I burst into tears when I saw the picture of PFC Edward Anguiano, Los Fresnos TX. He was a mechanic, told his grandfather not to worry, he went MIA while everyone was actively "Saving Private Lynch." He and a buddy had volunteered to stay behind to fix a broken truck in this ill fated Army unit that got lost in An Nasiriyah. Lynch credits him and his partner for jumping into the bank of the Humvee on top of her while her best friend, Pvt Lori Piestewa, the first Native American to die in service to the United States, tried to drive them out but ended up hitting a semi crossing the street. We in the Rio Grande Valley prayed with Anguiano's family but thirteen days later his body was discovered, shot once in the head. God bless these incredible heroes who went above and beyond and paid the ultimate price. 🙏🇺🇸

God bless them all. I remember my cousin John Hill who served with USN in South Pacific in WWII, including Iwo. When he mustered out in 1946 he returned to his home in Oklahoma to a joyous reunion. A couple of weeks later he was killed in an automobile accident. Our family was never able to fully recover from that, but they are all together now and share peace for eternity. Still brings a tear. Thanks for sharing your family heroes . . .

@@goatpappy49 I didn’t know she still did touring either. I found out at the last minute and got lucky and snagged 2 tickets. She’s 66 years old and she sounded like she did 30 years ago. I never thought I’d hear her live. What a phenomenal show. She sings and tells stories too. She’s touring all over the world and if you get the chance, go see her. Stay safe my friend.

I just saw Loreena perform tonight, 10.17, 2023, in Rochester NY and she closed with this tribute song. Beautiful. She has the voice of an angel.
