I'm not usually into the traditional style furniture, but the craftsmanship that went into that desk is absolutely top notch! I love the handle pulls and the hidden drawer
At first I thought: "Meh.... a desk... this should get boring fast...." Boy was I wrong. I love every singl aspect of that build. The hidden drawer, the seamless drawer pulls, the curved legs, the glass door... everything. Simply said: Awesome! Oh and Muntins.... Best Regards from Germany, Daniel
I thought exactly the same thing! Iv'e seen his work before so should have known better, but it was really good to see so much of his project that he still did by hand, amazing craftmanship
I have watched a lot of UA-cam wood workers, and this is my first video I’ve seen of your. Dude, you are SAVAGE. I’m blown away right now. I started wood working last year at 32 years old and thought I was making progress.. I have re-evaluated my life after this 13 minute video. Your craftsmanship is outstanding. Great work man!
Love this!!! After I retired from military service I decided I wanted to get into wood working. I've purchased a few tools. And... yeah, that's kind of all I have done. I'm looking to build myself a nice executive desk, and a few bookcases/hutches, but with much simpler technics than you used here. Love what you've done here, it looks amazing and I'll bet it will last a few lifetimes.
Alright. Either I'm showing my age (as I'm closing in on 40 by most people's standards) or I'm maturing....but either way, Mark, this desk is probably my new favorite build. Showing the non-Festool floating tenons midway through gave me the idea to just cut one huge strip of wood, round the edges on both sides, and BAM! 6 feet of floating tenon to cut to length whenever I need it. Thanks man!
Mark, Mark, Mark.... I always knew you were a perfectionist, but this is ridiculous. It's always a pleasure to watch your videos. Not only your work is unequaled, but your videos are of high quality and you speak so well that no word goes astray. Keep eating your vegetables and be healthy. We need you for a few more years Mate.
You had me at muntin, this has to be one of the best pieces I have seen in a long time, the detail and wood made connectors show your craftsmanship. The cherry finish came out great!!!
By far my favourite project that you have done. Been following you since "A king and his Castle" your attention to detail and production values just get better and better. To be honest, you were the inspiration to making my own videos. But I imagine there are a lot of people on youtube who can say that. Thank you.
Your projects sometimes overwhelm me with their complexity and details! Taking on a project like that seems so daunting (and this is coming from a woodworker of more than 10 years). In the end, it's mostly inspiring though, so keep it up!
Beyond outstanding. You are a tenth degree master craftsman! When I feel something is at the point of zenith, I have a homemade word I use. Wonderbar!!
I haven’t watched one of your instructional videos in a while. With that music and narration, you should really start the video putting on a sweater and sneakers. Awesome desk!!!
Finishes are like opinions and... you know what. Love how that wax finish looks on the cherry it really is a living finish which can be re-applied at any time. I could see a tung oil applied on a high-use desk surface, too. As a nerd by trade and at heart, I love the tech touches and emphasis on retaining the plain wood desk surface. There are a million ways to make wood furniture fancy, so the restraint demonstrated in this project is appreciated.
Thinking about it, a slot that runs nearly the width of the piece with modular inserts might serve that purpose on another project with the requirement for many powered devices to be connected. Good to be creative in the morning hours!
Maestro Spagnuolo, you sir are the Tony Stark of all of my woodworking superheroes, tnx for such a quality inspiring woodworking video!! ( Muntin I guess is your second favorite woodworking word, the first one is Finness, just a thaught)
In. Credible. A great video and a beautiful project. Thank you for the extra time you took to make a free video for this guild project! You're a gentleman and a scholar.
After seeing this project I had subscribe, fantastic job! Thank you for all that you do with your woodworking talent, and humor! The fact you are a Mac guy is just a plus too. Have a nice Labor Day!
Awesome desk, and wicked cool glass mitts, BUT, you may want to pass on Nicole's brownies for the next few batches until the loose glass shards drop out.......hahahahahah!
Good choice on the account infinity fan, I have two of them to cool our router access points. Silent, yet a very good air flow. And the APs don't freeze any more. Software wise, I meant.
Awesome project..Muntin.. I hadn't seen before..you have truly awesome skills..and I think most of us learned a new word, and some great techniques that we'd love to try, even knowing they won't quite turn out like that. loved seeing the use of hand tools!

Everything is pure quality. It turned out nice.
I don't even want a desk, but I want this project to learn all your incredible tricks. You are the master of approachable ways to level up.
No doubt the finest woodworker on UA-cam along with Diresta.. Love the precision work and attention to detail!
13 minutes+ of pure pleasure....excellent job Mark!

'For the ALLIANCE' - excellent work
In my 60+ years on this earth I have never uttered these words, "I have serious desk envy right now"! But I have now. Awesome desk.

A secret drawer usually doesn't involve hundreds of thousands of people knowing but great job. Perfect all the way around.
A real artisan in a world full of quick and fast. Thanks!

I know this is an old video but I just found it. This is a beautiful piece!
Mark, Mark, Mark....

Jo Michat , I didn’t see a single Mark in this video. Plenty of muntin’s though.
You had me at muntin, this has to be one of the best pieces I have seen in a long time, the detail and wood made connectors show your craftsmanship. The cherry finish came out great!!!
A freaking TON of work!! Congratulations and thank you Marc!
Thanks for watching!
You're the real deal.
Congrats on an incredible project.
Not wrong in the head! Great attention to detail! Like the buffing pad finish application.
Your work is wonderful and with a high-tech touch of art it is any country you are
I really like this format. Just enough info to see what your doing and get ideas. Much like. Wow
Very sleek classic looking, love the hidden drawer
It's a pleasure to watch you build this beautiful desk 😊
That is a beautiful piece of handiwork there. I love all the little touches, from the wooden grommet cover to the hidden drawer.
It looks phenomenal, your attention to detail is really admirable.
Nice, I really like those drawer pulls.
You really are the Wood Whisperer. The desk looks amazing.

SKILLS!! I’ve watched many of your reviews but it’s nice to se me you building. Boy, I learnt lots just watching this. Thanks buddy.
Fantastic Job Mark. Looking forward to the guild
I love it! No need to feel guilty over the domino :) you’ve earned it.
Great video and the humour was...... funny, unlike 99%, well done
Haha thanks man!
Very nice work! I like that every step is easy to follow and replicate and still the end result is quite awesome!
Fun to watch , very instructive and quality craftmanship
Very beautiful desk, love the details and the beautiful handle to the drawer and the doors. Thank you for sharing your amazing video
Really love the strategic use of the sapwood. Came out beautiful Marc. Oh, and "muntins" lol - Jim
Muntins indeed, my friend!
Love the idea of the wireless charging built in. I may have to think about that if I ever build some sort of furniture in which that would be handy.
Best quote I’ve heard in a long time. “Those who enjoy the look of sapwood and those who are wrong in the head” 😂
turned out so sick dude!!
Your projects sometimes overwhelm me with their complexity and details! Taking on a project like that seems so daunting (and this is coming from a woodworker of more than 10 years). In the end, it's mostly inspiring though, so keep it up!
Beautiful desk, love how you added all the different joinery just because you could
Thank you for sharing

My goal in my woodworking is to be just as talented as you! Fantastic work Marc! Cheers from Bossier City, Louisiana!
So glad you are making videos again.
After such a long break, it's good to finally be back! Let's do this!
@@woodwhisperer almost forgot. muntin.
#muntin
Impressive. You are a skilled craftsman. beautiful piece. Love your sense of humor.
Finishes are like opinions and... you know what. Love how that wax finish looks on the cherry it really is a living finish which can be re-applied at any time. Thanks man. SOO much restraint. I really wanted to pop electronic grommets everywhere but decided against it, lol.
Thinking about it, a slot that runs nearly the width of the piece with modular inserts might serve that purpose on another project with the requirement for many powered devices to be connected. Good to be creative in the morning hours!
It annoys me how easy you make this look! I say this seriously but also with some jest, keep up the good work!
Very nice!! I like the drawer handles especially. They look really cool with the overall design of the desk! Awesome!! 🥇👍
That hidden drawer is amazing. I love the drawer handles
BEAUTIFUL!!! Nice clean look even with all the components in place! Good work!
Alternative to the locking mechanisms: bed hooks. Take a few minutes to make sure they are lined up right, and it'll be strong enough to sleep on.
Wood Whisperer is the GOAT
That Mac Pro is awesome! Good woodworking as always!
Lol macs are junk
Maestro Spagnuolo, you sir are the Tony Stark of all of my woodworking superheroes, tnx for such a quality inspiring woodworking video!! ( Muntin I guess is your second favorite woodworking word, the first one is Finness, just a thaught)
Absolutely beautiful work Marc and awesome video.
Appreciate it!
What a meticulous piece of art! Keep up the great content dude!
That is a work of art in the finest detail Thx for a Muntin crazy day.
Wonderful work and beautiful design. I like it.
How could anyone not like this?

Wow! Gorgeous piece. The finish is NICE!
The desk is beautiful and well thought out. Impressive
What a treat to watch you build this desk. Wish I'd seen this video before I started on my own desk. Might have to start over ... ;)
Wow you make it look so easy. I've got some skills but nothing on your level...thanks for sharing and keep up the excellent work!!👍😆
That desk is gorgeous, and I really like the finish. I personally don't mind maintaining my own items if it gives me more benefits.
I literally never forget the name of those cross pieces now LOL - MUNTIN!
woodworking at a totally different level... I am jealous of your talent
In. Credible. A great video and a beautiful project. Thank you for the extra time you took to make a free video for this guild project! You're a gentleman and a scholar.

Thanks Chris. Appreciate you watching!
Awesome little taste of this project. Thanks for sharing!!
You know you’re a GOD when you make your own oil... this would take me 100 years to replicate!
Nice video, thanks so much Mark! We miss you in Arizona
Excellent work. The details make all the difference. Muntin else to say.
Awesome desk, and wicked cool glass mitts, BUT, you may want to pass on Nicole's brownies for the next few batches until the loose glass shards drop out.......hahahahahah!
Great project, I especially loved the drawer handles
Pretty dang nice Mark. Thanks for sharing.
Now that is a desk one can be proud of.
Thanks!
Great project and love the commentary!
Nice. I really like the drawer pulls.
Amazing work. Love watching a master at work. Thx for sharing.
Knocked it out of park on this project, Marc! Well done, sir!
Drawer pulls were pretty cool!
You couldn’t just go to IKEA. No. Had to go and get all fancy. Love it.
Stunning. Fantastic project and great edit. A joy to watch, thank you!
Wow, really nice piece of furniture.
Good choice on the account infinity fan, I have two of them to cool our router access points. Silent, yet a very good air flow. And the APs don't freeze any more. Software wise, I meant.
Really nice desk build. Enjoyed watching your video. Way beyond my skill level.
Really love that sap wood! This was fun to watch!
Great job as always! The 22 dislikes must be the sapwood haters out there.
Made a sneaky little hidden drawer *shows it on YT with half a million subscribers lol* nice build man ;) good craftsmanship!
Great build Marc. Enjoyed the video as always. Keep up the great work.
The sculpted pulls are a really neat feature!
Am I the only one concerned by the fact that Mark plays an Affliction Lock? Oh well... at least it's an Alliance Lock!!
Awesome project..Muntin.. I hadn't seen before..you have truly awesome skills..and I think most of us learned a new word, and some great techniques that we'd love to try, even knowing they won't quite turn out like that. loved seeing the use of hand tools!
Already on my Christmas list! Looks great
Awesome job Marc! Really love this project
i consider you the LeBron of woodworking
Another outstanding build.. Keeping us motivated!
