I do think a lot of people are easily led by car interior designs. I dont really care what the interior is like, so long as the experience of driving the car as a whole is satisfying. Too much obsession with quality of materials, soft touch, the latest so called must have gadgets, most of them pointless (lane departure warning, adaptive this that or the other, sensors for god knows what else), people rely on that kind of crap too much. In 2018 there are no bad cars, in the way there were in the 1970s. Only difference is price. They will all get you from A to B in different levels of comfort but the point im making is, expectations with cars are far too high these days, and the manufacturers know that given a choice between two brands, customers will pick one over the other simply because one has a slightly bigger touch screen etc. Its all bullshit, and the fools will pay for it. Haha. As for these two cars, in the UK we only have the Toyota and its an awesome, tough, comfortable long lasting car.

The conclusion has nothing to do with the review if he’s concluding based on his personal preference of the Toyota brand name
Haval h9
Due to spare parts I'll take the Prado but 5 years from now Haval
Love my H9 wouldn't say it looks like a prado though haha. Drives like one though
Haval will.shake the off road car industry.
I’m not sure what car he was driving in this but the Haval I found to be very sluggish with the turbo petrol. The Prado even though has less power I find the torquey diesel a lot better to drive.
Please note I own none of these cars, but have driven both and Prado is where my money would go
I had Chinese car before, the only thing that I could fault and mostly similar with all Chinese cars is the underpowered engine beside that everything else was perfect.People need to change their attitudes towards Chinese stuff, I hear many complain without even owing one, if you can afford 90k, be my guest , I call it Toyotasim.
i like haval h9
Impressive Haval
Djordjeblrs except for the 3rd row
I m more worry about the dpf on the diesel prado, and yet that great wall engine still take times to prove. Pound to pound h9 wins.
but dont forget how much haval gonna cost after 5 years ? and what the prado gonna be worth especially diesel after 5 -7 yers
I hate that Iʻm reading all these comments in his accent. Pardon me my Aussie friends
Japanese Toyota brand quality is beyond description
BS, i owned Camry, its cheap, suspension sucks. dose not run straight even when new, went back to dealership for alignment and still not quite straight, sold it after
@@steveyao3102 sorry to hear. It might be exceptional case
Tell me how mach Havel gives to you ?Toyata will give you double
landcrusier pricing are getting out of control !!! At this point we really need some competition at this segment
You shouldnt have problems sourcing spare parts for Haval. Just use Prado's since its a copy.
H9 could have been priced a bit aggressively 🥢🥢🥢
Wow some parts are similar to Subaru Forester 2009 and Tribeca
The Havel is a cheap reversed-engineered Prado. There has been report in China that the Havel suffer reliability issue in a long run. It may be great brand new, but after few years, things falling apart.
Wow, have been having a good laugh at the heated debate and name calling below😁! Let’s see if I can stir some up.....”I had just finished towing a broken down Niss-can Patrol out of the bush with my H9....but I was almost very killed when I drove my expensive Toyboata Prado to the dealer to trade it in...when the accelerator stuck causing me to rear end another H9, and the Tokhata airbag then shot shrapnel up my nose!! The Prado was written off, but the H9 only had a scratched bumper”!
@@fatisdead7150 But it still got to a butthurt little troll like you.
3:23 The haval is a nicer place to sit, you just feel a little more special. Umm No, you feel deep down like a tightass that can't afford a brand named car.
gestapo9 Go plow the fields peasant.
lmao, people like you are the reason for our downfall as a civilisation
thesuperproify and people like you are the reason condoms were invented.
gestapo9 so jealous you can't afford one and trying to bitch around. If it's not about the brand then the Prado still has good reputation as one the best SUVs. I know chinese cars are getting better but it's not even there yet.
Btw, shitty chinese tourists makes me hate whole-made chinese stuff...
Apis Ace
Your last sentence killed your credibility. It basically shows that all you said is driven from hate and pre-judgement.
I love my Haval, and it is best-in-class for the price range.
Yeah, try getting a spare park for any Chinese brand in timbucktoo. some chinese brands use generic parts - VM diesels, Borg trans etc etc
And even 2nd batch versions of H9, uses ZF 8HP transmission which is same as BMW & VW Groups
But lets be honest, if its a car for on road use only and for a price, specially for mrs ill pick the haval.
Peace of mind. Exactly!
What? 44k for Chinese car?
May I add the fact that the Prado is 9yrs old.
Quiet surprised at how Chinese products are winning the hearts of people. Comment section use to be full of hate comment for Chinese cars, it's changed lately
You know what Chinese Company they don’t care the Aussie market whole country = shanghai populations
you never be to China
I may change my Fourby, but never my brand.
Haval H9 is good than Prado
Both should be towing a caravan to get the best results
"Holy shit handle" I didn't expect that! :D
Accidentally forgot to turn my rear diff lock back on after stopping the engine and I was really impressed with the handling of our Haval 9 in loose sand on the beach with near worn out highway tyres in 2 wheel drive high range mode.
I am wonder how can you compare!!!!!! Of course Prado is the Top of the rang for ever..
