Realistically fire seems to be the most common of those damage types in the game, at least on normal and below. With some magic armour that reduces damage taken you quite often take 0 damage from environmental effects and can basically ignore fire spells cast on you. Fire breath can also ignite a lot of things and cause explosions. That being said, a LOT of things also have fire immunity/resistance in this game - devils in particular - so your breath is not ideal for dealing with them. Then again, breath weapon falls off VERY quickly in terms of damage and is only really useful for martials that usually lack an AoE finisher.
Also, fire breath is useless against Commander Zhalk, but other breaths are quite nice for that fight.
Overall though, I would say that Gold/Red are the best subspecies.

I really beileve dragonborn and tiefling should have a 3rd racial feature, which should be bonus action for their tails. That would be really awesome in my opinion. It should scale with leveling up and do either sweeping action that may leave a creature prone, an attack option that does piercing damage. What do you guys think?

the one issue with that is as a deagonborn you can choose to have no tail
i think something better would be maybe giving them an ac bonus because of the scales, maybe your breath weapon upgrades as you level, darkvision, possibly some way to like pick a clan and get proficiencies or cantrips or something? just anything to make them better because i love dragonborn
i dont have anything for tieflings because i dont play them
I did green dragon ancestry for circle of spore Druid seemed to fit the theme

Great video. People are really sleeping on Dragonborn. They might be my favorite race just because the resistances they provide are good for most any class.

In baldur's gate 2 there was a quest which a dragon could transform to human. It was the enemy by the way.

I'm going with a female Silver Dragonborn not sure which class to pick her as I thinking of going with Ranger eventually Gloomstalker Ranger, or Fiend Warlock that goes with Pact of the Blade as the Pact Boon.
What is the difference between acid and poison?
They are completely different damage types, as different as fire or cold (albeit, they sound do sound similar).
Typically, many things are resistant to poison damage (dwarves, undead, etc) and poison effects are usually CONstitution saves (like "puff of poison" cantrip), and poison effects are relatively more common (like the ease of poison coatings on weapons). Few creatures are resistant to acid damage, and it is relatively less common of a damage type, and are typically DEXterity saves (like from the "acid splash" cantrip).
For gameplay, poison is likely a more useful resistance, but a less useful damage type to deal, and vice versa for acid.

@@AchillesMele thank *you* for the video. Although, I'd really really like another video that showed each breath weapon's tooltip and gray area of effect cone on the ground. Because I think they're all short ish cones, not lines, right?
That a bit sad, i may not get it right but dragonborn seem actually a bit weakin term of race feature. Maybe intended becuz they want it in way where dragon born is the try hard race character i suppose.

@@AchillesMele damn it's a free trial for 2 hrs only 😂 I never got past the ghaik console for that ship. The premium trial should've been replayable like the Minecraft Demo.
