    This was EXTREMELY useful, I wanted to use different sample packs that I saw online-- But of course their DAW's were different and were in no way similar to cakewalk. Cheers

    Yes! was looking for this, you've earned a new sub:) btw I'm new to cakewalk and I dont know how to go about with filter and pitch automation, if you could do a tutorial on that it would be really useful:D

      I do have some tutorials on automation on the channel but I think I’m going to do a fresh one for anyone who has subscribed recently. Thanks for the sub it’s really appreciated. 😀

    The information seems great, and the vocals are clear, but the font is so small I can barely make it out viewing full screen on a 32" hd monitor. Demonstrating on a small project, with just a few tracks, and using a larger font would make this so much more accessible for some of us! Great work, though!

  • @joangriffin9746
    @joangriffin9746 2 роки тому +1

    Helpful, but if you could just demonstrate putting in the sample and playing back what you have on your screen that would have been great. Just seeing the screen setup was like wow, want to hear it, even if that is not the main purpose of the video

    I just got a new laptop and installed Cakewalk on it last night. Many years ago I used Acid Music to make music with and I have a crap ton of wav file loops from it that i want to now use in cakewalk. How do I get them in it to use? Thanks.

    • @pippinhenderson
      @pippinhenderson  3 роки тому

      Hi there, you can use the same method explained in this video. Place all your loops in a folder and you can link the folder inside cakewalk using the browser shown in this video. Hope this helps.

    Helpful video, thanks. Maybe you can help me with this. I am trying to use the billy cobham drums from sampletank and trying to add the loops but they are ".pak" files and I can not open them in cakewalk. I can not find any wav loops. Only .pak loops. Where do I go from here?

    how do i import sample pack to a step squencer

    • @pippinhenderson
      @pippinhenderson  3 роки тому

      Hi there, the step sequencer is ideally used for drum mapping a midi pattern using a grid lay out, although other forms of midi can be used. If you open the step sequencer you can drag and drop a midi file into the sequencer and it will automatically convert that midi into patterns for you to edit. Or you can hover your mouse over the midi clip on the top right hand corner of that clip and select step sequencer from the drop down list. Hope this helps. Thanks for getting in touch

    If I buy a sample pack for ableton live 9.7 will it work with cakewalk ?

    Microsoft roled out a new force update and I had been having audio issue ever since. Whichi is from yesterday.
    All the audio apart from audio cakewalk completely stops. I made sure that the exclusivity setting is off for the sound device and the ASIO is selected in cakewalk, but still no audio whenever cake walk is on and it all comes back when I turn off cakewalk.
    Has anybody else had this problem? If so, have you found a way to fix this and how?
    Thank you. Any help will be much appreciated.

      Wow Thank you.
      Yes I fixed it.
      The default sample rate of the windows was different from that of Cakewalk. I matched them and both audios work now even when Cakewalk is on.
      Forgot to let you know. Thank you.

    Hi there! HAve you ever tried to drag & drop Samples from the Bandlab Assistant into Cakewalk?

    • @pippinhenderson
      @pippinhenderson  3 роки тому

      Hi there, I have to be honest I haven’t no, does it work doing it that way. I have to say I haven’t really delved too much into the assistant so I don’t really know how good it is. Thanks

    I have a question. I am a cake walk user and I want to make a beat in the piano roll instead of the sequencer. The samples are your usual kick, 808, high hat etc... but I want to edit them separately in the piano roll. I have sitala as my sampler but I don’t know how to put the sounds into the piano roll and make a beat from there, do you know how??

      Re-watched this video back to see if I’d made a mistake and I can see why you think that, but I was saying that adding lots of samples into a project takes up memory however in the same breath I did say to offload those samples onto a hard drive so I can see why you think I thought it was same lol Just my brain not finishing a thought before starting a new one lol thanks for the comment though and watching 👍
