This Passport looks so nice & ok Honda has added a lot of standard features I love that… hopefully they add on a panoramic roof to the Accord to be somewhat more on the Camrys level
Honda definitely got some inspiration from the bronco sport in the design elements. Really in the C and D pillar. And Finally, thank you Honda for actually making the passport different from the pilot because that’s basically what the previous gen was. A short wheelbase pilot. This has its own unique flare. I really like the way it looks
Thanks guys! Excellent review as usual! As you mentioned, I am hoping that these updates (or more) make their way to the Pilot! It seems that, with this new Passport, Honda is catching up a bit with their technology! So nice to see. I look forward to your test drive report in the future!
I am looking to buy one---if test drive and walkaround go well---coupled with a good deal!! Would like to see the Elite. Looking forward to your test drive!
You guys are the BEST! So many detail in this short preview. You Rock!! I think that this will be very popular as people have been waiting for a redesign for a couple of year now. With that being said, if this is popular, expect to see some big discounts on the current '24/'25 model years. So if you don't mind the antiquated Tech, the 9 speed Transmission, then you may want to opt for the '24/'25 model years which I think looks good on the outside. If you could stick this new dash, instrument cluster and Transmission in the current version, that would be my ideal Crossover. Just my 2 cents. Keep up the great reviews!!!
Hi Guys!! Love your reviews and appreciate that you measure the interior cargo space! Just curious... what is the loading floor height from ground level? Asking for us shorter ladies with diva dogs who need a boost to load up! Great looking SUV, BTW!!
I dont know how i feel about the plastic above the rear window. If it really is for things like fishing rods, they should have put some sort of groove or notch to hold them. Im jot leaning my rod against a smooth flat surface while I rig. Good flyrods are very light and will be blown over by a slight breeze on that smooth surface. Ask me how I know.
Is this engine going to have a big recall like most of the V6 in these past few years? So Timing Belt, poor MPG, Dealer Markup, Direct Injection, VCM, and likely engine issues as with most V6 from Honda in the past few years.
did I detect a shelf in the dashboard? These are the things I wish you would always bring more to attention immediately, including whether or not they are offering any under console storage. Man, if they can put this thing out in a decent hybrid, Half the world would jump on this thing!
Thec4th Generation Pilot 2023-2025 has dashboard shelf. The 1 Generation Ridgeline 2006-2014 had dashboard shelf. I think 2nd Generation Pilot had it also. We have 1st Generation Ridgeline Ridgeline in family.
outside looks very good, disappointed in the inside, but it is a mass consumer SUV, so can't ask for much. I wish the seat bottoms were longer for taller people, my Kia has long seat bottoms that are a lifesaver on long trips, but Honda and Toyota seem to prefer shorter seats. Im glad to see the upgraded screen as well.
I wonder how strong the flooring cover is in the cargo area? What's it made out of? Anyone know? Not sure how it would hold up to hauling a 350lb wheelchair in the back.
The front of this car looks like a Bronco Sport, the rear of this car is just a carbon copy of a first generation Saturn Vue. I never thought I’d be seeing Saturn Vue design elements again until this.
I say that was a cost saving decision. The Pilot Elite and Black Edition have it. Some Acura MDX trim packages have it. The Honda bean counters were at it again. You just would have figured that Passport TrailSport Elite would have this feature. But that might have pushed it passed price point of Pilot Elite.
This reminds me a little of the Element. Especially the back end and cargo space. I wonder if the V-6 has that stupid cylinder management or is the new motor a redesign? It checks a lot of boxes for me.
It sure looks the part and that's all that matters these days as 5% of them will ever see a dirt road. The increase cargo space is great for Costco and Whole Food runs.
Ion how to feel about the exterior ...is giving to polarized for me, I think I already saw this design in another brand. But glad that Honda is investing money on Passport to make him the off road of the fleet
First- While I am glad Honda has finally leveled up to the competition it looks and features, not offering a hybrid and still relying on their aging 6-cylinder that gets probably the worst MPG in this class is just pitiful. Why? And not getting into the EV game is even more pitiful when you have Rivian (with their upcoming R2) leading the way. One step forward….two steps back! But I will say Honda unveiling this now means the current Passport should have huge discounts in about 6 months!
@ Yes, but honda is way behind in offering hybrids for the Pilot, Passport and Odyssey that all get horrible mileage. There is just no excuse at this point.
The 12 inch screen is nice, it’s a good reference of what it would look like on the pilot. However it’s very “old Audi” like in the way it sticks up out the dash, very far foward.
Yellow DRL are very nice. Kia had them first long time ago and I thought they looked real nice. The fake hood scoop, wouldn't that make it less aerodynamic? It sucks that you have to go elite to get ventilated seats and 360 cam. Can this compete with the new 4runner?
20 to 21 MPG. Deal killer - no thinks. No hy-brid! 18” inch wheels - thanks for the hit on cost of ownership. 17” would have been perfectly functional and much lower price point.
I agree….. I would rather just have rugged cloth seats. I had a 2015 Pilot SE and I loved the cloth seats. They kept cool in the hot SoCal summers and no sticking to leather and no need for ventilated seats, or heated seats in the winter.
Still waiting for any car reviewer to call out these car manufacturers for having a negative angle head rests. Sit in the seat and seriously relax. Let your head fall back and it feels like your head is constantly being pushed forward from behind. These seats keep getting more and more uncomfortable.
It’s for safety reasons. It’s to prevent whiplash. They’re not going to sacrifice safety for complete comfort. Also, car companies have been sued thousands of times because of the design of the headrest and the driver/passenger getting whiplash.
Not bad, but I don't get why the automakers are afraid to ever go more rugged and utilitarian. EVERY vehicle today is basically the same, especially on the interior.
I don't think so. I don't think the Highlander or Grand Highlander look better than Pilot. I don't think Toyota smaller Cross Suv looks better than a Honda HR-V. They always talk about Honda vehicles interior being lacking dated. Look at Toyota Cross compared to HR-V.
Hopefully they improved the back up camera quality, Honda has had one of the worst I’ve seen. 360 cameras should be standard, they are more useful than other gimmicky item like paddle shifters or lane keep assist
When y’all gonna do that donk test tho??? I spent 7K on this BBL so how am gonna know if this car is good enough to protect the investment I made in my cakes???? C’mon now boo boo I needs to know!!!
@ CRVs also have orange stitching in them. It’s what’s kept me from getting a new one. It’s too much money to spend to hate what the interior looks like.
Yeah that’s dumb expensive for what you get. I get that it’s bigger and rugged but… yeah that’s too much. Might as well just get a Mazda cx50. Looks just as nice and way less expensive.

It’s about time Honda did something with the Passport. That is a good looking SUV..!!!!
I love that they kept the v6 👏
Very nice. Looks like they got it just right. Thanks
Very rugged, masculine vehicle. Love this more than the Pilot.
This Passport looks so nice & ok Honda has added a lot of standard features I love that… hopefully they add on a panoramic roof to the Accord to be somewhat more on the Camrys level

This is definitely my favorite Honda redesign in recent years. It looks great!
Thanks guys! Excellent review as usual! As you mentioned, I am hoping that these updates (or more) make their way to the Pilot! It seems that, with this new Passport, Honda is catching up a bit with their technology! So nice to see. I look forward to your test drive report in the future!
Thank you!!
I wonder if the 2026 - 2027 Ridgeline will have a similar look
I'm hoping that is does. It looks very truck-like from the front.
We're all hoping 🙏
I love how it looks. Reminds me of my 2013 Pilot
Fantastic video!😸
I am looking to buy one---if test drive and walkaround go well---coupled with a good deal!! Would like to see the Elite. Looking forward to your test drive!

A lot nicer than a bronco I’d definitely trade my 24 civic for this
Hi Guys!! Love your reviews and appreciate that you measure the interior cargo space! Just curious... what is the loading floor height from ground level? Asking for us shorter ladies with diva dogs who need a boost to load up! Great looking SUV, BTW!!
Now I just want Nissan to bring back the Xterra using the Frontier drivetrain. I think Honda did well with this
Any idea if the redesigned ridgeline will take its styling from this new passport?
so how is honda able to keep the v6 and still meet regulations, while the 4runner has to have a 4-cylinder turbo??
Nice redesign! How is the lane centering with the newest Honda Sensing system? Does it keep the car centered in the lane even on freeway curves?
Will it be good enough that I want to trade my 2023 Lexus GX 460?
They need to add that screen in the pilot ASAP
Not much thought integrating the info screen. Looks just slapped on.
honda make the ridgeline look like this and i’m in
Hell yeah , if Ridgeline pricing around 38k. I might get it instead of Passport.
Redesign Ridgeline prices will be comparable with Passport. The will streamline the varants just like Passport @@cancel.lgbtq.6892

Is the VCM system in Honda V6’s reliable for long term ownership?
Perfect opportunity to bring back the element
Is this engine going to have a big recall like most of the V6 in these past few years?
So Timing Belt, poor MPG, Dealer Markup, Direct Injection, VCM, and likely engine issues as with most V6 from Honda in the past few years.

The Honda Passport! It's a solid midsize SUV, right? It's got that rugged look and plenty of space for adventures.
What is the overall length of the Passport? it doesn't look that much shorter than the Pilot.
190 inches. The Pilot is 200.
Is that a Honda Bronco Sport?
outside looks very good, disappointed in the inside, but it is a mass consumer SUV, so can't ask for much. I wish the seat bottoms were longer for taller people, my Kia has long seat bottoms that are a lifesaver on long trips, but Honda and Toyota seem to prefer shorter seats.

Nice to see normal size grills making a comeback
I wonder how strong the flooring cover is in the cargo area? What's it made out of? Anyone know? Not sure how it would hold up to hauling a 350lb wheelchair in the back.
The front of this car looks like a Bronco Sport, the rear of this car is just a carbon copy of a first generation Saturn Vue. I never thought I’d be seeing Saturn Vue design elements again until this.
It has a bit of Bronco Sport look to it but in a way that I love it
Ridgeline?
I hope Honda brings that 12.3 inch screen to the 2026 model year Pilot! Too bad this passport has no HUD.
Passenger seat height adjustment?
Honda really needs to get away from reflector and start offering projector led headlights.
Side profile giving Land Rover Discovery vibes - nice job Honda
From Honda to the Mazda.....I would go back to Honda for this.
This reminds me a little of the Element. Especially the back end and cargo space. I wonder if the V-6 has that stupid cylinder management or is the new motor a redesign? It checks a lot of boxes for me.
Will there be a base trim EX-L trim?
Nope.
As of now, these will be the only 3 trims
@@CarConfections another reviewer mentioned an RTL trim.
@@kathysmith4026 At 1:42 you can see the three trims listed in order by price. Full equipment information is not yet available.
Tuşların yerinde olmasına sevindim dokunmatik ekranları sevmedim sevmiyorum daha ciddi daha kaliteli daha faydalı doğru seçilmiş tuş takımları güzel😍💓
Huh?????
It sure looks the part and that's all that matters these days as 5% of them will ever see a dirt road. The increase cargo space is great for Costco and Whole Food runs.
Now Toyota needs to bring back the V6 for the Rav 😭😭
Looks ❤❤❤
Dream car🤤🤤
45k for a Honda passport is insane
lol. Same with a 4Runner. 🤷🏽♂️
Things aren’t gettin cheaper either. So get use to it. 🤷🏽♂️
That 45k is worth it tho. Unlike owning German overpriced junks.
Nice🇸🇦
Similar To Land Rover Discovery Past Generation
Great, a 12.3 inch display on the passport but 9 inch on the pilot and CRV two most bought vehicles in the U.S. 🤦🏽♂️ what was they thinking?
Honda the best!!!
Ion how to feel about the exterior ...is giving to polarized for me, I think I already saw this design in another brand. But glad that Honda is investing money on Passport to make him the off road of the fleet
Look at those "Toyota" lights 😂
First- While I am glad Honda has finally leveled up to the competition it looks and features, not offering a hybrid and still relying on their aging 6-cylinder that gets probably the worst MPG in this class is just pitiful. Car makers can't win... Toyota fans are enraged that Toyota is getting rid of the normally aspirated V6 and replacing with a 4 cylinder turbo hybrid
Looks good, but I don't like that they made it wider. Now there's a huge gap between the size of the CRV and Passport. Nothing inbetween
There already was a huge gap between the Passport and CR-V
@@21Piloteer Well, now it's twice as big!
This should be the next ridgeline foundation.
Yellow DRL are very nice. Kia had them first long time ago and I thought they looked real nice. The fake hood scoop, wouldn't that make it less aerodynamic? It sucks that you have to go elite to get ventilated seats and 360 cam. Can this compete with the new 4runner?
Would it have VCM? No, Good: Yes, Bad
Yes
@@fredmoss4540 That'a too bad Thanks
All starting at the incredibly low price of 60k before taxes and markups
Front is cool. Rear is still 2008 design
20 to 21 MPG. Deal killer - no thinks.
No hy-brid!
18” inch wheels - thanks for the hit on cost of ownership. 17” would have been perfectly functional and much lower price point.
The fake vent on the hood looks ridiculous (imo)….just a place for dirt to collect.
Why why why!
We got 2026 cars, and it isn't even 2025 yet
Anybody who thinks that real leather is an "upgrade" hasn't fully thought it through. Real leather is like GDI; it's good at first.
I agree….. I would rather just have rugged cloth seats. I had a 2015 Pilot SE and I loved the cloth seats. They kept cool in the hot SoCal summers and no sticking to leather and no need for ventilated seats, or heated seats in the winter.
It would be super expensive and markup, don't get attached
8.3 inches is kind of disappointing. The Outback Wilderness has 9.5, and the new 4Runner has 9.2.
An American design with a Japanese logo
Looks akin to the Toyota FJ Cruiser
Why nobody opened the hood to see the engine?
We were not allowed to because some elements were not production-ready under the hood
Same engine as 4th Generation Pilot 2023-2025 we've seen it.

Yes - they are for safety first, there are codes they must adhere to. Simple as that.

Not bad, but I don't get why the automakers are afraid to ever go more rugged and utilitarian. EVERY vehicle today is basically the same, especially on the interior.
Too expensive. If you get the Trailsport elite for the price you can get a real off road like Ranger Raptor, ZR2 etc.
Big bronco sport
So Honda can actually design something that people want instead of vanilla looking cars and suvs.
green one in thumbnail but all orange in the video 🤨
They were all so close to each other, this one was the only one I could get a decent angle on

" It's gotta be about 40 inches of headroom"........Oh please, it is almost the same distance as your knee to the driver seat measurement.
