    My darling you are so talented. I have bought some of the publications you recommend. I.m so looking forward to trying the mixers purse and slippers.
    I.m 70 and have knitted for 65 years but have never tried historical knitting. I. Love to knit in 1 and 2 ply yarns. They are so graceful.
    Your patterns match perfectly.
    Thank you for your lovely tutorials. You are fantastic. Please keep going.lol jacqui x

    Hey!!! My great grandma is 100 years old and she always made slippers like this. I still use them and I am actually learning how to make them. The sole is bought separetly, and attached with yarn , stiched into the sole, since its soft and fluffly.

    Really relieved to know I'm not the only amateur sewer using my jeans as a pin cushion, while being too lazy/comfortable to change the colour of the thread because it's late in the evening 😂
    Also, the slippers look like they turned out so comfy and pretty!

    These are super cute! (You’re braver than I am.)
    The choice of a yarn that wasn’t solid lamb’s wool but also included some angora was a good one. Angora fiber is warmer than wool, so your slippers will hold your body heat just a little better.

    I went looking for what to do with old Vintage Lace and found you. Fascinating! I did not realize that much of the lace I have inherited is knitted rather than tatted or crocheted. thank you for your tutorials!

    I always see some Victorian sleepers patterns on Archive.org and around and thought the final result would be ugly. I'm really impressed about how cute they may be in the real life. Good job!

    I found your channel through CoCoVid and I’m slowly falling into the historical knitting rabbit hole. These slippers do look comfy. I may make some for myself without the ribbon. I wonder how else I could decorate them if I feel that they’re too plain....

    Thank you, I'm making a pair for my mom for Christmas! Thank you for explaining it so well, your video helped me figure out SO MUCH. I definitely have a 2nd slipper that looks much neater than the 1st one but it's mostly on the edges so hopefully trimming will help.

    how did you decide on needle size?

    • @peachesfireside178
      @peachesfireside178 5 років тому +4

      Mutze Prutz,I just learned a trick for picking needle sizes that has been truly helpful, I wish I could remember who to credit this to. The yarn you want to work with double it over then thread it in a needle gauge without pulling it tight. Try that needle and you may need to adjust depending your tension. i hope this helps you and others.
