Frustrating when that's all that pops up in your feed. Why with all their beheadings would anyone want to watch it over and over?
Seems like it was the only way they could solve an issue:
      Beheadings or burnings?
I am not sure in this day and age humanity is any better?

Catherine of Braganza is one of my favorite Queens!! She was sweet, introverted, and loyal. Whats not to love about that? She had a great impact on the Country and she is who introduced the English to tea! Such an English tradition, started by a foreign Queen consort. I love her!

Amazing! That was so interesting! I knew very little about Catherine, & nothing about Portugese history. I am glad you liked the video!
Her background was a word away from the english court. This doesn't mean that she was a simple minded person. On the contrary, she probably was a bit more refined than the english court ladies (when she arrived in England she asked for tee and they offered her wine) and she had a good education. But by no means she was prepared to live in a place where men (shock!) and women mingled and flirted. She was very naive and innocent.

charles II was first king of scotland*, the stuarts where as old as the braganzas, also the stuart dynasty originated in scotland...,
centuries previously as royal stewards to the bruce dynasty...
a unusual marriage, being that scotland had alliance with france, and england with portugal, no one much liked the power of castille or aragon, espana*
in either scotland, portugal, england, wales or ireland...
let alone the dynastic habsburg ties to holy roman empire, spain and austria.., also against the borbon dynasty in france...
earlier rei felipe II habsburg was king of spain and portugal, and the spanish armada, earlier King of england too...
El escorial is pretty dull and boring, in comparision to royal palaces in lisboa,
simmilar contrast to edinburgh castle v tower of london....
yes the catlalan rebellion, is exactly in the same period as the restoration of portugal under braganzas.....
espanha nearly fell and the iberian union was over...
the dynastic union or * sharing of thrones* or titles,. a *union of thrones or two crowns* like scotland & england, until 1701...
    portugal & spain until 1640....
