Anita Goodesign can trace our beginnings to 1994 when Founder, Steve Wilson, purchased his first personal computer. One thing led to another and Steve began to teach himself graphic design, then machine embroidery, and then he combined the two when he set his sights on digitizing. This evolution allowed him to go from working with standard, generic embroidery to original, custom-designed works of art!
More than 20 years later and Anita Goodesign is unquestionably the top embroidery design company in the world. With more than 50 full-time employees, we are based in Charlotte and manufacture all of our products here, from conception to completion!

Thank you for this video, clear directions, clear instructional pictures and having just tried this method, so easy. Many , many thanks, I think that I know what to do then forget half way around the quilt! Problem now solved.

For a border with the rounded corners, as in the September All Access book, can you still use this method? Or should you use the fabric strips cut like a biased tape? (Videos either way would be awesome!)

when there are curves I always use binding strips cut on the bias for ease.
For straight sided quilts, I use strips cut across the grain. That gives just a little ease but not as stretchy as on the bias.

This is a great way to finish a quilt.
I have tried for my whole life to stitch in the ditch with absolutely no success ever !
I have tried every technique there is, so I will have to hand stitch my binding down! lol
My question is that every time I go to sew the squares together, its difficult to accurately align the squares so the block outline stitches don't show. Do I just do the best I can and do some ripping of any stitches that show on the front of the quilt?

I know you posted this quite some time ago, but have you ever tried stitching in the ditch with a stitch in the ditch presser foot? For me they make all the difference in the world to keep that line going straight right down the middle.

Does the binding have to be cut on the bias?

I only use bias binding on things with curves.
But, a hint to have a little ease on straight sided quilts is to cut strips across the grain as it has a bit of stretch to it. Cutting strips on the lengthwise grain will give very little stretch.
