That is a beautiful piece of walnut. Amazing work! It really turned out nice. How about a Nintendo DS or DS lite in wood? I would probably lose the hinges, though, and make it one solid piece, like a 2DS. I would definitely want the electronics to have the GBA slot, though.
@@KevBotWorkshop, my four kids all have DS lites that we bought them years ago. The three girls haven't used theirs a lot, but the boy's has been used a lot. I had to replace the hinges and a screen. I discovered that working on small electronics is not my thing. I find it very interesting, but I'm 6'2" and big. My big o' sausage fingers make it difficult to work on those little things. If you're patient, you can find a good deal on a used one on eBay. I'd look for a pink one. Nobody wants pink, so they can be bought cheaper, and girls don't use their video games as much, so they should be in better condition. The early DS and DS lites have 2 slots. One for DS games, and one for Game Boy Advanced. Some of the newer versions deleted the GBA slot. BTW, my son, who is a video game junkie, says that the 3D on the 3DS is terrible, and not worth the extra cash.
@@dannyhale7645 I played 3ds while on a ship with a bunch of navy guys. bout 95% of us turned 3d off. if your not lookin at it just right it looked horrid.

GBA is probably the next one, but alot of people have asked for an SP so maybe down the line

It would be amazing if there were plans/schematics on how to make this ourselves, with like measurements and dimensions, step by steps, etc.
The insides are so imprecise I just basically built it to fit, not much of accurate dimensions.
