You driving fast is a good analogy of the song/Babymetal, because the song is about Babymetal's whirlwind journey. Which was an emotional ride, but also everything went really fast. Going viral on the Internet really helped them get attention, but they could follow it up with keeping the attention through hard work and talent.

I hope your son is OK now. Great reaction. This was a one time only performance for this song and they did it at their biggest concerts to date in front of 55,000 fans at the Tokyo Dome.
This is an homage to Prog Metal band Dream Theater and possibly to their song 'Dance of Eternity'. There are so many time signature changes and it really can throw people off if they are not used to Prog Rock and Prog Metal.
Being able to perform this song and to have it fully choreographed is mind boggling - even more impressive, as the song started Su-metal's IEM failed so she was taking her cue from listening to the drums (I think they may have got her IEM working again after a few seconds, but that can't have been easy for her with this song being so complex and it being the first (and only) time they played it live.
The piano at the end is the bridge into the next song - the first night's finale, 'The One'. That began life as part of 'Takes of the Destinies' but was split to a separate song quite early in the writing process - that is a sort of Prog ballad and it is a song written for and dedicated to the fans (also The One of course).

great reaction Kelly-Metal, BABYMETAL will be back in the USA in November and part of December, it might be an experience of lifetime for you, they put on the best Live shows, they are not as high production as their home shows, but the intimacy of a smaller venue has its own unique charm, and if this idea appeals to you, tickets are selling out fast.

TotD is Babymetal's tribute to the legendary prog metal band Dream Theater and was inspired by the song "Dance of Eternities" which is infamous for it's many time signature changes. TotD follows a similar pattern of using many time signatures, which makes it tremendously difficult to perform live, which is probably the reason they only performed it live this one time.
Kobametal spent years working on it before he was happy with it. Originally this song, and "The One" were a single song, then they were split apart during the production. I would suggest that you react to "The One" next because it follows on directly from TotD.
Mike Portnoy (founder of Dream Theater) was shown TotD by his son, and he gave it the prog metal seal of approval.
Personally, I regard this song as Babymetal's greatest musical accomplishment due to it's sheer complexity and difficulty. It showed that nothing is beyond their reach.

It takes great courage for Reactor to take on this, the most difficult song in BABYMETAL's lineup.
Because viewers of the video will judge whether the Reactor is someone who can musically explain the incredible ability to play, sing, and dance with this succession of odd time signatures.
Regardless, one cannot help but admire the courage of BABYMETAL to take on this song in a one-off live performance.

I feel as I get more into them I will understand them better. My friend always told me I look to much into songs. But I have to hear it a few times and I can almost find something else that is new. I like that about music. If i say something that doesn't make sense to someone it may make sense to someone else but I usually comment on a song after I listen to it a couple more times so sometimes ifs its a brand new band I may not know what to say at that moment. I try and I'm still learning and experiencing this. It's just something about Babymetal and their music and singing styles I like. We live once and my life I was stuck in my ways about music and I am so glad that I let my walls down to listen to music from all over that I never thought I would hear if it wasn't for you all. All I ask from my subscribers is be positive, honest in a nice way and respectful. I was an introvert and I still get nervous at times with certain songs ad being in front of the camera. You all have been amazing and I appreciate you and everyone else, Thank you for watching and thank you for your comment. Have an amazing day! ❤❤

PS. Yes I noticed the time signatures and how it wasn't like other songs. Like I was trying to groove in my seat and it was hard at times. When you are used to music having a certain beat or a certain count your body feels it or you are tapping your foot. You have to have great control when it comes to singing something fast and constant while dancing. I talked to a musician at a concert one time they came down to talk to fans and I was like you must do a lot of cardio to build up your stamina and he's like, Not as much as you think but breathing techniques. So these girls are amazing full of energy and still can hold their vocals to their standard and put on a great show. Like I stated below when you are used to the music you have always listened to and come into this with all these wonderful new bands it takes some adjusting to. In a good way of course!

Hey KellyMetal, welcome back. This song is really special and one of a kind as well the live performance only played and performed once during live at Tokyo Dome 2016 and becomes even more special since belongs or is tied to another song dedicated to all the fans called The One which is the next and final song of the show, so make sure to check that out so we can welcome officially as part of The One.
Btw this song is mad complex, you should check info about progressive metal bands such Dream Theater and you will understand where this song took inspiration.
Hope everything gets better in your daily life and see you next time 🦊🤘🔥

Great reaction, thanks and I hope your son is doing better.
"Tales of the Destinies" is a hell of a progressive metal song and probably their most technical one. And this performance is unique (literally) and a masterpiece in my opinion.
It was Kobametal's tribute to one of his all time favorite bands: Dream Theater. Even Dream Theater's Mike Portnoy commented he was blown away by this.
To be honest, I wasn't much into progressive metal so, the first time I listened to it I was like WTF. Then I watched this live performance and all made sense somehow. Now, followed by "The ONE" (the piano bridge in the end leads into it) is one of my favorite BABYMETAL moments and I like to revisit it quite frequently. 😁
    🤘🦊

Koba-metal loves Dream Theatre and this song is his homage to them. The fact that the girls not only sang but danced to this always blows my mind. It's not surprising that this song has only been played live once. Mike Portnoy was told about this performance. He watched the video and was impressed. High praise indeed coming from him. Glad your son got the help he needed. And I was born in Maine myself. That sandwich sounded amazing by the way.

@@KellysReactions It's so cool how Portland has been kind of re-born the last quarter century. Again back when I was a kid it was really just an old port city. Lots of bars, flop houses, kinda dark and definitely in need of a facelift. The big excitement was taking a day trip to Old Orchard. I was actually attending a summer camp a few miles south of Old Orchard. We were on a field trip there the last time it burned down (would have been '68 or '69), Images from that I'll definitely remember for the rest of my life

This is BM at their progressive best. If I had only one BM song to choose it would be this one because there's so much going on and because it has my all time favourite BM/Kami band line up. It's very obviously a homage to "The Dance of Eternity" by Dream Theater and the fact that Koba/BM/Kami can riff on Dream Theater and yet be original and so different shows their skill.
I have a couple of recommendations for another Japanese group that are very different yet just as novel and entertaining as BM. They are Atarashii Gakko and here is a First Take performance and a recent fancam live performance.
