Dang, ya LP story that I thought was going to be a happy one, became the sad one. I gotta admit, that was rough. 😢
My sad story is my 2000 Fender American vintage reissue 52 tele that I bought new. The best playing and feeling guitar I have ever owned with incredible tuning stability, never went out of tune. Perfect! I even remember how nice she smelled. 9 years later I got laid off from a great paying job and couldnt find a new job. Then my unemployment ran out and I was 2 months behind on my rent and behind on my car loan. So I had to sell her along with a fender amp. I was sick to my stomach when the guy walked out the door with my Tele. We all sell guitars, but when you have to unload a special guitar, it's like a punch in da gut.
The pisser, 3 weeks later I finally landed a great paying job. 😡🤬
2 months later I contacted the guy and offered him what he paid for it plus 200 bucks and he said, Sorry, not interested, Im hanging onto this one. My happy and sad story all rolled into one. 😉

I had a similar situation with a PRS custom 22 years ago. I was forced to sell it. As I walked out of the post office after mailing it off it felt like I had abandoned my child. 😢
