LAPD Harbor Pursuit of 261 PC Suspect (West Los Angeles)

- Los Angeles Police Department Harbor units initiated a pursuit of a suspect vehicle connected to a robbery and 261 PC. The pursuit went up from San Pedro to LAX, where the suspect ended up circling around until he started heading north toward West Los Angeles. The pursuit came to an end by UCLA Medical Center after successful spike strip attempts by LAPD. The suspect was taken into custody and was later transported to a local hospital by LAFD Rescue 71. UCLA Police and the United States Marshals also assisted LAPD Harbor due to the suspect being wanted out of Boston.

The Marshals were LAPD cops. That’s why they were there. They are LAPD officers assigned to joint task forces. When that happens they are specially commissioned as deputy marshals.
