Great discussion, and great work that you do, Billy. As a lawyer myself, I've been perplexed to the point of madness by the sentences attached to firearms license "paperwork violations." Utter, illogical nonsense. But, the truth is that the liberal states have self-servingly taken the SC's permission to "reasonably regulate firearms licensing," as permission to practically and legally bar the possession of firearms in their jurisdictions, and to attach penalties akin to homicide for violations of such state laws. It is cynical and immoral, but still a reality in the tri-state area and other liberal jurisdictions.
I can't watch this stuff without getting really upset and angry about it. yes, awareness needs to be raised on these issues. But please tell me there are people doing something about it. Like the Institute for Justice.
