I have a love hate relationship with this channel. He's SO good at commercials for products that I always feel like I want to buy something I'm not going to use
I have a Lexicon MPX R1 footswitch unit, which is probably the predecessor coming closest to the Airstep unit, combining MIDI control, an expression pedal, tap-tempo switch, relay-controlled analog loops, display, and a bunch of other features, in one LARGE externally-powered floorboard. Tremendously comprehensive and flexible unit....for 20 years ago. The Airstep has clearly leapfrogged it, in terms of flexibility, rechargeable battery and blue-tooth capability. Being smaller is also quite handy.
This is a brilliant video Colin. You’re always so informative about what you’re talking about but with this one you really went above and beyond for the beginner guitarist too. It’s a brilliant piece of kit but your explanation is what makes it.

can you one switch to loop parts of your UA-cam video?....if that is the case I will not need my viadami!
They need to add an additional option to have a connection hub kind of device that's designed to sit in your amp rack or by your PC/Interface rig. It seems a bit silly to have to use the full featured footswitch to do this when I have no intention of actually using it as a footswitch and need an additional lite wireless pedal to do that.

I want something I can control from my phone, and plug into a Bluetooth speaker AND amp. Would this be a good choice? I don’t need variable pedals, but I’d like at least 3 foot switches.

Im just wondering if you can help me out? Seeing that the airstep and 2 extra TRS footswitch jack that can be physically connected to the amp. I have a ENGL Fireball which need 2 set of Z4 footswitch to control its channel and volume boost and another for its FX loop and mid boost. Im wondering if the airstep would be able to control the amp switches? The z4 footswitch is a tank and having two of them is a bit problematic with space😅

Just discovered this. Great video. How easy would it be to set up the Airstep lite for use with my Boss Waza Air which is all I use my guitar with compared to buying the dedicated Airstep BW edition? The Lite version would have the advantage of being able to control UA-cam videos and much more obviously
I have no idea what I am doing wrong. All I wanted was the for the Airstep to let me pick between presets in Guitar Rig 7 on the fly for playing live (at home) but it doesn't work. Can't 'learn midi' or even control abelton. Using a PC and the Airstep shows up in MidiBerry.
i want something to stop n start the keystep pro sequencer. or stop and start on the Roland TR8s you think it will do that?

i think the lite version is the most compelling. i could use that to control guitar pro on the big screen for learning, or of course amp sims like neuraldsp's. I think the lite one should still have the EXP input though.
so you have to pre set the saves first that you like, then by pressing each button you get those saved presets

That’s wild , I’ve never tried plugins , I’ve got a kemper stage I’m tired of it’s pain to me plus you need the computer anyway for rig manager I’m seriously looking at getting rid of the kemper it’s to much .

I’ve got massive bug at moment my HT60 has fx loop from back amp itself but what’s even more annoying is foot switch comes with it doesn’t even have FX switch on it.

Would I be able to set this up to work with my EVH 5150 100w head? It uses a cable that I think is special I don't know. My pedal switcher broke and now I can't use the effects pedal as the pedal is the only way to turn it on and off.
On a Vox ac30c2- Can I use this as an ABY and for turning off the reverb and trem at the same time? This would solve a lot of issues but I’d also like to see on board volume control with tiny rear knobs

I could use it with my Pod Go since I can add two more switches via 1/4” for two additional pedals and Bluetooth turn music pages on my iPad Pro but I’m not sure what to use the fifth button for. I will have to look at the midi function for the Pod Go and see if there is anything of interest.

I use two heads for stereo. Does anyone know if this pedal is capable of switching the channels of both heads simultaneously with one switch? Both are two switch pedals, a Marshall and a Bugera.....thanks in advance.
