Gerber going in the right direction. I love that we're discussing multi-tools and we're not calling old designs new and not trying to sell me a bracelet or watch. Looking at you Leatherman!
I love this Gerber salesman. "We actually went back and thought about it before we built it. We thought about the packaging it and gave a fuck about where we put the tools."
I had a Gerber suspension 6 years ago and it fell apart after 3 months of use. Went with a Leatherman sidekick instead but ended up losing it sometime back. Now I EDC a Leatherman wingman but I think I will give the NXT a try.
I like the improvements. I’d like to see you improve the dime. The scissors were terrible and it couldn’t take any torque. Also improve the Crucial. Beef up the abuse it can take and ditch the carabeaner for scissors.
I have several dimes, the scissors are great......at first. Cut nothing outside of standard notebook paper thickness, you’ll be satisfied. Any thicker, those scissors will fold quicker than Hillary did testifying before Congress during the Benghazi debacle!
I prefer the old original Gerber style with the slide out jaws. Way more convenient than fold outs. All my buddy's at Les Scwab all carried Gerber slide outs.
I've had the suspension for 6 years throughout my service and its absolutely fantastic. the pliers are sturdy the blade makes a great dual purpose knife, and you can smack someone in the head with it for defense lol. I think its time to retire it and swap out for the NXT.
Andrew Alarcon i agree the pliers hold up better then leatherman I have owned both and abused them in the northern Canadian oil industry and my Gerber has held up best
I used a Gerber Suspension multi-tool for my enlistment in the Marine Corps infantry. It ain't pretty, it's heavy, but damn is it a beast for what you pay. The thing gives no shits, and just does what you need it to. I love my Suspension.
The Suspension NXT looks almost awesome....almost. The combo blade kills it. I don't want nor need serrations on the main blade or secondary blade. I was about ready to Google and see if I could find one until I saw the combo blade.
Mike Brown Well its a multi tool not your EDC knife. Sure i do prefer to have a PE over a CE but when its a multi tool i can live with it. Although if you were to only carry a multi tool and rely on its knife blade for your EDC tasks then yes PE is preferable.
I like how the Blade HQ host referred to having 'multi-tools' in his previous job whereas in the leatherman video a few hours prior he referred to having leathermans (not multi-tools) and being a big fan of leathermans, IE: I personally prefer leatherman over a gerber, it's just not the same.
Jden Ian leatherman are the original multitool makers they have a huge cult following, Gerber is just starting to engrave themselves in the market but with them getting the military contract that says something
Matt Juniper well, the military tends to take cost and mass production into consideration. There are many vets that ditched their issued Gerbers for Leathermans. That said, it comes down to what you want in a multitool. Everyone has their own tastes
Yeah your working on new tools when they should be working on the quality control line lmao at there factories. Thanks for the video guys love blade HQ.
China. Only the Center Drive and select variations of the MP600 get made here in the USA. Gerber will place an unusually large American Flag on the blade of their knives when it’s made here. Not the multi tools, however, seeings how they’ve inundated UA-cam and Social Media with Center Drive commercials emphasizing how it’s made here, and they do still have a contract with the Government/Armed Services for certain MP600 models, and of course those issues to the military are made here (would kinda look bad being an American Soldier guarding his post in Qatar holding a MP600 Multi tool made in China wouldn’t it?)
Chris Reuther I think they'll rebound eventually. I think they need to upgrade their budget line to snag some new customers. The sidekick needs a makeover starting with the drivers...
That byond white guy was a carpenter in his dreams, in 45 years of construction work, I've never seen a carpinter whip out his mutlitool, more for a want to be fix it guy, and go somewhere warm and lose the pink

I carry a Gerber and it's never let me down, in fact, carry it every day... Great multi-tool.
I have that tool since 6 years, still works great and is still sharp. Greatings from Germany
I carry the original suspension and a second Gerber for working on the Thames. Love them.
I love this Gerber salesman. "We actually went back and thought about it before we built it. We thought about the packaging it and gave a fuck about where we put the tools."
Sheath: low profile, high branding.
I had a Gerber suspension 6 years ago and it fell apart after 3 months of use. Went with a Leatherman sidekick instead but ended up losing it sometime back. Now I EDC a Leatherman wingman but I think I will give the NXT a try.
I would have like to see the 18 and 15 individual tools. So this video was a bit disappointing to me.
10:23 😂😂😂 Ben
Was that Ben walking behind them recording on his cell phone around the 10:30 Mark? It it was, that's stinking hilarious.

Oblivion Tactical i got a dime yesterday. I like the scissors.
I have several dimes, the scissors are great......at first. Cut nothing outside of standard notebook paper thickness, you’ll be satisfied. Any thicker, those scissors will fold quicker than Hillary did testifying before Congress during the Benghazi debacle!
Oblivion Tactical on the dime they should takeoff the pliers and replace with scissors, then replace the old scissors with a file or a serrated blade
I have a suspension and I love it. Super handy and is a total tank. Only problem is I lost the sheath.
i just ordered the suspension nxt from bladehq and i cant wait to use it
The leatherman wave has replaceable cutters now, seen it on the LM website
I was hoping he would show each tool instead of glossing over them. And for the camera to zoom in on them. Oh well. Will find out on the product page.
gadgetstalker2 I agree they should have flipped them out to show the various tools
I prefer the old original Gerber style with the slide out jaws. Way more convenient than fold outs. All my buddy's at Les Scwab all carried Gerber slide outs.

All talk no show. Wow. I didn't see the tools. What a waste of time. Zac is doing a great job.
Decade after everyone else FINALLY displaying knife steel material. Trade secret, melted down butter knives
The Suspension NXT looks almost awesome....almost. The combo blade kills it. I don't want nor need serrations on the main blade or secondary blade. I was about ready to Google and see if I could find one until I saw the combo blade.

Are you guys taking pre orders for the Gerber flatiron?
This made me #nostalgic, I decided to carry my #suspension with me to work today. Probably had my #suspension at least 10 years. #bladehq #multitool
Improve to be hammer, scisors, flash light please. And + mini pinset. And to make fire.
I don't understand the need for a pocket cleaver. I do see that it's novel, and it's kinda neat that it's unique. It ain't no cleaver.
When will the NXT be available?
Ben is the new Yeti.
nice vid :D
When/where can we find the nxt???
Hey Gerber, I love the tool overall, BUT the pocket clip for the NXT is TRASH !!! Anyone who carries this multitool on a daily basis will concur.
I still have a scar on my finger from a multi-tool closing on my finger when I was a freshman
That's why they started to make locks lol
Love it
Yeah your working on new tools when they should be working on the quality control line lmao at there factories. Thanks for the video guys love blade HQ.
Bring back the auto-pliers!!!!!!
Where are the two upgraded multitools made?
China. Only the Center Drive and select variations of the MP600 get made here in the USA. Gerber will place an unusually large American Flag on the blade of their knives when it’s made here. Mike O'Neill thanks for that- guess I’ll stay with Leatherman for now- even though they are getting really dull with designs and improvements
Chris Reuther I think they'll rebound eventually. I think they need to upgrade their budget line to snag some new customers. The sidekick needs a makeover starting with the drivers...
Why wouldn't they open the damn tools up and show us whats inside them? What a missed opportunity!
I want that clever!!
Dude this guy needs to shut up and get to the actual tools!! Like damn!!!!
show the tools! tell the cleaver steel!!!
That byond white guy was a carpenter in his dreams, in 45 years of construction work, I've never seen a carpinter whip out his mutlitool, more for a want to be fix it guy, and go somewhere warm and lose the pink
i want that cleaver blade!!!
I want to be Zack!
To much talking about a look a the tools or don’t they work we are talking about gerber lol
Ben😂😂
Don't Gerber make baby food?
Straw Man that’s their blade steel
There sheaths are horrible good tools bad sheats please get some better sheaths
I've never liked Gerber products hasn't changed in 2021 the debter drive is garbage qnd poorly made.
