Wow Dave what a fantastic video and perfect timing. Now back and bloody knackered and watched this video, thanks as always an inspiration! ATB Steve
Great video as always; keep them coming. Got a lot of Revolution Race gear myself; I like the Wander Pro cause they have a zipped Opening at the end of the legs which makes easier to get over your boots. I notice they’ve started to do this on some of their other trousers. I’ve done about 7 reviews on various RR items. Great gear and their price point is excellent 👌 thanks for taking us along. ATB Mark.
Wow , so spectacular , , ,what a Beautiful place to camp, I need to go there one day. Thanks for your fantastic drone footage, and all your efforts to show us the stunning views. Thanks again ,cant wait for the next one
Fab as always Dave!! I did my first extended walk after two years of injury around the Malvern Hills last week.......soon be back in the Lakes hopefully !!🙏 🙌
Hi Dave, Looks like you had a cracking time up there. The views were tremendous. I liked the drone shot near the end (40" approx) where it skimmed over the tarn then the big reveal over the Irish Sea and Scafells, brilliant coupled with the music. The kit from Sweden looks the business. The detachable hood on the down jacket is a useful feature. I've never hiked up that side of the Lakes before, although I remember the hair raising journey in the car up Hardknott Pass. It's certainly on my radar now. ATB Dave .....and keep 'em coming M8.😊🙏👍
Nice one Dave as usual, sorry to hear you have not been so good , not been to good myself for week or so pretty mad whether lately, anyway onward and upward was they say👍👍
What a find mate👍🏻 Good going! Right little gem of a spot that. Loved the shot of the rising sun shining across the water, stunning. Brilliant film Dave, nice gear too😎 Cheers mate. Mark
Cracking spot that . Great weather too , really lucky. We had over 20° up here last week , now sitting in my living room looking out at fresh snow up at Nevis Range and the Mamores... looking forward to more videos Dave. 👍
It was nice waking up this morning to go on an adventure with ya Dave. The scenery was absolutely beautiful as always with your videos, kept up the good work 👍 The new gear looks great as well. Be safe out there my friend ✌️
Your videos are excellent! Thanks for all the effort you put in to making them. I'm desperate to get back to the Lakes and enjoy some of the stunning scenery for myself 🙂.
Very enjoyable love the views . I rode the passes on my motorbike hardknot is tricky. I feel its time to do another wildcamp soon too. Good inspiration because its so easy not to go sometimes but when your their is amazing. Your drone will cope with reasonable winds I have flown mine in 25 mph and the footage is still stable. Keep the footage rolling. GWAgain
Another great video Dave! A new summit for you, but Harter Fell I have climbed up that about 10 years ago. Stunning views across to the Scafell's and Bowfell too. Not your normal March weather, but very welcome though! Great photography, love to reminisce on walks from my past, fabulous ! Thanks again Dave. Best wishes Mike
Stunning views from the drone, what a fantastic place! That little lake is in an interesting position, it looks like it's perched on the side of the hill. I've not been up to the Lakes for many years but I'm definitely inspired to go again sometime.
Lots of snow when I was Last up there, great vid , I knew you'd find a good pitch 😀, defo do the Wainwrights, I'm really enjoying doing them , and been amazing places I wouldn't have seen otherwise
Some cracking views there we've all had less than ideal pitches but we always make do and there's always a handy rock lol.ive got the same bottle holder there hard to get hold of at minute like a lot of gear everywhere out of stock.i must admit I use 2p tents and have struggled a few times finding a pitch big enough but I love the room I get with the 2p tents.
Nice vid. I went up there a couple of months ago but there was zero visibility. Definitely going back when the forecast is good , views look fantastic.
Absolutely stunning as always - both the scenery and your production. I take your point about Wainwright bagging. If what someone does is race to the top, tick a list then off to the next one it may suit them but to me spoils the walk. However one good thing about bagging them is it means that you finish up wandering over areas of the Lake District which you wouldn't normally think about visiting and as you do you discover new favourite places.
Found a decent pitch in the end Dave , comfy on camp lol . I haven’t done that harter fell but the other , it looks a stunner indeed . New gear looks the biz hope your well atb Dave ⛺️👍
Hi Dave. When I first saw the picture of you at this tarn on Instagram I thought you were back at Lambfoot Dub just above the Corridor Route - clearly not! Perfect weather. Hope you’re doing well mate. Cheers, Si
Amazing temperatures last week. I was up in the Lakes for the whole week. Summits and long walks everyday. Spent a cold October day in 2020 up Harter Fell from Coniston - 15 miles and the rain didn’t help. I hate driving on the pass and wrynose. Last Friday was stunning weather. You were on Brandreth and I walked the Buttermere /Ennerdale upper fells. Looking forward to the next camp. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Dave, that brought back some nice memories, I haven't done many peaks but have done Harter fell, I went the long way round that you pointed out. Nice music to go with a fantastic view Northwards! The only thing you didn't do apart from checking your Battery is going for a swim before breakfast.
Haha. No way! It’s a great spot isn’t it⛰👍. Just watched your video on your UA-cam channel. Really enjoyed it. My new video, out tomorrow, was filmed in the same area. Keep um coming 😎 ATB - Dave
Another inspiring video Dave, thank you very much. Did you say the sky is ‘pinkering up’? I’d contact the dictionary authorities and get that word put in. It was lovely storytelling and your work with the Drone is exceptionally good I don’t know why you said otherwise. I love to see your enthusiasm for the Lake District and it’s good to see you back there. Keep safe and happy.
Loved it Dave. Always am impressed with your choice of pitch. Stunning. That opening shot is a bit of wizardry 😝. Im a bit like you with summits, not ticking off a list, but when i count them up im well on my way....Keep it up mate. Great stuff.
Another amazing video Dave, love the ending with the music, brilliant. The weather has been awesome and I managed a two day wild camp at the beginning of it. The night time was amazing bright moon (As you said like someone shinning a torch) clear sky, it was like daytime, and apart from my tent pole braking, my roll matt having a slow leak and my Befree water bottle filter being solid in the cap part, which for the life of me can't workout why that happened, I had a great time LOL! One thing that was a nice little addition, as you mentioned, to my gear was the bottle holder that goes on the shoulder strap. You don't even realise its there, so cheers for that mate. I have looked on the RR website and everything I seem to like is not in stock? I'm either too fussy or they sell their stuff like hot cakes LOL! batteries flat Dave Aaaaaaadddddmmmiiiiinnn Ha! Ha! Big thanks Merky 👍. The “paid promotion” refers to the jacket and trousers that were sent to me by RR (that I don’t even need). I get contacted regularly by companies asking me to promote their stuff, but RR were the only one I’m interested in. I’m certainly not selling my soul. If you look at nearly all other channels they are asking for likes and subs, buy me a coffee, advert breaks during the video, promoting products left right and centre, etc. The pittance I make from UA-cam doesn’t even cover my fuel costs for travelling around making these videos. I do this because I enjoy doing it, it’s as simple as that. All very real my friend. It’s keeping my going at the moment as I don’t have much else. Glad you enjoyed it 🙏🏻
Awesome video, it's a long way to the Lakes from Bristol so I only manage to get up there once or twice a year, very jealous of you lucky lot up north who can pop up there on the weekend. I do have the Brecons nearby but there's something special about the Lake District for sure. My first Wainwright was Mungrisdale Common, I figured if I started out with so say, "the worst one" then every one I did afterwards would always be better in comparison. So far it's rang true but I don't have as many as you to compare to haha! Keep up the great videos, they make for fantastic inspiration to get out there where ever it may be 👍
We've been up here once when we did little stand and scafell ... it's got to be one of the best views around 🙌... the hardknott fort really adds that next level to it doesn't it? Alot of old norse and roman history round these parts. You might have inspired me to get out and do a camp here mate... hope all is well 🙏
Great pitch Dave, Harter is a secret gem. Nice summit. I did Hardknott fell, Harter and Green crag in the same trip. Both of the other two have great views, especially Hardknott of the Scafells. How about tent lights?I have one but nobody ever mentions tent lights 😉. Belting trip pal.
@@TheSoloSummiteer Tell me about it. i’ve usually got 12-14 kg! my light is a Pika lantern which doubles as a torch/charger. i like to not use up my head torch incase i need to get down the mountain. Keep going pal. Harter is a nice summit not so well known.
Wow. Another great one Dave. I love the longer video too. Great spot camp spot again. Can’t wait for the great gable camp now. Was that a 2 day camp out in two different tents?
Would it be feasible to start at Birks Bridge, go up Harter fell, then down via Hardknott pass, past the fort and over up slight side and Scafell and back in one day?
You would have to be fitter than me. That would be a long walk with a lot of ascent. I did a video on a similar route. May be worth you having a look at it - Remote solo wild camp amongst the Scafells.
Hi Dave. Just interested of the 4 tents you have, if you had to part with 1, which would it be and why? From your comments in the video I have a suspicion which but am curious to hear your thoughts! Great location by the way - always a bonus to be that close to a water source cheers. Gary 👍
Haha. Interesting question Gary. I guess it’s the Akto. That’s the one I’ve used the least. Saying that, I now fancy getting our in it again. Watch this space 😁⛰⛺️👍

Hi Dave, what great weather, perfect for walking and filming. I did fairfield horseshoe yesterday and couldn't see a thing. Do you just use a map for navigation or a GPS map as well? And have you learnt navigation yourself or been on any particular courses? Thanks, Claire
Hi Claire. I nearly always use the OS map app is n my phone but always carry a paper map and compass. Not done a course on map reading just learned myself by practicing.

I do this because I enjoy doing it, it’s as simple as that. All very real my friend. It’s keeping my going at the moment as I don’t have much else. Glad you enjoyed it 🙏🏻
Great video as always....o just treated myself to a pair of RR trousers with your discountcode so thanks very much it saved me 16 quid.
Nice one Olan. Good saving too. Hope you enjoy them 😎👍
What a lovely area. Can't believe hardly any people up there.
I know Linda. So quiet 🙏🏻
Like always, a great video!I need to get there, ASAP!!
🙏🏻
👋.Great spot
Awesome video, it's a long way to the Lakes from Bristol so I only manage to get up there once or twice a year, very jealous of you lucky lot up north who can pop up there on the weekend. I do have the Brecons nearby but there's something special about the Lake District for sure.
My first Wainwright was Mungrisdale Common, I figured if I started out with so say, "the worst one" then every one I did afterwards would always be better in comparison. So far it's rang true but I don't have as many as you to compare to haha!
Keep up the great videos, they make for fantastic inspiration to get out there where ever it may be 👍
Big thanks Luke, really appreciate that 👍. ATB Dave
Awesome!
Amazing Dave what weather just got the same drone not had chance to use it yet though constantly windy lol.keeo up the great vids👍
Big thanks Dave 🙏🏻
We've been up here once when we did little stand and scafell ... it's got to be one of the best views around 🙌... the hardknott fort really adds that next level to it doesn't it? Alot of old norse and roman history round these parts. You might have inspired me to get out and do a camp here mate... hope all is well 🙏
Nice one HB. Big thanks 🙏🏻
The best part of doing the Wainwrights is that it takes you to parts of the LD that you might not usually visit...
Yeah. I get that Jason 👍
Many thanks UP 👍. Lights are great but it’s yet more stuff to carry and I ain’t getting any younger you know 😩😁
@@TheSoloSummiteer Tell me about it. i’ve usually got 12-14 kg! my light is a Pika lantern which doubles as a torch/charger. i like to not use up my head torch incase i need to get down the mountain. Keep going pal. Harter is a nice summit not so well known.
Wow. Another great one Dave. I love the longer video too. Great spot camp spot again. Can’t wait for the great gable camp now. Was that a 2 day camp out in two different tents?
Many thanks Mark, glad you enjoyed it🙏🏻. Yeah that’s right. Will be a few weeks before that one is out. ATB Dave
Nice! ever used the drone for a reconnaissance mission to look for camp spots?
Cheers Alex. Yes I have 😎👍
Would it be feasible to start at Birks Bridge, go up Harter fell, then down via Hardknott pass, past the fort and over up slight side and Scafell and back in one day?
You would have to be fitter than me. That would be a long walk with a lot of ascent. I did a video on a similar route. May be worth you having a look at it - Remote solo wild camp amongst the Scafells.
@@TheSoloSummiteer thx much! Great stuff you are doing. Love the solitude you bring.
Beautiful scenery. Have you ever found yourself up there having "a poo with a view"?
Haha. Very rarely. I’m pretty regular that way and don’t eat much when I’m out 😁
Another enjoyable video! You're too late for this year's Oscars, but maybe next year, eh?
Nice cap, where from
Revolution Race 👍
Under 2000ft!!😱…you’ve taken your eye off the ball Dave!😂😉
Another fantastic spot buddy & stunning footage Thankyou 👍🏻
Can I just ask you how your finding the iPhone 13pro ? Especially night shots & video…. I’m thinking about one but nighttime stuff mainly.
Thanks again for taking us along mate, epic videography 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I know J. Shameful 😞😁. Love the 13. Hardly ever use my Sony RX now. Big thanks 👍
@@TheSoloSummiteer does that mean your happy with the night stuff from the 13pro then Dave?..cheers mate for getting back to me👍🏻👍🏻
Absolutely J 😎👍. I sometimes insert night shots in my video. All taken with my 13 since I got it in November.
@@TheSoloSummiteer oh brilliant, I was hoping it was as good as reviews were saying, thanks for confirming 👍🏻 I best get one sorted now😂👍🏻
Cheers buddy looking forward to your next one.
@@J-Walks-007 just for info mine is a pro max 👍
Hi Dave, what great weather, perfect for walking and filming. I did fairfield horseshoe yesterday and couldn't see a thing. Do you just use a map for navigation or a GPS map as well? And have you learnt navigation yourself or been on any particular courses? Thanks, Claire
Hi Claire. I nearly always use the OS map app is n my phone but always carry a paper map and compass. Not done a course on map reading just learned myself by practicing.
no link 4 th bottle holder awesome location f vid tho
Hi Dave
Great video … Re RevolutionRace…. Hard to get the sizing right. What size are you and what size did you order? Hope you don’t mind me asking? Ta
Cheers. My waist is about 30, chest about 39. Got small size for both jacket and pants.
Thank you
Some people don’t like red tents. I’ve never understood why...they look awesome in the mountains.
Yeah. Love mine Steve 👍
