I've been a hyundai owner since 2007, from the old Veracruz, Santa Fe turbo, Tucson, Palisade, and now Santa Fe Calligraphy hybrid. This is a really wild exterior. But I like different. Haven't really committed to total EV yet, but this one could change my mind. Great review, guys !!!!
And in this case, different is really good, in my opinion. I wonder what the 2026 Palisade will be like. I'm afraid it will disappoint after seeing this one.

Your right nothing about this design looks attractive at all it just look weird and in your face doesn’t even look good they need to take tips from Volkswagen on how to make on non offensive styling
I like it. I don’t need or want a car that is that big, so I’m more looking forward to the new smaller Kia EV’s. But Hyundai and Kia are making some excellent EV’s right now.
You guys are amazing and so professional! But I LOVE that you kept your little destruction of the storage console 😂 Please make a video of your bloopers 😊
It's such a small thing to notice, but I'm surprised they didn't include their usual spring loaded cupholders, they provide a nice bit of versatility in that part of the console. Other than that, what an awesome vehicle. Never did I imagine a decade ago that Hyundai/Kia would be at the front of my mind when it came to innovation
It's not ugly but the pixel thing is overdone here. It's getting kinda old and cringy. Also obviously gonna cost north of $70k and the interior materials are pretty cheap looking for the top trim.
One thing is for sure, Hyundai will market this thing so well that no matter how many issues it has or how many recalls it gets, people will still buy it simply because it’s new and shiny. Hyundai deserves so much credit for offering vehicles that give customers comfort, modern features, and futuristic looks for low prices. However, it seems to have gotten to a point where they don’t know what else to make. It doesn’t take away from their innovative designs, but something about this ioniq 9 still feels like an abstract concept car rather than a finished vehicle.
Anyone else feel many of the Korean brands seem to draw inspiration from Volvo for their exterior designs? Genesis and Hyundai certainly look it, which is good imo
Two things. Love all the pixels in the lights - why are they not incorporating this in the interior? This is the cleanest front end they've done - but their weird ass take on fender flares and plastic trim seriously needs to be changed. Most of their current cars are excellent designs, let down by gross tacked on plastic bits that don't need to exist. Remember, less is more.....This car would be stunning without those weird fender caps - they ruin the beautiful lines of the car - I don't even mind the black trim piece that goes from front to back - that part looks pretty good. I'm gonna go photoshop out the fender parts and see what it looks like....
I’m going to sit this one completely out. I never cared for Volvos that much. And this one looks like it got into a rear end collision with a Hyundai and t-boned by a Pontiac Aztec. Wait… this is a not a Volvo? Girl… STOOOOP!
It probably cost similar to the Kia EV9. You will probably still have dealer and state rebates. Federal is up in the air with this current administration.
Ionic 9 would be more appealing if this was a HYBRID product. Pure EV vehicles are garbage! There are many negative issues with 100% electric vehicles. The carbon "footprint" they present is NOT smaller than ICE vehicles. The deteriorating power grid, inoperative charging stations, and the problem of what to do with dead batteries present daunting challenges with no easy solutions on the horizon. The current technology for EV vehicles is massively inadequate. No amount of fancy marketing can disguise these painful truths.
agreed, electric is likely not long term solution for everyone, requires rebuilding everything from power plant to every parking spot in every condo and apartment complex etc....and then they get totalled out by damage to battery, and now even the ice turbo engines many are garbage,,,, shorter life ice engines is not solution either. But the hybrids that have been shown to work...more needed
Does Hyundai even know how to design a normal looking vehicle atp? All of Kia and Hyundai vehicles look like werid science projects gone wrong and very in cohesive designs the old saying is true LESS IS MORE
Hyundai is not playing anything safe at all. They take what they have as a concept and make it into production form. Ykw this reminds me of? It reminds me of concept minivans from the 90’s and 2000’s that’s what this looks like and yk it’s not particularly “ugly” it’s just odd looking. Almost looks like a whale from every proportion. It’s everything but normal looking. Now I’m on edge about how the palisade looks. All the tech and luxury features like the power second row is nice, I like that. It’s very much “bougie on a budget”.
Not another problematic Hyundai! Didn’t they buy back their cars because they had major problems? I wonder what its safety ratings are? Likely not good…

EV9 looks much better in my opinion
This looks awesome. Love the specs. Hopefully the price is reasonable.

As per the spy shots online the interior looks like New Palisade.
I keep moving toward the Sequoia.

😁 thanks!
Having a start/ stop button seems unnecessary in most EVs. I love the interior design of this SUV.
Their designers have some issues with the back 😂
Your right nothing about this design looks attractive at all it just look weird and in your face doesn’t even look good they need to take tips from Volkswagen on how to make on non offensive styling
looks like the Volvo XC90😂
looks great to me. love the volvo like rear

The IONIQs have always been extremely efficient so might be a good bet on this IONIQ 9 too. I love it. Prefer its look over the EV9.

As soon as I saw the name, suggesting it's electric, I closed the video
Great job guys, updated eyebrows, new hairstyle and new moustache. Great new features for 2026
Thanks for the review and insight!
Our pleasure!
I don’t know why, but the exterior is giving me a 70’s/80’s vibe.
It looks great from the front, especially with no logo. Unfortunately, that sad, outdated logo is slapped on right on the back.
The Amazon vans built by Rivian have a similar tailight design without the pixels.
Beautiful cars are good for the future
Thanks so much for sharing this review of the all-new 2026 Hyundai IONIQ 9 SUV
Thanks for watching!
Toyota dealers' jealousy exploded in the comments. 😂😂😂
wtf is that back LOLLOOOLOLOLOLOLL
That is sick the Ioniq 9 which is the new sibling to the Kia EV9
It's not ugly but the pixel thing is overdone here. It's getting kinda old and cringy. Also obviously gonna cost north of $70k and the interior materials are pretty cheap looking for the top trim.
Hyundai should bring back the hybrid/gas ioniq

Kia is killing Hyundai in terms of design because man this thing is ugly.
It’s funny, because Hyundai and Kia basically own each other.
Interior is nice, but I don’t know how I feel about that rear. Too station wagon-y
Anyone else feel many of the Korean brands seem to draw inspiration from Volvo for their exterior designs? Genesis and Hyundai certainly look it, which is good imo

Interesting vehicle! Drew likes to destroy things! 😂😂😂. The rear end has the resemblance of a Volvo.
😂😂
IONIQ Hearse
See here's the thing I like the design but it looks kind of funky and weird IDK I probably would have went for the ev9 honestly
Wow they finally released it! It looks good
Looks like a van mixed with station wagon
Yes
Looking at the shape, it's almost essentially an electric Santa Fe.
please we need a comparison with the vf9
Make this 40k and it will sell like crazy.
Looks like a 90's volvo station wagon from the back
Only Hyundai could achieve this level of funky. But I think I like it 😂
2026???!😱🤩🤩🫡
And also 3 Row?? WoW! 😯
Does anyone know the beat/song they use during the car confections logo?
I’m going to sit this one completely out. I never cared for Volvos that much. And this one looks like it got into a rear end collision with a Hyundai and t-boned by a Pontiac Aztec. Wait… this is a not a Volvo? Girl… STOOOOP!
No rear wiper
No They kept it hidden for you. Are you disappointed?

I like everything except the back

It’s like a damn hearse! They will sell a ton to funeral homes!
😂😂😂
that’s exactly what i was thinking.
Toyota dealers' jealousy explodes.😂😂😂
If you're jealous, you lose
Front 🗿 rear 🤡
Nahhh mid at best 🤔
Exterior is Chevrolet traverse 2010.
Thanks.
EV9 is far better looking
The front end is not going to hold up very well with rock chips and bug grime. Hyundai designs are ugly, they are making Toyota look good now.
Not doing a roadtrip in electric car
Were is your sense of adventure
I do it all the time< no biggie

If it’s garbage don’t buy it. If there’s no market for EVs they will go away on their own
That looks like the Lucid Gravity
Rear looks like a Nissan Quest
drew kinda looks like troye sivan
Mason got a shelf
Hyundai MUST fired the designer who designed that UGLY key 😂😂😂
Hyundai tends to change their key design every 2 or 3 years so just wait and they'll probably change it soon 😂

I didn't understand why they give you a car that has so many things that aren't working. Makes no sense.
Damn thats ugly.
😂😂😂
Literally
Feels like they decided to copy Og Saturn Vue 😂
You will learn to like it.
@@brokeboy87 How?
Is it just me or does the back end look like a Volvo XC90?
who designed it?
Another 3 row luxury family school bus ... EV going to be heavy not bad design
Designers best attempt at stealing design cues from a Range Rover, Cadillac and Volvo 😂😂
199 inches?
New GMC Acadia has 204 inches long.
Hyundai lying about those range numbers. That heavy thing definitely gonna get low 200 miles in the "performance" trim
Hyundai doing too much😂

just what we need, another big, heavy, EV to clog up the roads... thanks Hyundai

Yes absolutely 💯!! The front kills it for me... I'll keep looking

This will never sell. Radically ugly styling.
Yea....I have to agree that this pretty ugly😂
