    I’m on an Aromatase Inhibitor due to an estrogen fed breast cancer diagnosis last year. It does change your metabolic activity in making the weight harder to come off. What did I do? I hired a fitness and nutrition coach to help guide me and hold me accountable. Much love to you and your videos.❤

    Hi JJ!
    What if I have had cancer and can’t take estrogen? I’m afraid of the answer. I have been working out for about a month with weights and eating a lot more protein I’ve gained weight and I have noticed little muscle growth.
    Thank you for all your knowledge

    So wow I'm screwed I have hypothyroidism since birth, cerebral palsy and now at 55 everything I've done in the past 10 years to stay healthy is not going to work for me anymore and I have to start it square one unfortunately I don't know what that is I eat the protein I exercise everyday I eat very well I sleep very well and my belly keeps getting bigger. I guess it's time for some hormone therapy thank you JJ You are a lifesaver even though it's pretty depressing to know everything I do is not going to work.

    What do you think about organic soy to help estrogen levels?

    • @jjvirginvideos
      @jjvirginvideos  9 місяців тому

      Organic soy is one of those hotly debated topics, and while some people find it helpful, JJ advises to steer clear of it for a few reasons. Soy is often highly processed, and 95% of it is genetically modified. Plus, there's the issue of soy being a common food sensitivity.
      If you're considering organic soy for its phytoestrogen content to help with estrogen levels, we'd suggest looking at other sources of phytoestrogens that can be more beneficial. Foods like flaxseed, sesame seeds, and chickpeas are fantastic options.
      Here is a blog on soy that you may find helpful: jjvirgin.com/dark-side-americas-favorite-health-food/

    What can we do if we can't afford a functioning or natural doctor? What are alternatives if we can't afford these types of doctors?

    • @BrassyBrunette
      @BrassyBrunette 10 місяців тому +2

      It cost me less than $700 to see a Functional Medicine MD and obtain my first month of bio identical hormones. My monthly cost is less than $50 a month.

      @@BrassyBrunette that's still too much money for my low budget
      Whatever extra money I have left has to go to my bone health by supplements my high protein that sometimes I can't always afford animal proteins medical doesn't cover natural doctors ,, natural doctors not an option for me and most people

    • @BrassyBrunette
      @BrassyBrunette 10 місяців тому +1

      @daysoftheboo are you paying big health insurance premiums? I see it over and over. People stuck paying thousands a yr to a health plan that doesn't actually promote true health. It costs me $24 a wk to use The functional medicine MD and buy my bio identicals. Plus this MD did a thorough examination and suggests natural therapies. One just doesn't get what you are paying for with allopathic medicine. Until ppl stop giving them their money it continues. I pray for a way for you to make a better way work. You are worth it.

      Same question. It wasn't clear. I have an Oura ring and I really don't know if my HRV is improving. It mainly states optimal.

    • @jjvirginvideos
      @jjvirginvideos  9 місяців тому

      Hello! What's most important is to track your own HRV over time to understand your personal baseline and how different lifestyle factors affect it. You might find that after a good night's sleep or a relaxing yoga session, your HRV is higher, indicating your body is well-rested and not overly stressed. On the flip side, after a night of poor sleep or a stressful day, it might dip, signaling that it's time to focus on some self-care.
      To get a handle on your HRV, we advise using a wearable device that tracks it continuously. Then, you can start to see patterns and understand how your body responds to your daily habits.
