With all the hype around him he scores 25 pts at Madison Square? Respect. Stay healthy, keep working, and the results will pay.
Exactly, no idea why Pat sits him so much. He’s your best scoring guard by far
he led the team with 30 minutes, how much do you want him to play? Ewing is playing a lot of guys, he doesn't have star guys, he has depth. You see how fired up their bench was all game? When you have 10 guys getting 10+ minutes it makes for a fresh and enthusiastic team that plays unselfishly. He's third in minutes per game as a true frosh.
Jeff F you must not be a Georgetown fan. We had the worst guards in D1 last year, no hyperbole. That’s why Mac and Akinjo came in and start as freshmen. Mosley is the worst D1 guard I’ve ever been forced to watch play. If Mac isn’t tired he should be playing almost every minute. Just because they won this game don’t get it confused, this team has been drastically under performing and a decent part of that is due to over subbing particularly at the guard spot for Mosley
call Pats office and talk to him about it.Im sure he'll listen to you sir.Maybe you can get him to understand basketball the way you do👌
@@davidmccracken288 you got the number? i would love to. hope he has a clear hour
(202)687-3600
Hes a gamechanger, high iq, great shoot, high energy, special talent without doubt.
I can see Mac playing 2 years at G'town and then being an early to mid 1st round pick.
I agree with you 100 percent
Can you? Lol
He should play all 4 years
Yep he is a 2 or 3 year guy
He'll be a star in the JBA when he comes out.
No doubt in my mind.
He's a great player.
I love this kids game
I love this kid! Great Job Georgetown University.
Good kid, can tell from interview at the end.
High praise for his teammates...a classy kid with serious game....i hope the team really pulls it together....all the best dudes.
Why does Ewing keep benching MAC?? Smh 🤦♂️ Had him on the bench for several minutes both half’s
I'm thinking it's because of his ankle because Mac said in another interview after the game it's still not 100%
Because unlike St. John's Georgetown has a deep roster and Ewing likes to keep his starters fresh. Besides McClung himself admitted he is still not 100% recovered from his ankle injury.
FAmiliar w/ a thing called a rotation? Or a long season? 🤦🏾♂️ Did they not pick up the W? Foh
Robert Rawins facts that pass was wayyyy too latee
Gee Venom rest?
Gus Johnson's "who's the Mac" is an instant classic. HOYA SAXA!
You know this kid is from my home town he came to my school and my entire school got to meet him he is an amazing ball player and will go places
Funny how some of the naysayers have disappeared. This kid can play. Would have been fun to see him throw down a wicked dunk at the end there (as he can so easily do) but I understand that in the moment a safe jam was the right play.
Honebead Smith he still on a bum ankle he is not %100
@Dwight Cook bla bla bla
Get off his nuts
Dwight Cook your a bust and apparently don't know about Big East basketball. Go back to your recliner and sit there in your jammies snacking on jelly donuts and talk smack about someone doing what you cant
They criticize Macs 3-point percentage. Correct me if I'm wrong I just saw four NBA threes that he drained in this game no problem. As Gus Johnson said beautiful release
He answered those questions with simple standard answers and looked professional doing it. 💪
Imagine had Mac, Akinjo and Leblanc stayed together for all four years at Georgetown...
Nice to see his teammates finally trusting him. Early in the season they would only pass to him if they had no other choice.
Huge fan of him. Kids got insane potential
*The Mac Attack is Back*
Commentator was lit 😂😂
1:15 headband said "coach! WTH THAT WAS A JUMPBALL!"
nah you got out-scrapped, fella
Good game Mac.Keep up the hard work💪🏀
Yall best player since Allen Iverson. He going get drafted in the Nba for sure
Let's not forgot about Jeff Green Patna !
He will be a great player in the JBA.
I don't care what his haters say.
He's going to be a star?
@@amarirasheed6 JBA hahaha
Don’t forget about Austin Freeman, Roy Hibbert etc.
It’s crazy how much he can do well he is sitting cough cough that coach lmao
This kid lived about a half hour away from where I live. He balled out against my school, he'll be special and hopefully go pro.
Been following mac since a junior in high school love his game hes a winner.
I like his game and toughness, what is his projection in this year draft???
YouRe GoInG tO GEoRGETowN To SiT
Love the guys doing the commentary...they've got more personality than most all broadcasters combined. They made the game even more enjoyable.
This may not be the return of the Mac, but we are seeing a very good Georgetown team with his addition as well as kjon. I'm not sure if I spelled that correctly though.
0:58 im sorry...that looked so much like an mj move
Not sure if this guy is the next Mark Price or the next Management Trainee at Walmart.
When he got the ball hes just attacking the rim or shoot it.
Well yeah duh.lol. or pass if he is shut down
he is...how you say...very aggriessive.
Play Mac play Mac and win let them boys run and win get out off that old offence and letmrum hoyas 4 life.
That boy Mac is the truth! He earns his ⏰
Slim mean wit it!!!
This kid is the most exciting player in college basketball. His confidence, smarts and intensity level is NBA worthy and he's only a freshman. Watch out
@Chasgall2000 it's because of the small school he went to ESPN only recognizes the bigger schools
@@benjimcdowell1627 ESPN sucks! It's now the TMZ of sports!

Mac McClung clunked St John. Awesome selection Pat Ewing.
Say what you want, the kid can flat out play ball!
Who's the Mac?????? Gus Johnson is the Mac of the commentary
Looking like Mark Price
Ride that bench boi!
Nickname return of the Mac
He's next
Is Mac gonna be an NBA Lottery pick?
no. next question.
@@headcontraption if he does great next year he can be
The irony that I clicked on this video on the same exact date one year later.....
Well, he's definitely got coaching on the media aspect
Mac has come up
I agree Ewing benching too much, this dude is an athlete could prob play the whole game!
mac mcclung, 5'8", but 6'2" in shoes
Good shooting bro...
plays like buddy hield
Why is this player not at UVa?
If this Dude would’ve just had a few extra inches. He’s very undersized compared to the combo guards in the nba.
Jacob Rønn Yeah, 6ft2 and the combos are 6ft5-6.
Yeah plus he looks shorter than 6'2 I think they were generous, he looks like 6 or 6'1 tops .. plus needs to work on his court vision, that pass was wayyyy too latee. .. and his left hand. .. needs alot of work .. I doubt he'll make the nba for atleast 3 years
Jacob Rønn I believe he has the talent to become a star in the NBA tho but he must improve on allot of thing.

He likes to go to his left but the opponent didn't do something about it🤦♂️🤷🏻♂️
He looks like gymnastics guy
Fox News for Mcclung...going big time. He just has to do a monster dunk and everyine will know who he is.
Then he played Villanova and had 4 points and 3 turnovers ☹️
Nobody's Perfect. And Villanova is a very tough team anyway. But I'm sure Mac will be back in form.
How he know guy was there if he didn't look 👀
MAC DA KNIFE
oh, Ewing !!
Is Patrick Ewing purposely hold Mac back?
Yes, Ewing is racist, he recruited him because Ewing hates him.
His foot was definitely on the line on the first 3
No racism intended. This is the nastiest white guy I've ever seen. Not necessarily the best white dude. But be honest have you ever seen a 6'2 white guy with explosiveness like this. Not even the white dude that got kicked out of the NBA for drugs who played with the Celtics for a lil.
Rex Chapman?
Chris herron... pride of fall River, mass.
I never said there weren't good white players. I just never seen a white guy explosive, like Westbrook.
@@PoliticusRex632 Rex Chapman played 12 years smh lol
@@darkmatter7668 what's your point?
This announcer doesn’t properly describe the game action
Hype !
@Amber Crooks You must be 10 that's pretty common since the 70's😂
23 ppg in last five games. Hater
He has the same avg points as their other freshman guard 13 a game.
Like I said Hype😂
@@jaygarret2377 no hate just facts 30% from 3 point 78% from Free throw line thats awful.😂
@@LSturdy yea because he started off shooting bad from the 3 point line. Now hes got it down and is averaging 20+
Too many armchair experts who probably can't even dribble a b.ball but wanna complain and show their limited knowledge
Compare his highlights to any other NBA draft prospects. Mac is the bomb he gets discriminated against because he's white. you get the feeling watching him he could score every time down the court if his coach would let him
I like this kid, but that Wings tattoo on his back is so whack.
Pplay
He went to wrong school .it's obvious.
He travels every time before he dunks. It bothers me a lot.
Issa joke right? Macdung is not an NBA caliber player
Why is this in my feed? Basketball is dumb.
He only 6 2 way under sized for NBA.
You're an idiot. Plenty of people under 6" have done very well in the NBA. Remember Spud Webb and Muggsy Bogues?
He's 6'2" with a 48" vert. He'll have no problem.
He's too late with his passes
Joe D
Still needs to learn to see the floor and pass to his bigs more. Defenses collapse on him when drives, he needs to take advantage of that.
bigstink9 facts ...
But i dont think he'll make it to the L at least not until his junior is senior year .. Dude is 20 years old I think . My court vision was better than his at 13 years old bro.. theres too much hype on him .. but the nba too is overated alot of ppl in the L on don't deserve to be there either especially the big men
@@joed8057
True. just know that Mac didn't really start playing organized basketball until the 8th grade.
You're right, he's already 20 years old, which means he's an old freshman.
But the thing with McClung is you watch his game and it seems to improve week to week.
Mac looked like he couldn't shoot the first 5-6 games in college.
Now he's the Hoyas knowdown 3 point shooter with range from the NBA stripe.
Mac is a fun player to watch and I like his game, but to be successful at the next level he's got improve at almost everything.
@@joed8057 hes 19. And FYI, middle school court vision is nowhere near similar to college or even NBA court vision.
@@bigstink9 He's 19, wikipedia is incorrect
