Look at kabaddi , even kabaddi players dont get much support but india won the most titles in kabaddi world cup championship . India has more football fans then Uruguay, Ireland, chile, Japan etc .so it's not about lack of support .

For the first time in the history the Olympians are getting so much recognition before winning medals. Something which we always needed i.e. to support them from beginning not after winning medals. I think things are changing and we are entering in a New India.

Deepika should aim for the Gold medal in 2024 Olympics. She could train in South Korean archery academies where she will consistently face high pressure situations in matches with other S. Korean women. Hopefully, this will give her the mental edge to defeat the S.Korean ladies in next Olympics

What a great story. She was unlucky to meet An San in the quarter final of the Olympics who many believe to be the GOAT of archery at the rate she is going. Deepika still should be proud of what she achieved and I agreed she should be one of India national hero similar to Tendulkar and this is coming from a cricket fan.

Is there any Archery equipment store which managed by Indian Archery Association? Where we can get the bow in reasonable/original price please.
As we observed Local coaches not give proper info and orders equipment for Archers by themselves and earnings 30 to 40 % commission on it.
Local coaches making this game more costly.
Request someone's help here 🙏

What a Legend. One of the Greatest Sportspersons India has produced. We could have had more such True Sports legends if that Fake Sport Cricket was not given so much importance.
I agree with the point you are making, but calling cricket a fake sport is not the solution. Every country has a sport with mass following like football in europe (like cricket in india)and other sports have fewer fans. The main difference is the facilities and opportunities, which are very less for other sports in india. Anyone who choses to make a career in other sports takes a huge gamble with his/her life. Failure means the person ends up in a struggle to even make a livelihood. That's not the case with the countries which have been doing well at olympics. But along with facilities and secure backup, I do agree that coverage of cricketers like celebrities has to stop and other sports must be given a much better spotlight in our country

In other Countries Kids playing sports like Football, Rugby can easily switch to other sports. It also helps them develop physical fitness required to compete in Field sports and athletics. But Cricket is a dumb sport, A Cricketer in India can't represent any other Sports.
