Thats my sons little setup! Glad you liked it Diesel! He has wrestled in some solid 3+ lb fish with it while in Alabama. It is not at all a kids pole perse.. its a solid 50 60 dollar set up for anyone. We enjoy the heck out of that setup for trout on river streams as well as pond bream bustin. Great content as always my friend!! Keep grinding
Come on the ugly stick GX 2 isn't only for kids i have this rod for pier fishing 🎣👍🧨 with a Daiwa Laguna LT-c 4000 spinning reel i love that adrenaline feeling of caching that fish on lights set up
I have like 8 rods and this what I use for my 6lb test rod, it’s perfect for landing 1-3.5 pound trout but capable of much larger with a good fight. I actually landed an 11 pound bull trout on this setup with 6lb test, this ain’t light weight at all, as a matter of fact this is a decent medium-action setup. Just cause it’s under $100 doesn’t mean it’s a light weight rod, for fish that small a $15-20 lews/mr crappie “light action” rod would’ve been a much better fit and you could’ve enjoyed the fights longer. just my 2 cents.
Kids combo ? I’m gonna get one similar for myself lol gonna pick up an ugly stick elite 7 ft Medium heavy fast action I was gonna throw a shimano on it but after getting some advice on UA-cam I may go diawa instead pair the 7 ft elite with the regal lt3000 should be solid
