I like Papa Roach, but I like the original Hu song better. It's got more oomph.

The Hu have been one of my favorite bands ever since I first learned about them. The original version of Wolf Totem is very good, but what I love about this collaboration isn't just that Jacoby's lyrics fit in very well with it, but the Hu's part of the song feels more intense and "live" than in the original. They've done several collaborations with English-speaking artists for the deluxe versions of their albums, but this one and the collab with Lzzy Hale for "Song Of Women" are definitely my favorites of the series. Their first album, "The Gereg", which this song is from is excellent and their second album "Rumble Of Thunder" is even better.

I'm so glad you enjoy it but it grates on me. In the video all the boys look like they're having a lot of fun! The two sound sources go together well. But those English lyrics are puerile and cringeworthy. They make me itch to edit, LOL. Maybe I'm just too old to put up with mediocrity when it could have been so much better.

HU are a good band to rabbithole on, you'll love them doing Song of Women with Lizzy Hale of Halestorm. HU also has a Mongolian Metallica cover.

They have two Metallica covers, actually. They did Sad But True on their own, and they covered Through The Never for the Metallica Blacklist album.

The Hu is a Mongolian metal band, that has broken out into the North American metal scene, They have done works with several other very popular metal artists. They are known for using cultural instruments, and incorporating elements of Tuvan throat singing into their songs.

I loved watching the effect they had on you! The "official video' might be the single biggest 'masculine energy' thing I've ever seen. Tribal, to boot. And you felt it, even in this version. Good on you! 'Song of Women' and 'Mother Nature" are also killer. Especially the first one: the contrast of the band and Lzzy Hale together is...soul-touching.

Yeah, great band. The throat singing is amazing. The original without jacoby but with lyrics on is worth watching, as is their cover of Metallica’s “Sad But True”. They even hit the solos in the cover with that crazy 2 string instrument. Super impressive. Cool video as well.

If this was empowering to You, Try another HU song, with Lzzy Hale, from Halestorm, Song of woman.
And Hu members are singing in their native mongolian language, throathsinging it.
You cant leave HU to this one song only, from them. Can You?

Sorry if repost... issue w first comment try. I first heard The Hu's official band cover (no feat.) and loved it... metal Mongolian throat singing biker gang is pretty damn awesome, and then heard this version and I give it it's props also. Like others may suggest Lzzy Hale of Halestorm's collab on Song of Woman is a different vibe, a sweeter tone, and was my first intro to The Hu. And unsure if I'd seen ja so wide eyed and moving like that since your 2Pac California Love video (going to watch that again, again, for the againth time). Peace and Love, as always to You and Yours. Keep it up!

Stuff I read. Mongolia was never conquered. 30% of the people are nomadic. Genghis Kahn and company took more territory than anyone ever. If you joined them you were protected by their reputation. If not, you died. In the original Wolf Totem they were with some Mongolia bikers. One of the bikers was the president of Mongolia then. BTW you’re pretty. But I’m getting old and tired of young hotties lusting after my body alla time. So don’t bother me okay?😊❤

A small correction, the Mongolian Empire was the largest contiguous empire, as in one large mass. For actual size the British Empire was the largest in human history. And Mongolia itself was occupied by the Chinese for a few years un the early 1900s.

@@marinesinspace6253 Thanks. The largest contiguous territory. I’ll remember that next time I’m on the subject. I did read that Mongolia has been invaded, but not conquered. Also I hope someone can verify whether or not Mongolia is the most sparsely populated country. I believe so but there may be some island nations or whatever that are exceptions.
