Did you get the replacement Kai Ying KY-Z2? I finally flew mine... No waddle. Fun to fly, just don't stop abruptly. That leads to swinging. However, the tail does "hang down" in hover and forward flight. I wonder if it a center of gravity issue. I still feel these things need a control gyroscope/reaction wheels like Cubli.
This IS THE EXACT PROBLEM I had, trying to figureout the controller! Channel 5 3-position toggle switch is "Flight Mode". Channel 7 2-position toggle switch is "Dual Rates"[Rudder:D|R]. Channel 8 3-position toggle switch is "Motor Unlocking Switch". Strangely, the transmitter is missing the channel 6 toggle switch that a standard HotRC HT-8A should have. They have videos of it on UA-cam...this is the older version.
Wow that good to know. Also, I reported the issue to Banggood because that’s where I order it from. They’re trying to reach out to the manufacture and find out a way to fix the issue so I’ll keep you posted.
@@lewiswhitfield4362 when the switch is down, it’s throttle cut in middle position is motor arm and the top. I’m not too sure what that is yet. Unfortunately I have to send my bird back to China because I have a bad one.
@@lewiswhitfield4362 SWD-8 is actually channel 6. It is the motor unlocking switch. Position 1. (from the bottom) is locked. Position 2. is unlocked. And Position 3. Is unlocked with alarm(?). SWA-5 (channel 5) is the flight mode . Position 1. is manual mode. To unlock the motor in this mode. The throttle(collective) must be held down. Position 2. is altitude flight mode. GPS must have acquired enough satellites and the blue LED light be solid. Throttle stick can be in the neutral position when unlocking the motors. Position 3. is return to home. SWC-7 is the dual rates...Position 1. I think is high rate and Position 2 is low rate. I find it funny the controller really is an HotRC HT-7A...not an HT-8A. Also one of the antennas doesn't work.
would you be able to take a picture of the front of your TX so we can see the switch settings? I received mine in early October. Impossible to fly, it basically tries to destroy itself and behaves like the controller is completely faulty. Waiting for a replacement.
Sorry for the late response. Unfortunately I do not have the aircraft anymore. I was trying to send it back to banggood, but it got lost through the Chinese customs.

No unfortunately it was lost in Chinese custom.

@@pilotbowser9980 I also noticed the channel 6 toggle is actually in the SWD-8 hole...on the transmitter.
Mine just arrived today, have you guys figured out the 3 positions switch on the right?

how did you turn the motors on iv tryed every thing but my motors will not arm run
You could have a bad ESC. The sad part is I had to send my back because it was defective and it was lost in customs.
@@pilotbowser9980 I think it's the radio the revers trims and the normal trims are not working
Keep it up!
I will and thank you!
CG?
Not sure because I no longer own it. It was lost in China customs while I was trying to return it for repairs.
