I remember watching from home this last final with all my family. It was so tense, I was just hoping he could finish the presentation without any fall, and when he did, I knew it was a priceless moment for him! Made my day and the day of all the Brazilians cheering for him 🇧🇷💪👏
I remember how nerve wracking I was watching his floor exercise final in each of his tumbling passes, which reminds me of the flashbacks of him in Beijing 2008 where he was the favorite to win the gold or medal until that devastating fall costs him a medal. This time with the home crowd behind him, he finally delivered and was rewarded with a silver medal, I do not want him to end his entire career without an Olympic medal.
Whenever the camera is shot directly at his face, I feel like I can see his soul through his eyes. I can almost see all the sweat and blood and tears that he has to bear to achieve this greatness. Thank you for this video!
I will never get tired of watching this video. Diego is an inspiration, a fighter. He will forever teach us to never give up. A gente te ama, Diego❤️🇧🇷
It’s truely a feat . Usually over time the athlete is supposed to become less sharper and out of sync due to their age and life but this man , he pursued his dream and broke that belief . Legend .
This is awesome! I remember Diego's gymnastics were out of this world back in 2008. He was the favourit to win the Gold medal back then! I'm Glad he was resilient enough to finished his carreer with an Olympic medal! Bravo 👏
God the pressure on these people, you can see the pure dispair in his eyes after that fall. I can only imagine the torment he persevered through. Almost makes me want to never watch the olympics anymore.
I felt the same way. Sometimes we (and the athletes themselves) forget they are human, and that mistakes are ok. It's remarkable how he overcame his "failures," but it's awful that they were characterized that way in the first place. Despite his falls it was always clear how talented and hard-working he was. He never needed a medal to prove that, but I'm glad he finally got it.
Best takeaway on this would be to accept your failures and defeats but never stop trying to conquer it. The man never gave up then eventually succeeded.

If they know all the sacrifices that not only the gymnastics people, but every single olympic athletes in our country go through, financial and supportive difficulties, to have a opportunity to compete in the highest level, they will felt even more emotional. These replies are strange. You can strongly desire to better yourself or to have a better situation occur, without shame or not feeling proud of certain things.
If you get too down in the dumps, you won't have the motivation and confidence required to continue.
He was meant to win @ his home ! ❤️
But he had to not give up for it , & he dint !
Love him ! 🇮🇳❤️ 🇧🇷
Everybody admiring how Diego redeemed himself while I admire how he kept his hair in perfect shape the whole time
Transplant/wig ... His receding hairline suddenly makes a recovery in Rio
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It's not a cheap kind of procedure. You basically pay for a single strand.
thats a hair transplant mate 😂
@@KpenKpenshie also his hair got darker :)
His crying and expressions seemed so genuine

I’m from Brazil and be so proud of a talentend and persevering guy like him represent us at this sport. He deserves the world!🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
I like it when people fails, decides to quit but eventually comes stronger to succeed and then be happy. Look at his happiness.!
2:02 - That's where he saw his 8 years of hardwork, passion and efforts and that this was his last last chance to show the world.
Hats off to this gem ♥️
Que orgulho do nosso Diego!
Please type in english if you know. 🤧🤧
@@sujalghorse4088 I feel proud to see a Brazilian serving as inspiration for other peoples
Fulano pede ajuda a gente vai lá ajuda e segue a vida.
Amazing guy! In 2022, he founded a philanthropic artistic gymnastics institute in a Brazilian community, so today he teaches the sport to hundreds of children and teenagers for free. Such an incredible and inspiring human being!
Diego é demais! Muito merecedor! Orgulho brasileiro 😍🥈🇧🇷
Diego is awesome! He deserves it! Brazilian pride 😍🥈🇧🇷
Um verdadeiro símbolo de superação e resiliência! Nós brasileiros temos orgulho de você, Diego! Grande abraço!
"In Beijing I landed on my backside, In London I landed on my face and this time I landed on my feet, with my head held high" Goosebumps ❤️
Only if everyone who fail understood success takes a lot of time
His tears at the end shows how much efforts he had put, both physically and mentally.
After seeing the video only I got depressed when he lost twice, don't know what he would have gone through and what he did after was no less than a miracle. You r an inspiration........
RESPECT!! What an absolute role model. Yes, we fall, we fail, but we must not give up easily when we still can. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
You would be sad if you knew how he's treated in Brazil...
@@Raquelslima Why? What happened?
@@Raquelslima hi raquel.
Ok child, go use youtube kids
@@noice8674 , he's treated like a complete loser.
Diego is a fighter, he's pure heart! And people quit for no accomplishing things so early, what a lesson!
He really wanted it so bad. Conquered his fears and his own feeling of humiliation. That is more important than a piece of metal.
Legend .
"THIS TIME, I LANDED ON MY FEET, WITH MY HEAD HELD HIGH!"
Those line shows that this time it was not just about the 🏅....
Heads off to your 🙏🇮🇳
He deserves a diamond medal for his perseverance and patience.
This really brought tears in my eyes! Proud of Diego and his spirit, never give up!
Yep search up UCL final Karius
The way he "loses control" of his emotions at 2:08 is so wholesome. He quickly realized he still had to salute the jury before turning happy.
I'm really proud of him and really proud of Brazilian Gymnasts. They really do miracles based on what they receive as investments...
True. If they know all the sacrifices that not only the gymnastics people, but every single olympic athletes in our country go through, financial and supportive difficulties, to have a opportunity to compete in the highest level, they will felt even more emotional. I'm really proud of all of them!
Abraço BR kkkk 🇧🇷
WHY AM I CRYING TEARS OF JOY OMG I FEEL SO HAPPY THIS HAS BEEN A REAL TRIUMPH😍😍😍😍😍😍
Motivated by his own-self. Challenged by his own-self. He has no one to compete but him. That’s true winner in nature. Respect, Brother. 🙏
He had been destined to win and make his country proud in his home soil only. Lovely❤️❤️❤️❤️
