Congratulations on the new Spyder! Love the color!! My wife and I purchased our ‘18 RT Limited a little over a year ago. I came from being on 2 wheels the past 12 years. Guess I will go ahead and give you a warning though: once you get really familiar with the Spyder you may find yourselves making excuses to go on rydes! Do give yourselves time to get used to the handling. It took me a few hundred miles, then everything just clicked. We thoroughly enjoy ours, it’s the perfect machine for us. Enjoy!

Glad to see two new happy faces on a Spyder. Hello and welcome from Arkansas. My wife and I ride together and bought our 2012 RT limited used in Tulsa for our 30th wedding anniversary. Three and a half years later we still are in love with our ShaLar. Word of caution, watch the antenna when getting on. On our way to Key West right after we got ours, the wife kicked it plumb off. This is so far the Best video regarding the Can Am Spyder I've seen. I'm taking my class next month and I'm super excited that you shared your experience. It was nice, informative and to the point! You inspired me so much I watched 4 of your other videos and all I can say is way to go! I'll be out there soon. Keep posting. #newfan
Crystaalis C We’re so happy that you enjoyed the video, thanks for checking us out! Have fun with the class and we look forward to seeing you out on the road 😎
Grats! Nice looking ride! I agree the course is a must do. I have taken it a few times, and my goal is to take it each year as a refresher. Plus, I meet so many awesome folks in the class!
Congratulations on your RT-Spyder. I just retired when covid 19 hit , and my goal is to buy an RT- Spyder and travel. Thanks for info and your experience on your selection and training of your can am Spyder.
Awesome video. We enjoy riding our Spyder RT also here Florida. We have a red and Black RT, we also have red and Black matching riding gear. FUN FUN FUN.
Thank you for your video, it is very informative. We just purchased a 2020 RT limited, we are so excited . We have a Honda 1800 Goldwing that we have visited the lower half of the U.S . Our next journey will be with the Cam-am RT for the upper Half of the U.S , after we complete the class first . My wife has been patiently waiting to achieve this goal. Thanks . Enjoy Ride Safe , Blessings
Great video, I purchased a 2020 Can-Am Spyder RT Limited in September and put a little over 600 miles on it before the cold weather hit here in northern Pa. but as Bill S. stated it took me a few hundred miles to get used to the 3 wheels after riding a 2 wheeler. I am counting the days to get it back out and on the road again. Enjoy your new ride.
Hey guys my wife and I ride my f3 limited,I noticed when riding two up in a turn 40 mph it would lean so I purchased the Baja Ron swaybar and wow! the difference is day and night check it out .
Great video! I've been triking for a couple of years and found that I could stay in the wind after years on two wheels. The transition was a learning curve but not a steep one. It took me a while to stop reaching for the front brake lever. Y'all ride safely and have lots of fun. That's what it's all about.
I have drove two wheels since 1965, and time and age to go to three wheels. I took the 3BRC July 20-21, 2020. I am planning on a 2020 RT Limited chrome model, in Red! Good video!
Glad you bought the Spyder RT limited nice bike. My wife has one now I’m getting one in two weeks got rid of the Harley having much more fun on the spyder.
Hello folks and thank you for an excellent, informative presentation. Having ridden two wheels for many years, we are at the stage where a little more comfort and stability are high on our list of priorities, so are planning on getting a Spyder. Yourexcellent video and comments were, therefore, extremely useful - thank you for posting!
childofthe60s100 We’re happy to hear that you enjoyed the video, we’ll have many more coming! It’s always great to welcome new folks to the Spyder family 😎 Let us know if you have questions!
Love the video!!! Just looked at an RT Limited today and we have to have it!!!!! Thank you so much for sharing! Loved your video. Very informative and helpful!
Just found your video, nice job congrats on your spyder.Ive been on 2 wheels my whole life but have a shoulder issue so the wife and I will be buying ours Feb of 21.
Thanks for sharing, I've been researching for the last month or so, and it was nice to see your experience from beginning to end in the purchase. I was leaning more towards to the Ryker, mostly because I don't think my wife will ride so much (but my son will!) Only thing holding me up is figuring out how I'll store it in the off months. I have a garage, but no driveway, and we have SUVs that neither of us would want to put on the street. If I can figure that one out, I'll be riding soon...
Keith Wills Glad you enjoyed the video Keith! We decided to park our car in the driveway to Jeep our blue baby in the garage, so yes I definitely understand the dilemma. The Rykers are definitely nice but we love the storage compartments on the Spyder RT, I’ve been able to store all the groceries for a normal Walmart trip in the bike so you can’t beat that. Hope to see you on the road soon 😎
@@WanderOpenRoads makes perfect sense, although I don't think i'm triking it to Walmart, LOL! But I do get your point and will consider that. You all sound really happy with the purchase, and I was more happy to see it was a joint venture with both of you riding and enthusiastic! So cool, like a great "spend some quality time together" tool! Thanks much.
I am going back and forth between a Ryker Rally and Spyder F3. If I can swing the money, I might lean toward the F3, but still on the fence. I am looking to buy around Mar 2021 so hopefully I will have enough down payment to make it happen. Great video, thanks!
Thinking one of these might be perfect for me and the Mrs. we rode 2 wheels for years, however I had a major stroke a few years back that has robbed me of my balance. 2 wheels would not be ideal anymore, so the Can Am fills the bill. However the cost is very high in my mind! I sold high end luxury cars for almost 20 years and understand deprecation too well. Cars and bikes almost never go up in value. A clean used one would be the best by $ wise. Not in a hurry so my research continues.
Dj Project That sounds like a great plan, we had an older gentleman in our 3 wheel class that rode 2 wheels all his life and was making the transition. Hopefully you can find a good used model, we looked used first but there wasn’t availability for the model we wanted unfortunately. Best of luck to you and if we can answer any questions, let us know!
I purchased my 2019 F3T totally loaded with the upper bin, built-in backrest, and two extra speakers, giving me a total of six speakers, luggage bins on both sides. It looks just like an RT only the engine isn't covered and I don't have floor boards. I will fix the floorboard situation in the future and the only gripe that we have is my wife says she catches a lot of heat off the engine or maybe it's coming from the catalytic converter now that I think about it. I'm hoping the floorboards front and back for the passenger might deflect the heat a little bit. I bought it from Pitbull Powersports in Missouri, they have three stores, Springfield, Joplin, and Bolivar. They're one of the biggest sellers of Can-Am Spyders in the nation. Mine was a demo, even though it only had three miles on it. I purchased it out the door for $19,500. I really don't think that's a bad price for what I got. I've only had it three months and I've already put 3,000 miles on it. I started riding motorcycles when I was 12 years old growing up in Colorado. I quit riding at 56 and I'm now 58 with the Can-Am Spyder. I only quit riding two wheels because my wife no longer felt comfortable riding on the back. She really enjoys riding on the back of the Can-Am with the exception of the heat but she says it will be nice in the winter time.
@@paulthorade6977 That’s so awesome that you’re riding again. It sounds like you got a great deal and have added some great accessories. I’m sure you and your wife will have some awesome adventures coming up!
Wonderful Video. I will be following you guys. You are so informative. I live in Cumming Georgia, and am an retired Air Force Vet. I have admired motorcycles from afar but do not like the 2 wheel models. My question to you both is how can I get my wife to feel comfortable with me purchasing a Can-Am? I know she would love it if I could just get her on one. I plan on getting the Spyder RT Limited and I want a 2 seater so we can travel like you two do. We travel a lot and having a Spyder would add so much to our trips. I will be a new motorcycle rider and am going to follow you lead in getting my license first and going from there. I pray I can eventually get my wife to ride with me and ride the bike herself or get her own. I would appreciate any advice you would have for me to get my wife onboard and any other advice in buying my first time Spyder that you learned when you brought yours. Again, wonderful job on the video and looking forward to seeing more in the future. GOD BLESS and safe and enjoyable riding. Hope to meet you on the open road one day.
Thanks so much for your kind words. Since you have to get your motorcycle endorsement added to your drivers license anyway, I’d suggest both going together to take the class just like we did. You can learn how to ride in a safe environment and you don’t have to already have a motorcycle. After the class, if it’s not for her, you’ve only spent a couple of hundred bucks. But once she gets on one, I bet she’ll like it too. I hope everything works out!
@@WanderOpenRoads You are most welcome. Great advice, I will do just that. Thanks for the quick reply. Lord willing, I plan on purchasing mine by the end of the year, or the first part of next year. Just doing all my research and learning all that I can about the Spyder and decide on which model based on my wife's reaction and decision. The color of yours is really nice. Blue happens to be my favorite color as well. Thanks again for helping a new future rider with starting my purchase journey. I will keep you abreast on how it goes. Be blessed, safe, and great riding. PEACE.

👍🏻 Looks like you had a blast! I have been a rider for all my life. My 1st bike was a old Cushman scooter!!! It was bigger than I was, LOL! My last bike (man I miss that bike) was a 1997 Valkyrie STD. The wife and I would ride with her cousin and her Husband. He has a Ultra Classic Harley. I had a stroke a few years back that I really survived quite well, however my balance never returned 100%. Then I saw the Spyders, hummmm. That could be our answer to getting the wind back in our hair! Thinking about buying a Spyder this next summer. I drive for a living and it’s no problem. Drive about 250 to 300 miles everyday. Earn lots of safe driving miles each year I’m on the job. I’m like a UPS/Fed-X driver. However my company isn’t quite that big. We are not tiny by any means though. We have offices in 7 Midwest states with over 1800 drivers. Everything from 1 ton Chevy vans up to 18 wheelers!
I’m excited to hear that you’re considering getting a Spyder! We’re absolutely loving ours and being a part of the biker community. It’s great finding new routes and meeting other riders 😎 Go for it and let us know when you get your bike!
Thanks for sharing, me and the wife both enjoyed your video. Now I’m thinking about either trading in my Ryker Rally or passing it on to my son and get the RT limited like what you have for me and wifey . Decisions decisions anyway Thanks again from New York, congratulations and enjoy! 👊🏾
That’s ironic. I just bought a new Canyon Star front engine diesel toy hauler and it appears that the Spyder RT will fit ( need to do some more precise measurements) IF it works out “ fingers, toes all crossed I’ll be able to sqqquueeezzee it in there so I can do a TOAD plus the spyder.
Hey that’s awesome, let me know if that works out! You might have to raise the ramp slightly when you drive the Spyder into the back, the front is very low to the ground so be careful.
@@WanderOpenRoads I have ramp extensions from my race car trailer. My Vette was only about 3.5”-ish off the pavement. I’ll have to rig up some sort of quick release for the ramps to be able to shut the ramp door but fabrication was my business ( have the will/tools it can happen 😂)
@@wrzl1675 Sounds like a plan, I’d love to see what you come up with. If we decided to get a new rig, it would definitely be a toy hauler for the Spyder 😎
Make sure you check on maintenance that's got to be done. Tires don't last long on mileage. Front tires got to be special rotated taking off each one put on the other one too much expense.
I took the same course, same place you did. Even though I had ridden 2 wheels for a long time. I learned alot more than just the Spyder Operation.. have you had any other experience with Speed Zone? service. warranty .? Looking for a place to shop and Speed Zone and Mtn Motor Lithia Springs are about the same distance from me. But I've heard several folks growl about Mtn Motor. cheers
So, did I understand you correctly? If traveling in your RV you would tow the Can Am? Also, can you take the class at any dealership? Thanks for posting.
Thanks for watching David! Yes we tow our Can Am with our RV on a trailer. We have a UA-cam video that shows our trailer and how we tow. As for the class, we want to the Can Am website and they had a list of dealers and locations where we could take the 3 wheel driving class for our license. Hope this helps!
Wander Open Roads I am actually thinking about looking into buying one myself. I do like the model you purchased for the storage and the fact that you can take a rider with you,, any advice?
Lenny Smith My wife and I decided that we wanted to definitely ride together and not have separate bikes. This model is comfortable for both of us and I’ve also added the back rest which helps the driver on long rides. The storage is fabulous, we can buy $80-100 of food at Walmart and fit it in the storage compartments. Plus it’s great for day trips, bringing along lunch, a backpack for hiking, etc. We’ve done a lot of riding this summer as you’ll see from some of our upcoming videos and we have no regrets at all. Hope this helps and let me know if you have any more questions!
1st of all you will never fit in with the harley crowd. That being said think of why you want a spyder. Because u want to feel the ride. The spyder offers that along with alot better safety net. Im 42 bought a spyder this year put over 6thousand miles on it. Get alot of curious questions mostly from other riders. I bought this for me. Not for other people. I enjoy it so thats all that matters to me n my girl. We love it.
Congrats and Thank you for this informative and inspiring video. I am wanting and going to get a Can -Am but I am torn between the Ryker and the Spyder.
Thanks so much! There are definitely some differences between the two models and I’ve seen many posts of Ryker owners who upgrade to a Spyder but definitely not the other way around. I’d go with the Spyder all the way
Great video. I did a similar process (bought a '20 RTL, took the 3WMC MSF course in order to waive the DMV driving test) and really enjoying the Spyder. In my opinion, one other "after market" item to consider is the Handlebar Riser sold by Lamonster Garage. I'm 6'2", 220 lbs and I think it makes a more relaxed ride having that little bit extra height and slight setback on the handlebars. Again, my opinion only. Link follows if you decide to check it out: www.lamonstergarage.com/2020-rt-handlebar-riser-lamonster/

Getrich Kidd We really love the RT Limited with the comfort and storage it provides. Thanks for the like and we’ll see you on the road! 😎
Great video. Thank you!!
If we decided to get a new rig, it would definitely be a toy hauler for the Spyder 😎
nice video, something I been thinking about for me and my soon to be wife to get
D Walker It’s definitely a great way to share experiences and get some quality time with your better half 😎
Could you make a video showing how you tow your Spyder?
Sure! We can definitely do that, stay tuned
Make sure you check on maintenance that's got to be done. Tires don't last long on mileage. Front tires got to be special rotated taking off each one put on the other one too much expense.
Thanks for the video , safe ride.
Steven Rogers Thanks for watching!
But I've heard several folks growl about Mtn Motor. cheers
Great video.
Thanks!
You Two Make a Nice Couple! Good Video!
Thanks!
Nice!!! I want one.
Is that Lithia Springs thats where i did my course.
Yes it is the Lithia Springs location!
Thanks for the info that was very helpful, does the RT limited have a detachable trunk or is that just on the Sea to Sky?
You’re welcome and no, the trunk is not detachable
So, did I understand you correctly? If traveling in your RV you would tow the Can Am? Also, can you take the class at any dealership? Thanks for posting.
Thanks for watching David! Yes we tow our Can Am with our RV on a trailer. We have a UA-cam video that shows our trailer and how we tow. As for the class, we want to the Can Am website and they had a list of dealers and locations where we could take the 3 wheel driving class for our license. Hope this helps!
Thanks for Video
Another great video.
Thanks!
Defiantly more sporty than the clunky rear trikes. More fun than a 2 wheeler also
Hey great video's. What year Can-Am Spyder did you purchase?
Thanks Joe! We have a 2019 model
Nice video and nice bike 😁
Thanks!
Nice! 👍
Hey guy's, enjoy your video's. What year and model Spyder did you purchase?
Joe Michel Thanks Joe! Our Spyder is a 2019 RT Limited
@@WanderOpenRoads Thanks
We have a Class A motorhome and tow a Jeep...how do you tow your Spyder?
We have a Stinger motorcycle trailer that we pull with the RV
Love the bike.
Thanks! 😄
Nice! Well done video..
Lenny Smith Thank you! 😎
Wander Open Roads Great! Thank you, it definitely looks like fun..
We love it.
New video and congrats
Victoria Kathman Thanks!
Awesome bike. What year is that?
Thanks! It’s a 2019 model
New to your channel, you mentioned you RV, is it a toy hauler?
We have a Class C Motorhome and we tow our bike with a trailer. It would nice to have a toy hauler though 🤔
welcome to the family of ryders
Terry Harrison Thank you! 😎
I’d go with the Spyder all the way
Congrats
Do you two the Spyder or tailer it with your RV?
Stuart Codding We have a trailer for the Spyder that we pull with our RV
Welcome greatt video
Tito Caraballo Thanks!
Barry Walsh Thanks for the tip!
