If she wanted leniency she should have pled guilty and asked the court for mercy. What she really wants is to not be held accountable for her actions.

As for defense attorneys, they’ll do/say anything, won’t they? Good people don’t shoot unarmed people after being told by a law enforcement representatives to cease following. Nevertheless, his argument was terrible.

Heard a lot of criticism aimed at her lawyer, but honestly, the woman was guilty as sin. A blind man in a dark room could see that. So yes, he is awful, but what did he have to work with?
The other thing is, I distinctly heard him say, in effect, that she is the product of her upbringing, and she did the things which resulted in the murder Mr Herring, because of that.
So here's my point. Couldn't Mr Herrings family sue her and her family collectively, for depriving him of his life, and denying them the comfort of a loved one? I mean, if her lawyer said they're responsible for the mindset which resulted in her actions......
