Hey Dave I loved that video. Great views but some sketchy areas to walk on like that ridge but I bet it was some great fun. There is nothing that compares to the mountains. Thank you for letting me come along again. I'm looking forward to seeing more places. Be safe my friend. Dwayne
Were a cracking trip this pal really enjoyed it & what a route eh..loved that down climb of Y Gribin & the drone footage you got it it don't half show its scale mind blowing..take care pal see ya nxt time.
Great climb up to the the pitch Dave 👍, them scramble sections looked really good and also technical, loved the atmospheric drone work, class mate, atb Mick 👍
Found it! Nice to see the route with a bit more visibility. Looks like the weather conditions coming up were flipped. Not great on the hike but great at camp 👍. Great video!
Ace Dave!👍🏻 it’s like Jurassic world up on the Glyders init👌🏻.. my No2 best hike of all time although I went the opposite way to you buddy, absolutely amazing place! Loved this footage & the Audio with the drone around the Arête was mint👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 Cheers buddy
Brilliant video as always Dave. Stunning scenery but looked scary in places on those ridges. Good to get out with your mates as well for a laugh and drive each other on. Good decisions taken and nothing lost in content of video. A great watch. Stay safe mate.👍
Thanks for the memories Dave. I’ve done these brilliant mountains just the once as a 15 year old on a trip with the crazy climbing and walking teachers at my old school (Alfs) in 1966. Great video as usual. Cheers
Great stuff Dave. Too scary those routes for me! Keep using those trekking poles. They’ll save you knees. I tell that to the young bus but they don’t believe me. ATB
Have to say Dave, went last year with a couple of experienced mates. We went up Sinister Gully. There is a point about two thirds up which spooked me........did it in the end with good help pointing out the route. I'm only into basic scrambling, that was a little tricky.....
Another great and inspiring video. The scrambling looked really good but you wouldn't have got me doing that Adam and Eve nonsense! 😀 So thank you Dave, now I have watched you doing it I don't need to. Towards the end when you said you had an idea for a second I thought you were going for a dip in the water! 🥶 Your work is just superb. Can't wait to see what you get up to next.
Snowdonia has a much more "rugged" feel than the Lakes does it not. Good call on Bristly Ridge, wife and I did the same last time we were up there, that exposed top bit isn't somewhere to be in high winds. Llech Ddu Spur next? ATB Roger
Wow, Jees Dave that was hairy; the hairs were standing up on the back of my neck! But Magical views mate and glorious Sunsets! How you managed to take along with you I don’t know & take the Drone along and get some footage was the icing on the cake! Take care mate and look forward to the next one! ⛺️🏔🦉👣👍😎
Good decision, takes more guts to turn away! Bristly ridge will still be there next time you go and hopefully it will let you ascend! if it's 35 down there, it'll be more up top. Planning a trip there this month as prep for the CMD arête up the Ben with some friends I got into Scrambling last year thanks to Crib Goch. Handy vid to note the navigational points for most of the horseshoe route, thanks and happy scrambling :)
Following on from Trobkal saturday ;) you're bringing me back some summer memories from Trfan when unfortunately the weather rolled in to stop me me solo summiting Dave :( however I did Cnicht wild camp. You must go there its the Welsh Matterhorn ! Beautiful solitude cause nobody goes there Merk my words :) M ☘️
I climbed up the Glyders 10 days ago and climbed down Y Gribin. It was inspiring to see the drone footage and see what I had climbed down! Glad you enjoyed your trip
Quite a trip Dave. Well done getting the drone up in breezy conditions. Funnily enough my son and I got lost up there about ten years ago and had to back off and go straight down, unfortunately over rough rocks all the way. My knees complained for a few days afterwards. Mind you we did manage Snowdon the next day. Btw my son was 30 then and was fitter than I was. North Wales is closer for me living in the Midlands.
been waiting for this one to come out, was chatting with scott about it about 3 weeks ago on facebook, you had wicked weather heading up tryfan, shame its went downhill when you were up on the glyders, the views from up their are amazing on a clear day, when you said you think you have an idea but kept a lid on it towards the end, i think i know that secret from where you were when you said it, im very familiar with round their and where you were stood when you said it lol, oh that was some incredible drone footage, shows the scale of the surroundings, epic footage, your best yet imo 💪💪👌👌👍👍
Great Job Dave. Yes, doing all that with Wild Camp gear is not the same! Was going to suggest a helmet but then realized both my last 2 I didn't put it on 🤣☺️. . ... . Went that way down on my Idwal vid. It's a great scramble. I'm out Friday night poss GEnd area....we shall see ! Keep it up mate
@@TheSoloSummiteer cheers Dave. Had a plan...but the weather wasn't quite as forecast. Should have been on eve with clear summits and very wet morning. It was all very wet. But we tested out tents up near Sprinkling. No idea if theres a film yet 😝
@@TheSoloSummiteer Ha ha......I am normally. But we thought let's do it! Just for the exposure to the bad conditions while not being too cold. It was wet 🤣
Some good decisions were made on this trip, Dave. Many others would have taken the ridge despite the conditions, particularly those who film it. Pleased you didn't succumb to the promise of extra views over the safety of you and the gang. Hope you're well.
Thanks Dave. Y Gribin looked as daunting as Bristly Ridge! I’m hoping to get the bus over there on Wednesday to do two nights, but I’m going to take the ‘easy route’! Didn’t see any sign of fresh water. Did you have to carry it from the bottom?

Hi Graeme. I don’t think it’s possible to add anything to the description on someone else’s channel.
@@TheSoloSummiteer I got mixed up. I should have said how to put a link in your own description with a link to someone else's channel? 🤣

ما هي طبيعة الصخور
في هذه المنطقة ؟
هل هي من الجرانيت؟
أم من الرخام ؟
They are volcanic rocks 👍
From 5min 30 secs of you video, how much further would you say the ridge was as I actually got to that point but bad weather forced me back.
Maybe 10mins depending on your pace. Loads of different routes up.
