Great video. Camdon Gilliland’s videos have so much heart and passion. The sound of that whistle blowing is so nostalgic for me. My grandpa was a conductor for Santa Fe for many many years until he retired . Matter of fact, his route ran literally across the road from their country home. Me and my granny would sit on the front porch swing and wave at him while he passed by on his way to Purcell Oklahoma.
She'll be running this September and the first bit of October and then she goes down for the 1472. They discovered last year they still had a year on the certification.
@@rogerlollar4325 There is an ongoing project to get the track to better standards, however, I think this is as fast as 3415 will ever go again, unfortunately.
Such a beautiful looking engine. The craftsmanship that goes into building AND maintaining such a beast is phenomenal
Indeed, quite a labor of love. I also have to say that its awesome to see that my content is going across the pond! I'd love to make a trip someday!
I love that ATSF 6 chime. The engine itself is beautiful, but the whistle makes it even better.

15:27 They seem to love blowing that whistle, but it’s great to hear !
Indeed it is. One of my favorites!
Great cinematography for the next gettysburg incident
Are they going to try and upgrade the track ? I know there a speed restriction but idk if its from maintiance or something else
Its in the works from what I can tell, but I can't say for sure.
Are they still running 3415? I thought it was down waiting for the 1440 maintenance and inspection.

There is such a dark overtone on the lower part of the locomotive, that you can't identify the wheel arrangement. Care to share what it is?
ATSF 3400 Class 4-6-2 Pacific!
3415 W locomotive
That train is going SO slow
A&SV doesn't have the best trackage, so unfortunately, that's about as fast as they can go.
@@SouthernKansasRailfan they need to work on it
