The best part, for me, James is how your lesson shows us how such simple jazz, augmented and diminished chords are used to build such a beautiful arrangement. There is little argument that Gilmore and Waters are terrifically talented musicians.
Thanks mate. Learned a great trick here today, like when you are going to land on E sometimes you do a little bend on the lowest string/2nd fret to make it go G and then release back to E 😄👏🏻 looks basic but I didn’t know it. Love your lessons mate thanks
Yeah, man. I've gotten to the point where I trust his ears more than my own. Of course, on the rare occasions where I disagree ,I still enjoy learning his arrangements.
the "E thing" is an Em add9.... and the other 2 chords at the end of Breathe ( as someone has already stated ) are D7#9 to D7b9... thanks for so many great songs, James....
Wow, a Magic 92 Tshirt! You have a CMF Long Live Rock too? 😎 Now I feel like heading over to the Mason Jar to see a band tonight. I wish. Fun times back then. Thanks for the lesson.
Thanks for all the lessons and tips.. And encouraging to listen to the songs, the artists and find our own interpretations and ways to express what we hear into the way we all play the guitar. So many ways to play the same chord. Thank you for helping me take my guitar playing skills to another level.
Exactly Alfy👍🏼... I just spent a bunch of time trying to write exactly what you just said..but I was getting too long and wordy... You nailed it on all points... Thanks to JJ I'm becoming an overall better guitarist and "listener" rather than just learning songs...
@@jamesjames9275 I understand.. That's why I bought many adaptors..By the way i love your tutos and your channel... You come up with many great songs and explain them really well. . BTW but If you can get access to a Boss MD200 (it's not advertising) I got myself one and it has all that Pink Floyd-Police modulation goodness and more in a single box..
Noticed you have some new subscribers. I can't believe you don't have way more. Best kept secret I guess. People don't tell their friends cuz they want to be a better guitarist. Lol. Not really though. Can't find better tutorials.

You have a great ear. You nail the chord voicing 99.9% of the time. I always watch your tutorials on a song first. Thank you for making these!

Gilmour's guitar bits are always super tasty.
Very fitting that this showed up in my feed today, my 60th birthday 🤔
Once again many thanks for this upload.
thank yous so much. i absolutely love your tutorials. even when i know how to paly the song, i still watch your videos

Appreciate your work. Thanks!
Thank you for sharing this lesson James 👍✌️

Great song…..great lesson 👍🍷
Thank you James! Great stuff as always.
I've been watching your videos for years and you still make my favorite covers/lessons on yt! You're an amazing guitarist!
Great demo/ lesson! Thanks 👍
Very cool man, you are prolific with these videos. I am very grateful for them. You seem to be really accurate. Love all of your guitars man

Much preferred WCMF(Pete and Geets?) to Magic92
Killer sounding strat
Very good, my man, yes well done.
Great lesson thanks mate
thanks for this one!!

Great one!
Those fills over the A chord during Time... Don't they remind you of a Bowie song?
Thank you for the upload, as usual!
Thanx man excellent job
Is that an original Magic 92 shirt? That era when we had at least two great radio stations in the Roc to listen to and present concerts was awesome.
Keep it up your great
I can definitely tell the in between positions on that Strat are your favorite.
You da Man, James! Go Bills!
I think the last chord goes back to the "e" welcome to the machine chord., But it's your version, and it's was damn good thank you
To me, it sounds like the last chord leaves it unresolved. That E chord thing would resolve it.
Hey JJ any way you can post a video of how you learn songs? Ear training etc?
I’ve posted a bunch of videos like that.
According to a chord finder that penultimate chord is a D7(b9)
The Magic 92 is the best .. reprint or an original?
All my original ones are long gone. I even had one of the “kickass rock n’ roll” shirts.
Now that you have over 100k subscribers when do you get your youtube button plaque
Love your stuff can I suggest you play the song through first before you break it down👍🤘🏻
Can I suggest you search my channel?
21 frets, mexi strat?
Genesee beer my friend
I’m pretty sure that Gilmour played it on a baritone strat.
No
Excellent tuto thanks!.. The only thing missing was the Phaser..What's Pink Floyd without Delay and Phaser.??.lol..
Phaser needs a new battery.

D7#9 to D9th
@@Teleman73 The second one is D7b9.
Phaser is an overrated feature when people attempt Gilmour. He used a rotating speaker more than anything. There is no phaser in this song.
“ Check out the Keeley Dark Side Workstation effects pedal if you want the exact Gilmore sounds.”

100% agree with your statement. All of it. ty James
