Thanks for keeping me company while I ate my lunch today. I thoroughly enjoy looking through the old magazines with you and find your comments both interesting and informative. The only thing I found lacking was your opinion on the orange-coconut ice cream. You and your guest seemed to be enjoying it but it left me curious as to the taste and whether you felt it was worth the effort. I'm also wondering about the identity of your guest!

When I was a baby, I had a bassinet in the back of our 55 Buick, car was older than me, just to be clear. it had lap seat belts but wasn't until Late 60's that we had shoulder straps in cars and when my baby sister was born in early 70's they finally had what you would recognize as a real baby car seat - so crazy to you, but not nearly as ancient a practice as you might think! Great Fun going with you on these old magazine trips!

Car seats for kids until 80s were about restraining the kid and not about safety! I was born in the twilight of the 70s and my car seat at 3 was merely a foam safety bar with no actual restraint. My sisters infant car seat buckled into car, but had no straps to hold child IN.
My moms mother was a new driver and had my mother in backseat bassinet when she had minor fender bender and mom was chucked onto floor. She never drove after that!

3:30 I would also entertain the idea the colour change, maybe the yellow didn't last on acid paper or the background darkened until people seeing it judge it as blue as opposed to the historic assessments

This is lovely and I love that you're doing this, thank you!
That said, I kind of preferred the first video: we got a more in-depth look at one magazine.
(This is meant as constructive criticism; I'm assuming you want feedback from your viewers.) :)
I don't know what your long-term plans are for the channel, but if you wanted to show us fewer magazines each month (but a more in-depth look at each), and save some for next year, I wouldn't be upset about it, lol.
Tangentially related, I had an extensive collection of vintage magazines that got ruined when a freak tornado hit my home. Seeing you page through these antiques is bittersweet, because mine will never get to be antiques. :( I genuinely enjoy getting to see these; thank you again for sharing them with us.

In 1925, there was another Exposition in Paris. This is where the term "Art Deco" comes from.

Have you read the novel "Au bonheur des dames" (sorry, I don't know the english translation) from Emile Zola? It's about a parisian departement store, one of my favorite books, the story from your magazine is the appetizer for these novel.

If the first book is titled "Gram's Magazines", it could have been someone's grandmother's collection of magazines.

Those floral cushions right at the end make me so happy lol. My GGG Aunt Mabel passed down one she did and I ended up with it. It's in bad repair but looks very similar. Her version has butterflies, flowers and bands of insertion crochet lace I think? that run between all the squares. The poor thing is falling apart but I love it so much. I'm thinking it will go into a frame at some point so everyone can see it

9:37 what do they mean when they say "sent"? Is it that people sent something in the mail, and they wanted it published in this magazine so the person receiving it could find out that way, or did the magazine send them gifts for writing to them, or did they buy something from the magazine and include a note such as "I'm buying this for my cousin who I want to marry"?

What sources do you use to obtain the bound magazines? Local antique shops? Ebay? Etsy? BTW, crochet collars came back into fashion in the 1980s along with shoulder pads. If you need patterns for them, you might be able to find the newer patterns based on the antique ones. Back then I loaned my patterns to someone at work, but she quit, and I never saw them again! I was so upset. It was in the days before reliable and easy copy machines, so I didn't have any copies of them.
