- Went to El Segundo Beach to surf fish on a negative tide. Eventually found my way to a new jetty that was productive for a negative tide. The previous video that we posted shows how productive this place is! this was filmed before but we had to put the other video out first because of all the fish we caught!

Did you have to park in the lot down at el porto and hike to those jetties up the bike path?

We park here and walk south down the bike path: if you set up some light tackle e 3” swim baits you’ll get a lot of strikes that area holds a ton of croaker and some White Sea bass. If you go smaller there’s smelt & mackerels too. My pops pull out one hali.
@@belowaveragefishing4771 got it! Thank you! You guys are awesome
@@belowaveragefishing4771 I’m heading there now, and it’s high tide like you were talking about. I’ll let y’all know if I get hooked up today
Yea, idk if you’re still there but the south side is the most productive side. Let us know who it went
What size setup rod and reel do you use
I was using the 8’ daiwa presso UL, paired with the daiwa Legalos LT 2500. 8lb j-braid and either 8 or 10 lb leader.
@@belowaveragefishing4771 thank you love your video.. I'm just having teoibke casting 3/16 Oz with the 3-4" zman or keitech. Is it because my rod is too medium heavy action?
Thanks for the support! Check the lure rating on the rod itself, if you stay within its perimeters, you will get the best results. For lighter lures, the medium lights and ultralights, they cast those lower weight lures much better. Best to stay within the rod guidelines in terms of weight for best performance.
