Guys some people can’t handle the pressure of fame, fortune and celebrity status. He couldn’t go anywhere without someone bothering him and got tired of traveling around , who knows! People have their own reasons for ending their lives
Yup. Frighteningly smart, but never pretentious. The epitome of cool, but also completely down to earth. Cultured and refined, but never snobby. Guys like Anthony Bourdain are exceedingly rare and it was an excruciatingly sad day when he left us.
You know, I don't think they even advertise anymore. I remember seeing their commercials on TV ages ago, but they probably don't need to advertise, I'm guessing, like the other fast food chains. Never see commercials for Chick Fil A, either here in Los Angeles.
worked at In-N-Out for five years... still my favorite restaurant in the world. Most folks who have worked in the food industry, especially the fast food or high-volume chain restaurants, can tell you horror stories of dubious food handling or using old/stale ingredients to use up the stock. In my time at In-N-Out, I was shocked in the exact opposite way. In the pass one shift, I saw an associate stocking cheese into the fridge under the grills. He accidentally dropped the block as he was loading, and one corner of the block touched the floor. Manager said throw the entire block out. Mind you, the blocks are double plastic wrapped - each stack of 50 or so slices are wrapped, and three stacks are wrapped together to make a block of about 150 slices. Didn't matter. A few associates split the block up to take home, so it didn't go to waste... but it was never going to the customer. Half of their restaurants score a perfect 100 on their health inspections. And if a store scores lower than a 90 on any health inspection, it's almost guaranteed termination for the shift manager. Regarding food safety and quality, In-N-Out does not f*ck around.
That manager... even in the finest hotels and restaurants, straight to jail, right away! But I get why they did that. In-N-Out has a lot of high praise to live up to, not the manager's own money, set an example, this problem needs goes away now because need to make sure everything else is prepped well because can't do a thing mid-lunch. I hope yall enjoyed and shared some fondue or whatever!

I worked at In-N-Out for 2 years...and STILL love eating there!! If anyone has worked at a restaurant or fast-food restaurant, most know that's a big deal because seeing the behind the scenes stuff at restaurants usually makes them not want to go there ever again. However, In-N-Out is so incredibly clean, the food is always made with fresh ingredients & the staff hired is trained extremely well!
honestly the best thing about in-n-out is how simple everything is. They don't add any outrageous ingredients to their food, and everything is fresh. Burgers are just supposed to be bread, pattie, lettuce, tomato, onion, and the sauce of your liking. Bo need to re-invent the wheel
Anthony is the uncle you wish you had. The friend we all grew up with but didn’t actually meet. What a beautiful soul. We miss you chef. You were one of a kind.
One of the things that make In-N-Out so good is that they have a very "limited" menu. They only make and sell the basics, and that's all you really need - a burger, fries, and soft drink (or shake, if you prefer). They could have introduced a fish sandwich, onion rings, etc. anytime over the past 5 decades and chose not to. That's what makes them special.
@@zoogie980 it's slightly more expensive than mcd, bk, wendys, etc. They nailed the price, it's as cheap as it can be while still being decent quality ingredients. A mcd cheeseburger is about $2.90. IIO: $3.50. That extra 60c goes a looooong way.

Anthony & Andrews shows on travel channel, honestly opened me up and encouraged me to try new foods/cuisines and will forever be grateful for them for that!
The first time I had one, I was underwhelmed. It seemed like just a normal hamburger. I think the effect of In-N-Out grows on you over time. I'm somewhat obsessed with In-N-Out now like most people in California. Honestly, if you just have one hamburger from there, it won't be as great as if you had one weekly or something. I've been eating there for years and I swear, I love it more and more with time. I don't think there can ever be a "best burger in the world," but In-N-Out offers a sophisticated flavor combination that I think is unmatched in the fast food industry. Places like Whataburger and Five Guys can't have a signature style because they let the customer decide too much. Just like a small-menu fine dining restaurant, In-N-Out knows what it does best and doesn't let the customer ruin it for themselves. This consistency lends In-N-Out burgers a character that becomes more pronounced and memorable with each bite. They should hire me to promote this stuff.
You are so right about 5 guys letting the customer have too much choice, that is why in n out is better. When I visited San Francisco on my road trip I had in n out 3 times in two days. By the time I was up into Oregon I was searching for another in n out like it was an addiction. It certainly grows on you over time.
I truly think it's kind of like McDonald's burgers for most people. They're comforting, everyone likes them to some degree, but they are not the best. I feel like with In-n-out and whataburger, people get so prideful about their region and truly believe they're great burgers, but it becomes kind of like a cult following even if they're not the best ever. I'm a Texas girl and I LOVE Whataburger with mayo but I will admit..it's not that great. Kind of like how I love and would marry a Big Mac with extra lettuce and sauce lol. I knoooww it's garbage but it's just so good because it's a childhood favorite. All about that ritual and comfort of fast food. (Though I will say, I truly do not like in-n-out fries since they taste like seaweed and animal style fries were so gross to me! I don't like their secret sauce truly). My absolute favorite burger I've ever had in the entire world is at this nice burger place in my hometown. It's $12 for the burger and fries (gotta buy the drink separately) but it's a delicious, juicy burger with bbq and honey mustard sauce and thick slices of bacon and cheddar cheese. I'm pregnant and I dream about it lol
I never search for his videos but always watch them when they pop up. Even though i didn't know him personally i still miss him somehow. I hope he's enjoying his journey beyond
I would add to that list "tacos de gallena en mole" which is outrageous good. If you're ever in Santa Ana, off Edinger, I believe, or maybe McFadden, don't miss a little greasy spoon called El Picador. Berta, there, makes these amazing tacos for about $1.80 a piece, and they are beyond delicious...
I miss this guy man, my favorite foodie hands down. The ability he has to pull you into whatever story he's telling or whatever he's describing is amazing. R.I.P man I hope there's an In and Out wherever you're at 😎🍔
BurgerFi is the best, if you are lucky enough to have one nearby. all grassfed, fresh Angus and Wagyu beef, hand cut fries, no steroids, antibiotics, or hormones. they have bacon jam (ketchup) and truffle aioli. cabernet onion marmalade, cracked pepper bacon, potato buns. the list goes on... 😍😋😛😃
I got connected with this dude in his trip to brazil!## how simple is life !!! And that ride onthe boat in the sunset !!made me think how a quiet journey we can ride in life also.
I think it's the sheer simplicity of the burger, and their menu in general. It's almost minimalist, but it's done extremely well. Honestly, even as a native, I can't stand the fries, but a Double-Double, animal style, will hit the spot every single time.
YES!!! Please, somebody with photoshop skills....get that action going!!! I want that on my wall. Don't forget Keith Richards too...he mention both the Lama and Keith ;)
Tony treated everyone the same, naturally, and always. There was no bs with him--ever. And he never let fame make him into someone other than his true self. He lived freely, generously, and all of us who met him either via media or in person, will remain forever grateful for how he touched and inspired our lives. Miss you friend. RIP.
@Great Man what do you think it was? Murder? I'm interested in hearing your thoughts. I know he battled depression (so do I) but when you go that long, chances are you wouldn't actually resort to suicide. I personally think he was murdered.
I think you're all missing his point. Sure you can pay $20 for a gourmet burger but an In n Out burger has that "je ne sais quoi" quality. I love the simplicity of it, and it tastes like home.
Anthony was right. Fancy places are great in their own way and definitely good for a conversation piece. But most people will end up reminiscing or yearning for that simple meal that they relate to. Whether it'd be a disgusting burger or something silly their mom made for them.
I was fortunate to meet (Thanks to my not so shy friend Sophia, RIP) and get stuck at an airport with Anthony Bourdain. He was soo nice, Between him and Sophia it made being stuck at an airport so fun! It was actually one of the best times I've ever had!!!

It's amazing how many people genuinely miss this guy. Even though he's a presenter, he's more like a good friend who we genuinely know. What a guy.
You read his books and you become even closer friend with him.
Funny you said that. My mom watched all his shows, after he died I asked what she thought. She said “He was my friend.” I knew exactly what she meant. RIP Burger s*&7
As I look at all these UA-cam “foodies” now I can’t help but not to credit this man for showing us the world on a plate first and making it fun and enjoyable to watch 😌🥺
The fact that Anthony and Gordon Ramsay both praise In-N-Out speaks volumes.
When Five Guys can get endorsements from these two, maybe I'll take them more seriously.

I still have issues watching this guy. I loved him and his show so much. I tear up and have to shut down the video. RIP Mr. Bourdain. If you only know how much you are missed..
I remember back in 2010 I came back from Afghanistan and and waited nearly 18 hours without eating because I wanted my first meal back in the USA to be a 4x4 animal style with a Large Root beer. The 30 minutes I was in cloud 9. After that I was in a food coma for about 12-14 hours lol
That food coma definitely helped the jet lag.
Lol. Signing up for the Afghanistan war.
I see you are a man of culture and taste
WE THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE SIR 🙏
Thank you for your service from a Californian! I never take my freedom or my in n out for granted thanks to the service you provide our country with
Anthony is so authentic. RIP.
@Mark Saguindel go away
@steve wenger don’t
honestly the best thing about in-n-out is how simple everything is. They don't add any outrageous ingredients to their food, and everything is fresh. Burgers are just supposed to be bread, pattie, lettuce, tomato, onion, and the sauce of your liking. Bo need to re-invent the wheel
AB was a good story teller. He made me unafraid to immerse myself into different cultures by sharing traditional, simple food with regular people.
He was a junkie
Anthony is the uncle you wish you had. The friend we all grew up with but didn’t actually meet. What a beautiful soul. We miss you chef. You were one of a kind.
Tony you’re the best, I miss your uncanny philosophy of living life on this brutal but beautiful world
I remember the first time I watched No Reservations... I was like, this guy is something special. I just love that show, could not get enough.
Man, this put a smile on my face. Miss you, AB! We all miss the smiles you put on our faces with your shows and TV persona!
May you rest in peace Anthony. I miss you and love you sir…. This video always puts me into a good mood.
RIP Anthony Bourdain. This was one of my favorite descriptions of In-N-Out. I will always vividly remember this video. Beautiful storytelling.
I'm really shocked. Always loved his shows and he seemed to be a genuine and decent person. Damn this sucks. :((
I just started at in-n-out, wish me luck it's really busy there.
laetrille It will be a lot of fast work but they care about the employees, so congrats!
digitaldirt777 It sucks
+laetrille how much do u make? do u get free food?
+laetrille lmaoooo all fast food places suck
asseater5000 I agree, In-n-Out sucks.
This is exactly why he was so popular and missed.
That's what makes them special.
its also the same price, if not cheaper, than every other fast food place. price to quality there is nothing better.
It’s really not that good. Keep your undies on

Hi to not become something like you
Sounds like you said that just because and with no meaning behind it.
I tear when I watch this, for two reasons. He understands my love for In-N-Out and that NYC doesnt understand the taste of true farm-to-table food, even in junk food. The other reason, food shows haven’t been the same without him😭😭😭
It's such a shame that his illness caused him to silence his incredible voice! He was genuine, unique and totally original. Rest in peace good man.
He was murdered.
@@elizaglaser4153 based on what do you make this claim? The most reliable information I've heard is that he suffered from depression for many years and he attempted suicide before. If you have proof that he was murdered in sure the world would like to know.
Watch his Trip to Haiti. He found the hotel where Epstein and Bill Clinton had been. I think he discovered the human trafficking operation. Haiti was a huge money make for the Clinton foundation and lots of girls came up missing.

@@johnq8043 he might have been writing a book with Chris Cornell and another insider, (cant think of his name), either way, I believe YES he was killed because he got to close. Remember he was still a reporter, he found some trails and followed them.
You're fired.
You are so right about 5 guys letting the customer have too much choice, that is why in n out is better. When I visited San Francisco on my road trip I had in n out 3 times in two days. By the time I was up into Oregon I was searching for another in n out like it was an addiction. It certainly grows on you over time.
Perfect explanation. You really fall in love with the burger every time you eat it again
Five Guys is a delight and don't bring them into this
I truly think it's kind of like McDonald's burgers for most people.
The way this man EVEN TALKED about food, made me hungry...Rest In Peace Legend.
It is so noticeable that he is salivating before taking that first bite, so genuine. Miss you Anthony Bourdain.
I never search for his videos but always watch them when they pop up. Even though i didn't know him personally i still miss him somehow. I hope he's enjoying his journey beyond

don't forget the deserts!
The only reason to not live in California is the cost of living and traffic. Everything else is just fine.
