Lol
Yeah he’s a scientist

Conch faces really got that "Star Wars comic-relief side character" vibe and I am all here for it.
Legit made me think of JarJar Binks 😂
A Specific way to describe something
The name of the characters you are thinking of are Max Rebo and Sy Snootles. Max is the blue, vaguely elephant-like dude playing the keyboard in Jabba's Palace in Return of the Jedi. In fact, the band he plays in is called the Max Rebo Band. And Sy is the female singer in the band, with eyes on stocks and a mouth at the end of a proboscis-like extension. I know this because I thought the same thing about conchs a few years ago and looked up those characters' names at the time. I love the lil googly eyes conchs have, and their lil snoots, they look so cute.

My classmates should watch this channel they don't need school
He has late 90s early 2000 PBS kids late night vibes and I love it.
Feels gentle and nostalgic🥰
Definitely the piano sounds
For me, He gives off 2006 Curious George rerun in a summer afternoon vibe.
@@Majessty333 makes me feel like I'm watching Blue's Clues or Little Bill lol
@@Majessty333 yes the piano is very Mr. Rodgers
You're an npc
The piano elevates the video excellently.
I hated that effect
Gives it a very Mr Roger’s is teaching us kind of vibe. I love it!
@@justayoutuber1906it made my parents divorce

Reminds me of Mr Rogers.
The conch really is out there looking like 👁👄👁
much easier to look at your version 🤣
Scrolling back up to the video scares me. I'll just stay down here in the comments where I feel safe.

This channel started as a weird UA-cam algorithm suggestion and instantly turned into one of my favorite channels.

I hope there's a science teacher out there showing these videos to their classroom. Great stuff!
I homeschool my son and show them if that counts haha. But yeah definitely - they're a great tool. They're packed with info but just concise enough to keep the short attention span of kids 😂 I really wish we had these back in school
The little piano licks here and there remind me of Mr Rogers Neighborhood.
Keep up the great content!
reminds me of Blue’s Clues
Yeah, ir felt nostalgic lol
Mr Rogers but with animal corpses
All Hail The Magic Conch. 🐚

Magic Conch?
You mean like THIS?
😂 poor Squidward
the editing on this feels like a mr rogers episode, piano riffs and explanations in a soothing voice
Reminds me of the time I picked up a really pretty shell and started walking with it in my hands, and then a conch came out and touched my finger and I freaked out because i was 8 years old 😭😭
I did the same with a conch and thought it was tryna stab me with the operculum lmao
I once picked up a cool looking rock at the edge of a lake when I was a kid, so obviously I picked it up thinking I wanted to bring it home with me. Well when I turned it over, I noticed a big leech inching towards my fingers. I screamed and dropped it, running back towards my family. Safe to say, I'm still wary of big rocks in water to this day. In fact, in general I don't like going into bodies of water in nature for fear of leeches or getting stung by some unknown thing.
At least it wasn’t a cone snail
@@Alpha-zb8spIf there is one creature that definitely freaks me out, it's the cone snail. I have an irrational fear of stepping on one and getting shanked
I had never seen a conch with anything in it.
Definitely enjoying these "what do they look like under their shells" series, still waiting for you to do an episode featuring your beanie.
Fun tip: Conch is pronounced differently in the Caribbean. The C sounds like a k and the ch is also replaced with the sound of k. So instead of conch is would be pronounced konk.
Yep, that's how we say it 🇧🇸
That’s how I say it in North Carolina
From Florida and always called it Knok. Used to get knok soup all the time in restaurants. Similar to clam chouder but would be spicy
And then there’s conch fritters…
But isn't the first C always pronounced as a K? 🤔
The conch had a happy lil smile and I love that for him
happy to be a test dummy
Pretty sure it’s dead
@@AeroplaneDopeof course its dead lol
@@AeroplaneDope😮 no way, ya think?
Thanks for making me CONCHesley aware
Hahaha LOL
I like the fact that the Conch has the ability to disappear its shell
The piano sounds that he adds to his videos makes it feel like a segment of Mr. Roger’s neighborhood. This was very fun to watch. Thanks for making a great video!
Im loving the similar Mister Rogers Neighborhood piano style of playing while learning. It always just makes it all that much more magical to me.
the sharp operculum is also used as a weapon. fighting conches often hit eachother, and humans, which the sharp operculum, so holding conches isnt always recommended
I never knew that I needed to know what conchs looked like! Another A+ video!
I knew how snails move, but I do keep them as pets, soooo
I never bothered to think about the creature those shells belong to lmao. I was perfectly content with the idea of them just spawning on beaches with no discernible origin.
Get that afternoon kids educational show vibe. I like it.
This channel is great and the little musical arrangements make it unique
Inside a conch shell is a voice that gives you answers to questions you ask it.
Man, the presentation in this video (and I'm assuming your other videos) is exceptional, great color/aesthetic design, script, and the musical cues and little graphics are all very well thought out
my cat loves your videos, everytime i put them on he always watches the whole thing with me
This is the type of video and edit I love. Soft music, slow and audible narration, clear examples. Beautiful
I found this channel almost exactly a year ago, im proud to say im an OG
Your channel makes me feel like a kid again ❤ I love natural history
The piano sound effects remind me of zelda. Its pretty good, keep it up
Bro was just vibeing and now he's dried out

I like this form of slow spaces talking with the piano in the back ots so relaxing to watch
Omg, I just discover this channel and it is AMAZING! So much knowledge that you can hardly understand without seeing the corpses of these critters. I inmediately suscribed, it will definetely help me in my underwater video-journeys
You teach better than my biology teacher! Great vid!
I just found my favorite channel on UA-cam ♥️
Oh wait isnt the plate that some other snails used to seal the shell closed also called an operculum? Would it be safe to assume that conches used to do that as well, but evemtually evolved to use it for movement?
In the video he shows a hidden conch and it seemed to be using its operculum to close its shell, so I would assume so
@@DioLT oh I didn't even see that the first time through, thanks!
@@DukeCyrus No problem! 😊
More like this pls. I find this very informative and soothing at the same time
Wow great video, the video quality from editing to sound design is better than most of new movies and tv shows 😮💨
Oh new fan over here, this is informative and relaxing
Love it
The specimens you have are excellently preserved.
Fun fact: some are over hundreds of years old
The fact that he's pronouncing conch like con-ch instead of conk freaks me out
Oh thank goodness! I was afraid I was the only one…
Huh interesting I’ve only ever heard it how he says it
@@supotter377 same, I’ve only heard it pronounced con-ch
It is pronounced con-ch go watch some SpongeBob bro 😂
I believe he was saying conches as addressing them in plural
Thanks bro, those snail and conch differences were so subtle, never would have bothered to look into it. You elevated my knowledge in a fun and playful manner.
Very interesting and informative video. Had a real PBS/Sesame Street/Blue's Clues flare to it. Extremely nostalgic aura. Definitely subscribed to channel ❤
This is my new favorite video genre. Just what I need to wind down in the evening.
My mom LOVESSSS conches… she’s going to love beach combing and dunking on her friends with this new knowledge >:)
💕✌🏼 Awesome stuff, I believe it's pronounced like 'honk' like conk...
Man his pronunciation annoys me, thanks for pointing it out for people to see.
Your video somehow literally calms me down in the most educational way
1990's nostalgia vibes. 10/10

Not gonna lie, the piano bits, give these videos a “Mr. Rogers” vibe. 😅 I was born in the ’80’s. It’s cute! I love it!!❤❤❤
I love the little piano motif.
I've been wanting the know the anatomy for a while now. Perfect video, thank you!
This is so nostalgic i love it
I love shells! I had a giant shell for awhile and thought it was a conch shell, but it’s a different sea snail! Thanks for educating us!
The video and music reminds me of Jacques Cousteau meets Mr Rogers! 🤣 Excellent videos, btw. Very informative and interesting to watch. Hopefully they are being viewed in marine biology classes.
Great, now I have to subscribe. It's like a soothing children's show. I love it ❤
Thank you so much for your educational & informative video. They are clear and easy to understand. Now I can appreciate and enjoy more when I look at the conches and sea snails that I’ve collected. 👍👍
Fascinating! The piano cues feel familiar. This entire video gives off children's biology show vibes, which I love! Subscribed!❤️
this was so relaxing and educational
This was magnificent and understandable, make more😊
Im from Florida and we would pronounce conch as konk, and it would be served as a soup. conch soup was similar to clam chowder but would be quite spicy with chunks of Conch. It was very good, as I got older from a young teen and as time passed I noticed that no one ever had it on their menu any more.
Wonderful presentation.
man i already KNOW i would've been obsessed with this channel as a kid... i can make up for lost time now though :p
This is awesome! I love shells and sea creatures! This is awesome to see the creatures that create and live within these wonderful homes.

Conches look so squishy!
This youtube channel is the channel I never knew I'd need
I love this format
Thank you answering my shower thoughts I never bother to research about but was always curious of.
Wow thank you so much! I love collecting shells but find it so interesting to learn about the critter that made the shell. Thank you 👍🏼 I got to search and see about a video on how the shell layers are made; how long do they take to harden when a new layer (growth line) forms.
Quite informative .. Though specimens are greatly preserved too and those explanations regarding parts are marvelous..
One can easily relate while reading about them after watching your videos.
Overall tremendous .
This was very easy to follow 👏🏼 nice vid ❤
