control of it too.
I don’t understand why Letterman kept bringing him back and trying to get him to talk about it. You can tell he’s annoyed that he can’t get answers about it. So why keep trying? It’s obvious Glover has no intention of ever giving straight answers about that incident, so don’t bother trying and certainly don’t get annoyed when he won’t comply.

I think you are confusing disassociate-disorder with schizophrenia.
lolol trolled
Crispin: Well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well ...
David: Well, that's all the time we have.
I really wish we could get a damn answer about anything.
Like, "What's for dinner?"
Well well well well well well ... so this dog you see, and it it it had things on it's paws... this was on Tuesday and and and it was cold so the lamp place store would be closed...
Feels very awkward everytime he goes on this show.
He, seemed, to get Kaufman, but not Crispin Glover. Crispin must have been very disappointed indeed...
Crispin was fucking with Dave all the damn interviews, is very obvious he is playing a character and fucking with Dave, or maybe Dave was in the joke too.
So letterman invites Crispin on in 87- the kaufman aguement will go on forever- and then repeatedly invites him back over the next twenty years to go over and over the initial debacle -whilst Crispin fails to enlightened us any further or even answer anything. Rather, he frustratingly sits laughing, fidgeting and rambling and people put It down to his 'genius'. Im not convinced. I think he gets too much credit and hr actually just is a.socially awkward person.
Crispin needs to monitor his dosing better.
Savagely Trolls Dave….
Feel bad for the audience for having to laugh like they thought things were funny
Has he been in ellen show?
Ya know,, Cripin would make a funny cousin to Capt. Jack Sparrow.
he's the joker
It's possible he won't answer because he can't remember.
He was good in Friday the 13th part...6?
seems crispen is still playing with dave and he has no idea very interesting
