Wonder if we'll still have that super creepy 'comply' voice line. A lot of her old ones were really fun or amusing, I hope they stay in some form, I'll certainly miss them.
If they do keep it I hope they give us a way to mute those damn collectables. Last thing I want to deal with when I'm having fun building or exploring is a barrage of "creepy" voice lines every 30 seconds.
Oh I see; Earth is running out of food, so we need to aid construction of the food court at the top of the space elevator to stave off the mounting famine. This is definitely how the food court works; I will not be taking any questions, thank you.
The Food Court is not like the ones we have on Earth that are just courts with restaurants, but a court of selected officials who help stave off the famine that Earth is combating

got the game back when fluid were first introduced back in update 3, played on and off since then, some time ago I finally got to the end of a save file in a shared world with my friend and we can't wait for 1.0 release either

I've been putting this game down for more than 6 months and the ITCH of opening this game again has never been higher, also the UI Redesign for the Hub Tiers look STUNNINGLY GOOD! Props to the Devs for making this game as best as it can be. I can't be more excited to go back to this game in September.
I did the opposite. I just wrapped up the last gasp of the world I started on update 4 with a single 100% efficient manufacturer of each top teir elevator part, so that I can start from scratch for 1.0 with a clean conscience.
5:39 Tbh I like the old UI better 😢 It makes sense that Ficsit uses a screen instead of physical buttons as it is cheaper (The UI was a screen, now they are physical buttons and panel with screws in the corners) Or maybe because I am a functional minimalist and stubborn 😂 But still, props to the UI/UX designer! Can't wait to see more of the new UI changes ❤ I also expect more places to show the cute little cartoon pioneer at the landing sequence throughout the gameplay!

@@vin8950 its likely to be the new ore we can find on the map. Its pink which fits with the ore in shown here. @TotalXclipse made a Video where he broke down the trailer of 1.0 where u can also see the pink ore. (not completly sure btw, could also be sam ore with another texture model)
@@MattWeber Something to note: The point of view is in the Crater Lakes, approximately in the middle of the larger of the two conjoined craters looking West toward the smaller one, one of the arches from the red forest can be seen to the left. There currently is not a node there of any type, but there is a small spire of rock with a Somersloop on it. So at least one Somersloop has been replaced with this new magenta ore. There are several SAM ore nodes in the open air with interesting vistas scattered around the map, and we saw none of them. So I give 60% odds this is a new material in addition to SAM ore and 40% odds it's renamed and moved/added SAM ore.

I kinda liked the idea of Fixit being just greedy corperate planetary strip miners. Openly, and known from the start. Taking a gorgeous world full of life and flora and turning it into a heartless factory felt like part of the heart of the game. Adding a 'you are doing this to safe earth' part just muddies that water, especially since I am pretty sure Fixit will still end up being evil anyway.
yeah, the fixit "content" we had always made me thought that the pioneer is some kind of robot / servant of fixit that would do everything they asked without questioning and the story would actually be the pioneer getting "consioness" about fixit and realizing how bad they are with the aliens communicating throughout the artifacts pretending to be fixit/ada so the pioneer would not question or report it
It wouldn't surprise me if it was a Tom Cruise in Oblivion type thing. You think you're destroying this planet for the good of your race but really its just for $$. You might even be a disposable clone and not know it.

From what I can pick up about Ficsit, how they treat employees, how they are treated as disposable assets they own. How the alien artifacts lines creeped me out further about the company. I am hoping for story-mode that you are given the options of cooperation or rebellion against Ficsit. I know you said ya'll retconned narrative stuff, but the choice to cooperate or rebel against the company would be awesome. When I first encountered the alien artifacts and heared the lines that would play when near them, I resolved to be a secret guardian of the alien artifacts, never give them to the company and also try to be a steward for the planet.
I have over a thousand hours into this game, and the game I'm looking forward to the most comes on Sept. 10... Satisfactory! Can't wait to start fresh and finally make it to the end.

This is my favourite game of all time and I am a 48yr old middle-aged 🤓. I have a huge amount of respect for your team and the beautiful game you have created. I am SO looking forward to 1.0!
I hope that the ending of the game has a sort of cutscene to it, maybe not where you're locked into actions and can still move about freely, but still having the dramatic flair of a cutscene and being a really big deal.
I don't understand why she needs to be completely retconned. It's not like she was super important, she could still exist as just a minor character with the same name.
I'm a story guy. I've always been a story guy. And even in games where story isn't the focus, one of my favorite parts about gaming is reading into the lore and establishing my "So What?" reason, as it's so often the difference between playing 50 hours and 500. I have been itching so badly for this in Satisfactory so I am beyond excited to see what you all come up with!

I haven't really read much up on the earlier planned lore at all. but i played the game and hearing the artefacts speak which implied a deeper story to the game got me quite curious. having a lore/story to follow as to why you have been thrown onto another planet to establish a big production helps with the motivation or how to say it building all these big things in the game. yeah i know its just about building and chill out and oh i have and ive had my fun with SF+ aswell still it does not change the fact its a bit sad to hear they gonna scrap most of the story and lore they had planned. any ways rn im just waiting for 1.0 as not to burn myself out before its released

i really like that yall saved the story for 1.0. i only played subnautica on full release, but when i watched early access playthroughs, i thought it was weird that the story was added in bit by bit. it was much more impactful for me to get it all together on the first playthrough

I was one of the original alpha key testers back in 2018-19, playing the game on my old Acer laptop when I was in Uni - visually, it's still one of my favourite games to look at when exploring, and I've barely scratched the surface! Can't wait to see what's coming!
Got me confused as well lol. It actually is one of Googles Cloud voices, called Wavnet (in particular the voicebank en-US-Wavnet-C ) used by text-to-speech programs. Although I must admit, it’s not really common that people call those Vocaloids lol

I liked the idea of working for an organization that probably did not have the best intentions in mind with questionable methods. I love when player takes damage they recieve the message "damage to ficsit *property* detected" ect

It’ll be great to figure out what they’re finally used for and it looks like we’ll be able to see the construction of some space station. Sure, the size of your factory could show how far you are, but having something at the top of the elevator will also be nice
I think project assembly is building the giant ring above the space elevator. You fill up the pod with materials and it flies up to the space elevator to deposit advanced materials. The point of taking these materials and creating this is to make a huge place for all humans to live (like the end of interstellar) because earth is being destroyed and humans need a place to flee. The Mercer spheres and the somersloop are the planet’s most valuable thing, so it guards it with everything it has. Either it’s so powerful that is corrupts Ada (which is weird because why would the planet want to remove its valuables) or ficsit knows it’s valuable so it overrides ada and commands the pioneer to take it, maybe because it can help people. That’s what I think the lore is: a company trying to save humanity by constructing an interstellar-like spaceship to hold and save humanity.
Those collectibles could also be planted as a defense. Anything with sufficient technology that picks them up gets their systems infected, like a Trojan. That would make them use your AI to get you to pick them up. If you have no AI on you, you hear nothing. It's just a pretty sparkly.
As someone in the coal/plastic stage I like how somersloup and spheres are not directly part of the story but the interaction between Ada and "alien" has me wanting to find more of them to see what sparky things they will say.

Nah Ficsit would use buttons. Pioneers wear these chunky work gloves.

@@vin8950 its likely to be the new ore we can find on the map. Its pink which fits with the ore in shown here. @TotalXclipse made a Video where he broke down the trailer of 1.0 where u can also see the pink ore. (not completly sure btw, could also be sam ore with another texture model)
@@MattWeber Something to note: The point of view is in the Crater Lakes, approximately in the middle of the larger of the two conjoined craters looking West toward the smaller one, one of the arches from the red forest can be seen to the left. There currently is not a node there of any type, but there is a small spire of rock with a Somersloop on it. So at least one Somersloop has been replaced with this new magenta ore.
There are several SAM ore nodes in the open air with interesting vistas scattered around the map, and we saw none of them. So I give 60% odds this is a new material in addition to SAM ore and 40% odds it's renamed and moved/added SAM ore.
Look and smell is the reason why I started playing Satisfactory.
Seeing that ball of energy at the end, speaking to us... I'm can't help but to point out the easily made connection to Sanctum.
If Caterina Parks is retconned, i hope there's still gonna be a good explanation for Caterium.

I kinda liked the idea of Fixit being just greedy corperate planetary strip miners. Openly, and known from the start.
Taking a gorgeous world full of life and flora and turning it into a heartless factory felt like part of the heart of the game.
Adding a 'you are doing this to safe earth' part just muddies that water, especially since I am pretty sure Fixit will still end up being evil anyway.
Are we going to save the Earth from something Ficsit caused in the first place? Are we going to doom Massage 2(ab)B in exchange for saving Earth?
yeah, the fixit "content" we had always made me thought that the pioneer is some kind of robot / servant of fixit that would do everything they asked without questioning and the story would actually be the pioneer getting "consioness" about fixit and realizing how bad they are with the aliens communicating throughout the artifacts pretending to be fixit/ada so the pioneer would not question or report it
It wouldn't surprise me if it was a Tom Cruise in Oblivion type thing. You think you're destroying this planet for the good of your race but really its just for $$. You might even be a disposable clone and not know it.

From what I can pick up about Ficsit, how they treat employees, how they are treated as disposable assets they own. How the alien artifacts lines creeped me out further about the company. I am hoping for story-mode that you are given the options of cooperation or rebellion against Ficsit.
I know you said ya'll retconned narrative stuff, but the choice to cooperate or rebel against the company would be awesome.
When I first encountered the alien artifacts and heared the lines that would play when near them, I resolved to be a secret guardian of the alien artifacts, never give them to the company and also try to be a steward for the planet.
I have over a thousand hours into this game, and the game I'm looking forward to the most comes on Sept. 10... Satisfactory! Can't wait to start fresh and finally make it to the end.
What end? Fixit will never end. There are plenty of other planets out there you know.

I am really glad there wont be cut scenes. I feel like they get in the way as you are trying to play the game.
I hope that the ending of the game has a sort of cutscene to it, maybe not where you're locked into actions and can still move about freely, but still having the dramatic flair of a cutscene and being a really big deal.

I'm a story guy. I've always been a story guy. And even in games where story isn't the focus, one of my favorite parts about gaming is reading into the lore and establishing my "So What?" reason, as it's so often the difference between playing 50 hours and 500. I have been itching so badly for this in Satisfactory so I am beyond excited to see what you all come up with!

I haven't really read much up on the earlier planned lore at all.
but i played the game and hearing the artefacts speak which implied a deeper story to the game got me quite curious.
having a lore/story to follow as to why you have been thrown onto another planet to establish a big production helps with the motivation or how to say it building all these big things in the game.
yeah i know its just about building and chill out and oh i have and ive had my fun with SF+ aswell
still it does not change the fact its a bit sad to hear they gonna scrap most of the story and lore they had planned.

@@TravisHi_YT so what? I like stories when the people doing them know how to make me feel curious. Touching grass can be as exciting as an intriguing story. You know what, I like stories so much, I even write my own! I have to admit this really sounds to me they wanted something MUCH bigger and couldn't do it. But still, if it's fun, who cares if they present it to you while watching a film, playing The Last of Us or some factory game.
And to clarify, I didn't bother with story at all until now. I just crammed the volume down when some mysterious voice taunted me... I just wanted to make big, 100% efficient factory. They just... made me curious.

i really like that yall saved the story for 1.0. i only played subnautica on full release, but when i watched early access playthroughs, i thought it was weird that the story was added in bit by bit. it was much more impactful for me to get it all together on the first playthrough

I was one of the original alpha key testers back in 2018-19, playing the game on my old Acer laptop when I was in Uni - visually, it's still one of my favourite games to look at when exploring, and I've barely scratched the surface! Can't wait to see what's coming!

Got me confused as well lol. It actually is one of Googles Cloud voices, called Wavnet (in particular the voicebank en-US-Wavnet-C ) used by text-to-speech programs. Although I must admit, it’s not really common that people call those Vocaloids lol

I liked the idea of working for an organization that probably did not have the best intentions in mind with questionable methods. I love when player takes damage they recieve the message "damage to ficsit *property* detected" ect
I don't think that those kind of hints will be missing in 1.0, they've been there for the whole Early Access period, they might as well be leading to something vicious within the company or behind the "Save the Earth" plan.

It’ll be great to figure out what they’re finally used for and it looks like we’ll be able to see the construction of some space station. Sure, the size of your factory could show how far you are, but having something at the top of the elevator will also be nice
I think project assembly is building the giant ring above the space elevator. You fill up the pod with materials and it flies up to the space elevator to deposit advanced materials. The point of taking these materials and creating this is to make a huge place for all humans to live (like the end of interstellar) because earth is being destroyed and humans need a place to flee. The Mercer spheres and the somersloop are the planet’s most valuable thing, so it guards it with everything it has. Either it’s so powerful that is corrupts Ada (which is weird because why would the planet want to remove its valuables) or ficsit knows it’s valuable so it overrides ada and commands the pioneer to take it, maybe because it can help people.
That’s what I think the lore is: a company trying to save humanity by constructing an interstellar-like spaceship to hold and save humanity.
Those collectibles could also be planted as a defense.
Anything with sufficient technology that picks them up gets their systems infected, like a Trojan.
That would make them use your AI to get you to pick them up.
If you have no AI on you, you hear nothing. It's just a pretty sparkly.

As someone in the coal/plastic stage I like how somersloup and spheres are not directly part of the story but the interaction between Ada and "alien" has me wanting to find more of them to see what sparky things they will say.
