I have to go with Michael Shannon's General Zod. He was imho by far the most complete villain in any Superman film. Shannon played the part to perfection. His proformance though the entire movie always made sense. His arrogance turns to rage then relief then back to rage.
The actress who played Supergirl in the Supergirl movie went on to play Clark's kryptonian mother in Smallville and played Kara's earth mother in the Supergirl show. Lana from Superman 2 went on to play Martha Kent in Smallville. Lois from Smallville played Kara's kryptonian mother in Supergirl show. And of course Reeves played a major character in Smallville as well. Superman alum tend to do this lol.
Wish Tom Welling & Michael Rosenbaum, ie the Smallville cast, were allowed to star in a full length theatrical Superman movie of their own. Rosenbaum, in my opinion, is the best live action Lex Luthor ever.
I think Cryer knocking it out of the park with his Luthor portrayal in the "Supergirl" series more than makes up for his performance as Lenny in "Quest for Peace."
DC has a bad habit of rushing straight to the team ups and space villains that many characters get shafted: Lana Lang blink cameo, Jimmy Olsen killed off, Dr. Emil killed off, Mercy Graves killed off. Bruno Mannheim and his Intergang, Toyman, Parasite, Luminous, Livewire, Volcana, Metallo, and Atomic Skull could be used before we take to the skies and fight Mongol, Braniac, and Darkseid.
Gene Hackman's Lex is kinda dumb. Don't be mad but what kind of evil genius hires Otis, a dummy henchman and Eve, his girlfriend with a heart? Both of them were terrible.
No. 3, too bad he was killed off in the film and that everything will be reset after his last appearance in "The Flash," hopefully the DCU will do him better if Safran is willing to use him in a "Superman" movie set in his and Gunn's new universe
I don't think Zod was a psychopath, he just cared for his own people and not for humans. We do the same thing every day, but we don't get called psychopaths. lol

It's still strange to think that John Cryer portrayed Lex Luthor's nephew in the 1980s then portrayed Lex himself in the 2010s series Supergirl.
I didn't know that! I had no idea they were portrayed by the same person. Thanks
I remember watching Superman 4 as a kid and Lenny's "You're just an experiment, freak-o" scene would crack me up every time 😂

@@doc8013 it's like the OGs come full circle in some form... love it!!!!!
@@doc8013 holy smokes! Your knowledge is impressive
"Kneel before Gene Hackman, and Terrance Stamp!!"
Michael's General Zod is my General Zod, but for the sake of the origins and the "If it weren't for", I do agree with Terrance's General Zod.
Terence stamps Zod is at the top spot for me.
Thank For The Ranking Video 💝🥰
I hope they use how to use Brainiac as the main bad guy in the next Superman movie, parasite as a secondary villain
Wish Tom Welling & Michael Rosenbaum, ie the Smallville cast, were allowed to star in a full length theatrical Superman movie of their own. Rosenbaum, in my opinion, is the best live action Lex Luthor ever.
Isn't Faora-Ul the same as the character of Ursa?
I think Cryer knocking it out of the park with his Luthor portrayal in the "Supergirl" series more than makes up for his performance as Lenny in "Quest for Peace."
Jesus, there was so much going on in BvS that I forgot a Mercy
Evil Supes should be above Michael Shannon's Zod
Nuclear Man is basically an evil Captain Planet.
When I was a little kid I thought Nuclear Man from Superman VI was the coolest!
Not just me that kind of liked the Atlas/Hercules lookin chap. Nuclear Man got done dirty.
Lex is probably the most iconic but doomsday will always be my favorite. This is the hill I choose to die on.

The fake Kryptonite in Superman 3 acts like red Kryptonite insome cannons
Not the black?
Used to call evil sups Bizarro 😂
they wasted a great kick butt woman in Mercy
Gene Hackman's Lex is kinda dumb. Don't be mad but what kind of evil genius hires Otis, a dummy henchman and Eve, his girlfriend with a heart? Both of them were terrible.
Ross Webster was based on Toyman used computer like video game to control missiles and rode on merry go round horses that flew.
No. 3, too bad he was killed off in the film and that everything will be reset after his last appearance in "The Flash," hopefully the DCU will do him better if Safran is willing to use him in a "Superman" movie set in his and Gunn's new universe
No. 14, 16, & 18, hopefully Safran/Gunn's DCU will do these Superman villains right
Some say lex Luthor is the biggest superman villain
Some say it's doomsday
But deep down we all know the biggest villain of superman is WB studios
Kneel before zod
well done
I mean, Spacey is supposed to be a Gene Hackman impression since it's supposed to be a direct sequel to Superman 2
Terrence Stamp has to be #1!
I always remind myself that evil superman is not Bruce Campbell
Kevin Spacey is the best thing about Superman Returns which is why it is unwatchable.
_DIDN'T NOTICE MERCY GRAVES N BVS_
This list should KNEEL BEFORE ZOD !
That was just Kevin Spacey though.
I don't think Zod was a psychopath, he just cared for his own people and not for humans.
We do the same thing every day, but we don't get called psychopaths. lol
Zod was a mad man trying to commit genocide.
I WILL FIND HIM!
KNEEL BEFORE GREATEST VILLAIN #2
Michael Shannon should be nr.2
I liked superman 3
Prior should have made the top ten. Because he didn't the whole list is shit. Redo and resubmit.
Zod Shannon >>> Donner's
Wow 😊

You’re wrong, just wrong
Zack Snyder needst be on this list
