Ripley destroying MOTHER is a great moment, it shows her defiance towards the AI system and the corporate 'family' culture it represents. She cuts ties from this 'MOTHER' system/ship/company from now on and is finally her own free person.

Alien 1979 upscaled to 4K from the Blu-ray version, with no DNR used. Edited and color graded in HDR and Dolby Vision. Although UA-cam currently doesn't support Dolby Vision, the video is HDR compatible. If UA-cam ever supports Dolby Vision in the future, this video should play in Dolby Vision as intended.
- Watch in HDR for best results! Watching this in SDR may produce colour inaccuracies due to the way UA-cam converts HDR to SDR.

What is the relationship between Jonesy and the xenomorph? Are they friends or is Jonesy afraid of it? Very intriguing. In the Director's cut the xenomorph slapped the cat cage aside, which I hate 😡

🇮🇹 🇮🇹 🇮🇹 Alcuni fan teorizzano che Jonesy e l'Alien siano connessi e che addirittura il gatto trovi le vittime per quest'ultimo! 😅 In realtà ciò non è vero! È solo la fantasia di qualche fan!
Il gatto è profondamente connesso a Ripley (infatti, contro ogni logica, rischia tutto per salvarlo) in quanto è ciò che la lega alla sua natura umana, che è stata stravolta fin dal primo momento che è entrata in contatto con l'Alien (questo elemento è sottolineato particolarmente nel terzo capitolo della saga, in alcuni dialoghi).
Una volta, a lezione all'università, il mio professore di cinema disse che il gatto rappresentava "l'animale totemico".

Further evidence is when it lured that engineer/trucker looking guy into the bay, hissed at him (cat for "Haha F U!") and the alien killed him! :P
