    💫 don’t put it down… put it away 💃🏼 💫
Literally is a core memory for me the last year.
Sometimes I do, sometimes I don’t.. but I think about it always!!!

‘By putting it down…’ we are 100% deciding in that moment, to postpone what inevitably will need to be done later.. LOL … a “tardy task” If you will.
So simple, so effective.. yet so hard 😂💓💃🏼

I have really been using the "don't put it down put it away" method you mentioned awhile back and it does work. 👍 Also love the throw blanket into a pillow hack. Very neat. And this year my goal is to not just get organized but stay organized. ☺️ Have a great day everyone!

@Brittany Vasseur One rule I use is.. Never leave a room empty handed. If you are going from the living room to the kitchen and you see a cup or used a cup. You take it with you. If there is then something in the kitchen you know belongs in the bathroom and you're heading that way. Take it with you. This is the base for my "sprint cleans". I will start in one room and when I have a bunch of things I take them and put them away. The last room I end up in, I then start to clean/pickup the bathroom. Etc. You are truly fun to watch. But so much more. Thank you for your time that you put in to share these tips with us. I hope you know how appreciated you are.

We put our house on the market a couple of months ago and I did a MAJOR declutter job and donated almost a fourth of my stuff. It was such a relief and I felt like I could breathe again and since then, I’ve been decluttering and I still find things to donate. It’s amazing how much stuff you accumulate and hold onto “just in case I might need it later”. I love the hold box idea and I’m definitely going to implement that in my organizing/decluttering from now on. Thanks for another great video Brittany. Happy New Year!

Love the blanket/pillow hack.😍 I like the reverse cluttering idea….smart.☺️ Yes, I tell my husband that all the time….DON’T PUT IT DOWN, PUT IT AWAY! I’m so glad to hear someone else saying the same. I will say I struggle with my husband with these principles. So frustrating. I say the same about cabinets, drawers and lights. You open or turn on….close or turn off as soon as you finish. That “later” mentality causes so much grief. Thank you for your great organizational videos. We are “soul sisters “. It made me smile when you spoke of the “don’t put it down, put it away”. About 35 years ago or so when I worked in bookkeeping at a bank, my boss told me approximately the same thing during my initial training. About a week ago, that dear old boss came to my mind and I fondly remembered her telling me that….only touch items once to save time and complete jobs quicker. Since hubby and I are in our golden years, I’m trying desperately to downsize and declutter our home so our kids won’t have to deal with so much later on. I SO appreciate your (and many like you) sharing your wonderful tips and tricks that are helping me meet my goals. Thanks for your videos and encouragement!

Tip when it comes to decluttering make up. Clean each make up product. When you put every back clean it all feels new again. I find I tend to be like “i need a new foundation” then I clean it up maybe peel off the yucky label and it feels new again and I can use it aittlw longer. Same goes for powders and such.

That's a great tip! I do it too.

I do that too, :) if I cleaned the makeup drawers, it feels icky to put my makeup stained products back in

I heard this acronym a long time ago to help keep organized which is similar to what you were saying…OHIO, or Only Handle It Once. Whatever you put in your hand like mail or papers or something that needs to be put away, only handle it once & you’ll save yourself an extra step later on. 😄
