Man do I miss Anthony Bourdain. Watched everything he's done. Truly a rare breed in todays world of overly processed, regurgited bland ass "celebrities" R.I.P. to a real one. His writing is fantastic as well, searing wit and humor. What a loss...🖤
I met him and got a selfie with him when I was in Beirut Lebanon! It was such an honor, I wish he was alive to this day... I guess dying makes you more valuable 😢

I wish it wouldn’t had ended like this for him, I wish there would’ve been something that pulled him through, but there wasn’t. We can only honor him through the lovely stories and the amazing food he gave us. I think that 2020/21 would’ve been his end anyways. I think the lockdown of the pandemic would’ve been his bane. He must always be on the run, if he stands still he stops still and goes mad. While he enjoys quiet rural places all around the globe, he couldn’t just settle down on one of them. He has to visit them all and eat, drink and smoke with the locals. That’s who he was and that’s how we should remember him. Also we should always go check on that friend we haven’t heard from in a while. Maybe us reaching out is their last straw! Go through this world with kindness and care for your fellow people.

FOLDING THE COLD CUTS, GENIUS. I always wanted to cook them more often but found that laying flat makes them overcook way too fast
You can fry in a layer as well, just cut one slice (or two) from center so they do not cup (old fried baloney trick)
Fried ham and cheese.
I actually learned this in jail. Some Sinti traveler used the left over cold cuts to make a sandwich. He folded them just like this.
I’ve never even heard of croissant toast but I now need to eat it before I die.
It’s every bit as wonderful as it sounds. It comes in a loaf, but it’s croissant bread and it’s amazing.
