I do this with board games and puzzles. I've used zip lock bags and different sized pencil/storage bags. I then store the bags in the a nicest board game box (wood or tin ones that are sturdy), and a bin for my daughter's puzzles. Takes up so much less space.
Due to my husbands job we move every 4 to 5 years so we have sold and bought a few houses over the years. The one thing I do for the new home owners is hand over my binder that has all the warranty’s and all instruction booklets for every appliance or anything that applies to the house. Every relator that we have dealt with have said what a great idea and are very appreciative.
Organizing the garage and all the nails, screws, tools, and random replacement parts for gadgets and stuff would be an AWESOME VIDEO!! It could also be extraordinarily hilarious if your husband was involved!!! :)
I use those clear pouches for my toiletries and makeup products when i travel as its flat in a luggage its a great space saver (fits well between both sides when closing the luggage and its waterproof if something leaks). Many nice make up toiletry bags are cube shaped and take a lot of space. These pouches are also great to pack snacks or a travel activities for the kids when you fly (one pouch per kid).
My sister gave me a beautiful hat box. I display it, but I never put anything in it...Til now! I put all the instructions, warranties, etc in it. Love it!

I'm blown away. I have a whole file folder of cards that I now realize (no joke) that I can just photograph. I can then even name them and organize them for the never I tended to look at them. And I'm definitely getting those bags. I like how you put bags inside of bags, for the ultimate organization.
Love the board game storage! We are also big board game enthusiasts and have them all still in boxes taking up a whole bookshelf so I'm excited to try that! About the manuals, I had a huge stack of those that I was saving and it was taking up so much room so a couple months ago I spent 2 hours finding them all online and it felt so good to finally get rid of all those manuals!

I have a huge box with photos. The photos go back to like 1860 and show my family history from the maternal part of the family. I got the box from my Mum, shortly before she passed away. And I will give it to my daughter one day and everybody puts their photos in it 😍
Thanks! Great ideas! I keep my manuals and warranties in a notebook using page protectors. I keep the notebooks divided by type of item, kitchen, tools, hardware, etc. The thing is, sometimes there are little pieces that come with the item that i do not use--extra screws, dividers, etc. They literally ALWAYS fit into the page protector with the warranty and instructions. Okay, so now I have four notebooks, but I do go through them about once a year. And when I donate something, I pull out the info for that item and send it along with the item. This method takes up very little space and works a treat!
I understand the idea about the board games but.. I really love the boxes. Sometimes I just go and look at them and feel love 😂 so.. I think that’s the only thing I can’t do 😂
My father was a board-game-holic. He had over 300 board games and that doesn't include the dozens of card games he knew how to play with the STACK of card decks. I inherited a lot of those games when he died and my hubby is always mad when i want more cause we have no space already! 🤣 I don't like the idea of bags cause I like something a bit more solid, something that'll protect them if they fall over or something... I definitely could downsize them to smaller boxes though and get room for so many more! Thank you!

When my kids were little ,I saved all their pictures and paintings.When it was someone’s birthday I would use their paintings to wrap the present . This was only done for family members. Nan and pop loved it..

Ask for them now,don't hold off and go through and declutter these and keep only the best. I did this with my things a few years ago and not looked back. X

I've been thinking about and wanting to find reusable plastic bags/pouches so I'm so glad you showed these. That's just what I wanted! Ordered em already! LOL. And thanks for showing how to digitally save things. Even when I watch "minimalist" people they never mention this idea. Its perfect for bulky, fragile, hard to store keepsakes. Take a pic of it and then you can get rid of the actual physical item.
For warranty and appliance manuals… I keep two binders. One for things that are attached to the house… The roof warranty, The dishwasher or stove instructions. This binder stays with the home. So, when I have sold homes in the past I leave the binder on the counter for the new owners. The other binder is for things that are use and refer to… My vacuum cleaner and the warranty on my leather couch, etc. I love this video… So many new organization ideas! 💕💕
Almost all manuals have many extra pages of the other languages, if you plan to keep them, I remove the pages that are in the other languages. It really makes them a lot smaller!

My parents literally just did the same thing to me because their moving to and we just moved in and got settled!! and i had all this stuff from when i was a baby/teen/young child. Thankfully i was able to toss alot of it but still so much left over to keep 😩 also gave some sentimental stuff back to my mom lol.
I did that with my board games last week. Save so much space! I found it easier to write out a list of all the games I have and the colour bag they are in so it’s easier to remember what games you have and easier to locate the actual bag it’s in. Suck the list on the inside of the cupboard door. X
Board game idea helps a lot it can be implemented for board puzzles and legos too, keep the design manual along with legos in a zipbag label it and done. I organized my kids all legos same way. Nice video Brittany. ❤️❤️👌🏼👌🏼

OK you just upgraded my LIFE! I cleared a WHOLE kitchen drawer of manuals and they're in a compact folder with all the other paperwork now. I AM IN SHOCK.
I personally don’t trust the cloud with my sentimentals. The “cloud” exists just for a few years. Will it still be there in 50 years?! Am I willing to risk loosing my life’s memories, because a company got bankrupt?! Nope :). I personally have several copies of my most fav. photos - I keep them in the cloud and I also have copies on my hard drive, and I also print the best ones in a photo album (even print several albums and give them away to parents, friends, etc. :) )

For the board games: cut out the top of the box of the game and put it in the bag. That way you can easily see which game is which
