No one will see this reply probably but I literally can’t agree more, I almost feel bad he works his ass off and doesn’t get near the respect and credit he deserves, MCC should have an achievement named after him, maybe for getting every single MCC achievement they could name an achievement after this guy. he literally went thru LASO twice in each game JUST to make updated guides, lots wouldn’t do that- I love his guides and they are literally the best I’ve ever seen!! The detail, the consideration, being incredibly nonlinear (meaning taking into account tons of scenarios and different outcomes, stuff like that. He says a ton of stuff lots of other guides just wouldn’t) He’s also fun to listen to lol he jokes and entertains, as well as informs and helps, this guy is the whole package!! Congrats to Silver for 50K subs!!

I killed a grunt after the second reactor and reset to last checkpoint as soon as it happened and was able to get the achievement. Hope this helps.

I feel like they intended for this to be possible. Why wouldn’t they let you go back if you mess up? Restarting all the way for one grunt death seems insane
You should also turn on grunt funeral and boom, because when a sentinel or flood kill a grunt, they explode, and they kill alot of enemies around it.
xboxgamerJ16 Good point. Didn't even think of that. I usually steer clear of those two skulls for my own safety, but in this case those would help a lot!
I used the grunt funeral skull to signal if there were any grunts I killed. Helped a lot.

Boom is really difficult on this mission - it makes getting in a banshee for the second generator absolute hell because one Banshee bomb can obliterate you
Chris C I had boom skull on Assault on Control room and had low health before attempting getting up the tower at the end. Needless to say the wraith got me over and over and over

This achievement is a crime against humanity because it's based on luck and RNG. Also, grunts on legendary are no joke in large numbers. Took me almost 3 hours to finally do this on MCC PC.
i know this is 4 years later but damn those grunts are ruthless on legend in groups of 4
Just confirmed 01/26/19 you can get both this achievement and leave it where it lay with both bandana and grunt funeral on and revert to checkpoint if you kill a grunt by accident. Hope this helps!

@@VaetanThoughtno, if you catch it before it saves, you should still be able to get it. I unlocked the achievement once and I think that happened to me. Going for it again on another account and I remember all the pain I put myself through the first time
This achievement was hell... definitely helps to have Grunt Funeral and Boom on. For several instances in the mission, I just maneuvered around and the grunts would occasionally shoot each other and the skulls would create a glorious chain reaction. Also, the de-spawn at the beginning is immensely helpful.
Oh, so you can do the despawn to grab the first banshee and then re-spawn everyone?
since he did not do it, i tought that strat would mess with the achievement, and someone like me that likes to tackle multiple achievements at once at possible, doing the little guys and leave it, that first part it's hell, that stupid wraight wrecks me every time i want to grab the banshee.
Does boom hurt your health when you step into the energy field? I had the same thought... it seems to not just to grenades, though, but any explosion-including banshee bombs, wraith mortar, rocket launcher missiles, and carrier form eruptions. The grunts kill each other off more my but my health ends up taking more damage from other crap.
Finally completed this... was a lot harder considering I was doing “Leave it where it lay” as well to get both of them in one run
your telling me, is hard to do both, shotgun and plasma pistol only while doing no kill grunt challenge, im using more skulls than bandanna
me using eyepatch, boom, grunt party/funeral, sputnik, catch (so they can nuke themselves) piñata, iwhbyd (sometimes legendary runs, mythic and thunderstorm)
I tried this at the same time I got Leave it where it lay.
All Im gonna say is: Grunts deserve death.
if you're struggling with this you can definitely do it just by adding a guest account derived from your main and using a second controller like others have suggested. the guest account can just go on ahead and clear the whole level, you can even go crazy with skulls to make it easier, and as you progress you dont have to worry about moving the second chief with your main account since you get teleported to loading zones, mostly the ones at the hallways that connect the multiple polygonal shaped rooms in the level. you get infinite lives with the guest acount, so you dont even have to worry about that. it can take a bit of time if you're being cautious like me after trying this thing solo for hours, but it definitely works
Use acrophobia, bandana, and boom. Fly past and over everyone. There’s a couple places where you need to let things load, like the bridge where covenant and flood are fighting, you need to let all the flood jump over to your bridge. You also need to acrophobia fly to the end where the banshees spawn next to the wraiths but you don’t need to take banshee. Just acrophobia fly. Took like 20-30 mins total, and most of it was because I missed a couple loading points. Super easy to get this and leave it where it lies achievements simultaneously.
Was reading through comments to see someone mention this. Acrophobia makes a lot of achievements so easy to obtain that would normally take hours
5:31. There's so much RNG to this that I can't get it to work. Everytime I attempt it all the Needler Grunts utterly destroy me before I can reach the corridor. And if I do reach the corridor, the fucking Jackals finish off what health I have left.
Whoever at 343 thought it was a good idea to remove Heroic as an option for this achievement in MCC is an asshole. Fuck sake I hate this achievement, it feels bloody impossible.
Yup. Took me waaaaay to long to get past this part. After this its a breeze though, for the most part.

Get really fuckin pissed, quit and go do something else while fuming about it, suddenly come back out of pure hatred and the need for revenge and get it after one or two tries. How it always goes for me.
@@MintyLime703 Same for me, except I usually sleep on it. If I really struggle with figuring something out, I'll go to bed, wake up the next morning, and suddenly have an epiphany.
That's how it's been for me on my CE mod project right now. Getting this script to spawn in ghosts kept me up all night, and I figured it out within five minutes the next morning.
MCC achievements are really fucking hard. I've started halo 2 laso and after like 3 hours got 1/4 through the first mission..
uʍopǝpᴉsdn sᴉ ǝɯɐu ʎɯ Yeah, LASO Halo 2 is definitely the hardest achievement in any Halo game. Try not to get discouraged by Cairo Station, though. That is one of the hardest missions in the game. After that you'll cruise by a few levels to build up that confidence! :)

@@Brettskei i suggest taking regular breaks. If you get frustrated you only perform worse and that makes you even more frustrated. A vicious cycle indeed.
couple of tips for people to make this alot easier. 1) there is a despawn you can do at the very beginning when you open the final door out of the control room. press the button then wait about 1.5 second and re press, if you do it right the door will open with only 2 jackals and 2 elites. then get the banshee fly it back up to the control room entrance press the button again (which loads the enemies) get in the banshee fly to the ground (where the snow is, this is needed to trigger a load zone to finish the level) then continue on. 2) you can get a ghost on the last bit of the level which makes it super easy. on the door that blows up and only has a small opening. fly in banshee to that area and then back track for a ghost, drive the ghost backwards and wedge it in the door, get in the banshee and push the ghost through and boom you can now drive through the rest of the level. (a few things have to be done to spawn the banshees at the end. when going over the bridge in the ghost slow down so the game spawns the flood enemies and when you are exiting the tunnel go right and kill the pack of flood that spawns)
Whoah, this one's another doozy for all you achievement hunters in 2022! Thanks to this channel for the excellent walkthrough. I got it after maybe like 4 hours of playing. I would say the hardest part in this entire level is the very beginning with the sentinel/covy battle cause it's so unpredictable and your shields drain in seconds if you cant find holes to jump through. Good luck to all!

Update early September 2021: You can still use the bandana skull, and you can still revert checkpoint if you accidentally kill a grunt.
Confirmed. The "Leave it where it lay" and "little guys" achievements can both be unlocked with bandana skull on and if you use the co op guest option. I feel like I cheated but WTFE! Lol

if a grunt dies (not by you though but by another enemy) does it still count against you? if not would having grunt funeral on help?
Nope, that won't count against you. Grunt Funeral would be a good idea. :)

I'm not sure in MCC but in the original Combat Evolved Anniversary edition you can get the achievement in split screen.
Yes split screen works with a guest. Just did it a couple days ago with my spare remote.
Man up ladies just did it solo.
That's the way I do all hard achievements for example ,,That just happened'' where you have to beat the library on legendary without dying I just use my second account to kill everything and first account doesn't get touched

Doing my 2nd 100% mcc playthrough. This achievement is very easy to cheese. Just hook up a 2nd pad or play with a friend. Let the other player / pad complete the level using any weapon and the other AFK player / pad will get the achievement. I also got the other achievement leave it where it lay in the same run alongside a few others. Completed this using the bandana & GBP skull on. Very easy compared to the legit way wich I done during my 1st ever playthrough 😂 winning is winning ehh guys haha
This achievement is just the worst. I mean that first part took me so long and when I finally reach the end I don't get it. Now I have to redo it all.

Yeah, fuck this achievement. What's worse is that the original CEA let you do it on Heroic, which is far more fucking reasonable than expecting people to do it on Legendary. It's bullshit.
Acrophobia skull works while getting this acheivement. You just need to hit the loading zones as you go through. Theyre mostly on the ground before doors or on bridges
Using acrophobia is a pain because not only do the loading zones suck, the checkpoint zones also break completely, so you die once and get set back half the level.
I just completely cheese this achievement by using a second controller and having the other profile play through the level while my main profile does literally nothing.
Two birds one stone, because you can also get the achievement for not picking up another weapon during the level this way
I will leave my recommendations for those who do not have it.
1. 99% RECOMMENDED to play it cooperatively. If it is locally with a brother or friend better. One is clearing the area of Elites, Jackals and other things, and the other player serves as a spawn point in a safe area.
2. Use the "boom" and "funeral" skulls. This will definitely be the best option. The second player to clear the area can go and have a grunt throw a grenade at him. If he throws a grenade at you, get close to him and that will make him kill himself and create a super explosion (if there are more enemies).
3. Use the glitch on the first door you open to get out of the control room. (Search the internet for the speedrun of this level so you know what I'm talking about.
4. At the end in the snow area with the covenant and flood, you can wait in the left area of the map while they fight. If the flood kills a grunt, it will be responsible for unleashing explosions that clean the area.
5. At the end, in the same area of the snow, look for a ghost and avoid the enemies (flood of the rockets). You can climb the ghost in the part where there is like a giant step. Use the ghost to reach the banshee, quickly get off the ghost and take the banshee and rise. Just get to the next point and voila. You finish the mission.
It took us more less an hour to finish it.
*EXTRA Recommendation: DO NOT use grenades, except in areas where there is only flood. If you accidentally kill a grunt you can load up a checkpoint quickly. The same for the grenades applies to the rocket. The reason is that if you throw more grenades thrown you can kill nearby grunts*

My dumbass banshee bombed a group of Covvies in the tunnel after the second generator. Always outta habit....spent nearly an hour trying to get to that point 😑

To anyone giving up, due to the recent update of adding acrophobia to CE you can use that and bandana to make your life easier and got leave it where it lays and this achievement

5:30 Pretty sure this part is fucking impossible if you have one bar of health. No matter what I do they always make absolutely perfect shots and instakill me the second I'm seen. Had to restart and even with full health it's stupidly luck based
Been 40 minutes or so, just finished. Actually really easy after that spot. Especially if you bring a ghost with you to the end. Also did Leave it Where It Lay at the same time, Bandana and Grunt Funeral on.

Gee, I wonder why the "most replayed" in this video is at that particular spot. It couldn't possibly be that this mission, game, and entire franchise is incredibly shitty with it's checkpoints, could it?
I never got a checkpoint here, and kept having to restart from before activating the first shield-raping pylon, which was also really finnicky about activating. Needless to say, fuck this achievement. I will proudly leave it, and anything Legendary-adjacent uncompleted because of how fucking stupid they are.

Halfway through the mission I was going to reload a checkpoint when my dumb ass clicks restart.
Edit: Got both achievements with skulls. Acrophobia, bandana, grunt funeral and boom.
The latter two are good to let faction fights sort themselves out, and to give you lots of grenade power against the flood.
Just be aware that the map is pretty particular about loading zones, which silver explains in his Two betrayals legendary speed run video and is applicable with flying.
The only real obstacle is getting past the first covenant room and hallway until the first scripted flood fight cause getting checkpoints is a little finicky.
It might seem like a good idea to have Boom on, but it's not. The hardest parts are the rooms with grunts in them and with the increased explosion radius you're very likely to explode one on accident. Especially in the room at 5:10. Additionally the Wraiths next to the banshees become extremely dangerous as they'll wipe out the flood.
Got to the 5:15 room without looking at the guide or using bandana and even figured out the crouching around the windows and stuff but couldn't get through got pretty pissed off trying to get though it but now that I know that's the hardest room I kinda wanna try to finish it without the skull... but I picked the rockets and pistol due to ammo restrictions so probably gonna restart lol
Just completed “Leave It Where It Lay” along with “Look Out for the Little Guys” in the same playthrough using this guide. MUCH appreciation for these guides.
Some things are a bit dated, but to be expected at 8+ years old, and the general blueprint is still there which has surely helped a lot of people including myself.
Took me hours in total, and giving up on numerous occasions, but we did it Fam.
I tried but in the second room I wasn't able to kill the 2 elites without hitting a grunt, so I said fuck it and just went for "Leave it where it lay", I'll do this one in another playthough with the sniper, that'll be so much easier.

Finished after 2 or so hours without killing any grunts and got nothing for it. Hopefully you can cheese it with a co op partner cause this one is bs. No way I'm going through that torture again.
Yes, you can get this achievement in Coop, I played with a friend and one of us would be gunning for the achievement while the other one would kill the Grunts, once finished we'd replay the level and swap roles.
the good news is acrophobia has been added to halo 1 so you can use that with bandana to fly away from fights just did it rn to it works
Another method I tried out, despawn in beginning, then once you get through the first doorways after generator, a safer way to get through the enemies is to have the enemy betray grunts, if you have boom and grunt funeral on, it should take out some enemies, really helps.

the safety guide I mentioned takes a bit more time, but gets the job done
Thanks for the guide Silver Scorpion, it took me 4 hours after repeatedly going back to the last checkpoint ad nauseum. Some *very* useful notes from my MCC *PC version* play through:
(1) HIGHLY RECOMMEND turning on Grunt Funeral. In fact this was required for how I did it. Also turn on bandana skull, allowed me to concentrate on killing the enemies and making sure they were all flushed out instead of worrying about ammo.
(2) The enemies in the beginning before you leave all the blast doors was quite hard on the PC version. I feel like there are a few things on PC that makes it harder than it looks on Xbox. I had to re-load the last checkpoint repeatedly because the sentinels would all die before all/most the grunts were taken out. Then hide on the sides and use your over-charged plasma pistol to take out the remaining elites/jackals (always got 2 elites). Crouch, overcharge plasma pistol, stand up, release, and quickly crouch again. Repeat until all enemies are dead.
(3) MUST do the de-spawn trick before you leave to go outside. It just makes that part so much easier. There's a few videos on youtube on how to do that.
(4) The infamous room the OP took 10 min. to get by is almost impossible on PC, but I did it twice using OP's method and could never repeat it a 3rd time (because I kept accidentally shooting a grunt in the long hallway immediately afterwards, and there is no checkpoint). There are 7-8 grunts, all but one with needler, the last one has a plasma pistol. Also 2-3 jackals, and 4 elites. I went in, ducked under both windows as the OP does, then opened fire on as many elites as I could where OP starts sprinting. Then I hide in the corner alcove (the same thing Silver jumps through in that part of his video) in front of the 2nd window you crouch under, and sniped everything else but the grunts. The grunts and jackals will never come up to where you are, and rarely do the elites walk up to you. Once done I make sure nearly all grunts are in the location where the OP has to start sprinting. I strafe back and forth and essentially get the grunts to eventually TK another grunt, thereby causing a giant explosion, which takes out all/the majority of the grunts. Sometimes I have to do it for 2 groups of grunts, but it only takes less than 5 min., just keep dodging in and out of view and usually there's a grunt on the other side of the spartan-height barrier who will get needles from grunts further behind him, and eventually he will die and explode. Sometimes there will be one grunt left in the middle of the room who refuses to leave. In that case I lure him out of that area, circle around, and jump up on the catwalk thing in the center part of the room, that leads to the outside of the center part and directly above the hallway you're trying to get out on. I usually jump down, slowly move forward and snipe off the 2 jackals that appear. The 3rd one usually runs into the hallway.
(5) After you take out the 2nd generator you'll take the banshee through the tunnels. You can also squeeze a ghost through the narrow doors, there are youtube videos showing how to do this (with the banshee) and is really useful and fast to get to the last banshee you need.
The AI on PC MCC is much more aggressive I've compared it side by side with the original CE release on PC and it feels like the AI is about twice as aggressive as it use to be. It does make a lot of this a lot harder.
The fact that the 5:09 room is immediately followed by the 5:56 room without a checkpoint in the middle should be considered a war crime.
Strat for those going for Look out for the Little Guys and Leave it where it Lay concurrently. The 5:56 room can be cheesed with grenades. The jackals and elites hang a bit further back in the room, so you can just toss grenades _one at a time_ at the end of the hallway until they're dead. They move around enough that you should be able to get it.
I honestly think that doing this co op would make it much easier. Just have the account thats earning the achievement stay back as a respawn if you die, and have the second player go and do all the killing. Now the main question is, can I use a guest account or do I have to use a seperate entire account?
Yes, it's much easier in Coop, I got this with a friend. One of us would kill the Grunts and the other one would sit back and only kill things if no Grunts were in the area, and once finished, we'd replay the levels and swap roles.

Unlike the Xbox One version this must be played on Legendary
Grunt Funeral and Boom while suggested, did not help me much sadly but it may help you tho.

At the end, no matter what I do, my Banshees gets absolutely shredded down to 1 or 2 bars of health which makes the sentinals so tough
I hope youve gotten the past few months, but in case you haven't, just straight ignore those last sentinels. drive the banshee straight to the door and bail out and run inside.

Is it 100% safe to just Restart at last checkpoint instead of save/quit after accidentally killing a grunt?
biza0vs0goten I'm personally not sure. I've heard that you may need to start the entire level over, though :/ Again, I haven't test this theory out myself.
Halo Completionist Alright then save/quitting is the safe way to go since it doesn't save anything you've done since your last checkpoint. Thanks for the answer though!
Halo Completionist Beat it today with both achievements, no bandana. Best tip for that room (which is the only hard part at all whatsoever) is to run through it like you did at first, behind the big block, jump through the hole and then run down and grenade the jackals. Just make sure you have 2 plasma grenades because you want to kill the two elites in the next hall with those, plasma pistol the jackal and run through the last 4 grunts by zig zagging to dodge needlers and bam. done.

Halo Completionist Thanks and make sure to tell them that you can't use Bandana and you have to do both in one run. :D lol
Some parts can be tricky but this achievement is a lot easier than you might think, using the sniper and shotgun throughout the level. 90% of the grunts are on the first half of the level, and then they appear at the end but most flood will take them out or you can just run past them. I used the bandana skull and the grunt funeral party skull and I did the de-spawn at the start, which makes it really easy, you can kill the empty wraith outside while the enemies are de-spawned as well to be extra secure. The grunt funeral party skull makes the first encounter really easy as well, just back off after opening the door, the sentinels will kill one grunt for sure and then a chain reaction erupts killing most enemies, at least all the grunts, so you can just spam grenades to kill the rest and noob-combo the elite.
5:28 I hate so much how this guy just doesn't get hit. I've been trying for 30 minutes, in this spot and I have NEVER, NOT ONCE, gotten to 5:37 without losing all my shields!
It's like we aren't even playing the same game a lot of the time watching these guides.
Should have done the despawn in the beginning. You tap the control panel to the door that leads outside once and then when the screen stops scrolling briefly hit it again. The door will turn green and open if timed correctly. If you miss time it and it doesn't open you dont have to reset the checkpoint just try again. This will despawn every enemy on the tower except the elites and jackals immediately once you exit that door. Go down the tower and grab the banshee then take it back up and hit that door panel again to spawn everything back in so the level loads properly so you can progress. Then take the banshee and book it to the generator platform. Saves a lot of time, deaths and stress
Additionally you should have pushed a ghost backwards through the broken door with a banshee to get it to the bridge section. This speeds up the rest of the mission so much as you can virtually drive past everything straight to the banshees at the end of the mission and fly to the last generator. Note though that if the chapter sequence does not load on the bottom of the screen when you exit the tunnel to the outside again ("final run"), you have to backtrack to the bridges and hit the loading zones again. Also you have to kill the cluster of 5 flood on the right once you go outside or the level doesn't load properly. But it's worth doing this trick as it saves so much time and skips one of the hardest parts in this mission
Also I recommend putting on grunt birthday party and funeral to make it obvious if a grunt gets killed. Or you can just have a coop partner kill the grunts for you and you still get credit as long as you didnt kill any
No matter what I do I cannot get the grunts to flee. It makes this impossible.

This achievement is brutal. I'm stuck at the cliff bridge door section. I can't do that nade jump. 5.17 precisely. It's really hard. When I get past the room and the small section, I get annihilated in the hallway. I've just restarted to proceed with the sniper rifle. Should have known better.
I did this on the 360 back in the day. I can’t even remember how I did then.

As of 9/20/24 ive found a much easier way for this achievement and Leave it where it lay. I played a split screen on xbox with another account. Used the secondary account to run through the mission, killing all enemies (including grunts) and picking up weapons. While making sure the main account did NOT die. Both achievements unlocked for the main! Only had the bandana skull on.
Fuckin DID IT! WHATS UP! Had Bandana on and read the comments and learned that you can just revert to last checkpoint if you accidently kill a grunt. That is sooooo much easier. I was restarting the whole level if I killed one and it was impossible

Does this basically mean keep all grunts alive does the achievement work if their own grenades kill them?
In german Version not impossible. You walk through like its on normal difficulty. On legendary the grunts hits you 3 times and you're dead.
I tried this for over one hour and didn't get the achievement at the end... which means I mistakenly killed a grunt somewhere. FU#*
Does anyone know, if you accidentally kill a grunt, and then Revert to Checkpoint, does the achievement reset, or does it invalidate the entire achievement?

If a grunt is being killed by someone, like with grenade toss, Hunter explosion etc, or if he just suicide, again with grenade for example, does this ruin the achievement ?

When I try doing it every single grunt is shooting at 10,000 Bullets a second and the first wraith doesn't sit there taking damage it just shoots me right in the face?
I gave up after dying 20 times just in the first section before even getting to the stupid banshee
For anyone curious... *there is an easier way to grab this achievement* other than playing solo. Instead, *turn on a second controller (or invite a friend if you don't)* and play in the same mission on Legendary with the Bandana skull. Once you have a co-op partner, *have the player going for the achievement NOT shoot at all.* Your co-op partner will do all of the work to complete the mission. *Once the mission is complete, the player who did nothing will unlock the Look Out For The Little Guys achievement.* Rinse and repeat for the other player by re-playing the same mission and swap roles.

i was doing this and my banshee spawn kept spawning it in a weird way, making it fall into the chasm :/ dont wanna do this again tbh but i have to now
everything that could have went wrong did. I have no health, my old banshee has no health. I dont know why the new one falls off because my old one is parked at the front, so its not even close enough to touch it. so annoying
UPDATE: I did this while doing the Leave It Where It Lay achievement and neither of them popped. This is so demoralising
Just got it on PC with bandanna, the two rooms near the start are the worst. Everything else is easy.

Yup! One person can kill all the grunts, the other can just hang back and get the achievement.
As of 28 October 2023, I can confirm you can get the achievement with bandanna, I also used boom and grunt funeral in my run (boom + bandanna for the flood sections and grunt funeral was really just for the section after you open the first door)
I've never gotten this achievement for myself but I did help 2 other players get this achievement and if you accidentally kill a grunt you can reload a checkpoint and still get the achievement. If playing co op you can have the other player kill the grunts for you. You can also do the no picking up a new weapon achievement which I helped the two other players get simultaneously. Idk if I want to get these achievements for myself
Im doing this with the leave it where it lay achievement and it is just awful. I don't have the privilege of picking sniping I have to keep my weapons. I'm stuck on that room by the bridge
For those on PC in 2021:
- Bandana on works
- Killing a grunt and "revert to last checkpoint" works
- Dying doesn't matter (albeit I think if you die by explosion and your nades explode and kill grunts you're screwed - got a few killtaculars just by dying without shooting)
Information I wish I knew before I started;
1. You just have to make it past the alleyway after the soul draining room, once you're there it's plain sailing as it's mainly horde.
2. Your nades, when you die, count as kills (I'm going on the basis that I didn't shoot a bullet, get plasma grenaded then get a killtacular as my nades explode) so you're better off just "revert to last checkpoint" as soon as you die
Things that I knew that helped me;
I've done the halo CE LASO achievements and par score/time, all of which helped me with little bits of knowledge like pushing the ghost through the door.
I did both "leave it where it lay" and this; the infinite ammo really helped, as you have infinite nades you don't really need a rocket launcher or sniper.
Tips;
You can "despawn" the first outside area of enemies which makes getting a banshee real easy
You can push a ghost through the half open door in the tunnels
There's a couple of nade jump skips you can do too (per LASO / par time guides)
dude, you make this shit look way too easy...like, every single one of your videos on legendary and it's infuriating to try to play it alongside one of your guides. They're super helpful but half of the time I can't recreate what you do/what happens in your game. I've been stuck trying to get past the first set of grunts/sentinals and the single elite at the start of the level for 30 minutes at least. And the fact that the enemies in your game seem to take almost no interest in you at all makes no sense to me. I get nuked every time someone looks at me.
I have the impression if you do this co-op with a friend and one dies, he drops his grenades. If these grenades explode somehow and kill a grunt, this counts as if a player has thrown that grenade. can someone confirm?
The part that sucks the most is that in Halo Anniversary on 360, this could be done on Heroic. Which was still challenging (took me 3 hours to beat the level!), don't get me wrong. But it was possible.

3) Tis a silly thing. The pistol in CE is just a boss. Doesn't make sense that the sniper does nothing, though, lol. Maybe....banshees are just made out of the Flood since the sniper doesn't affect the Flood either....or vice versa!

I did this with a partner. I got the achievement and they did not. If your partner kills a grunt but you don’t, do you think you still get the achievement? If so, your partner could clear them up and you could walk on by.
you have to switch roles
if you have the times to explosion radius sign, it’s a lot easier because only you have to kill the grunt even by accident if they throw their own grenade and it blows up in their face because of times to explodes in radius, causing them to kill themselves. Hope this will help because it is with me.

If i do this on Co-op and my friend kills the grunts, can i still get it?
At 1:26 are you able to do the glitch with opening the door twice and it not affect the achievement? I know we spawn them after getting the banshee, but it'd cut down on time if applicable

When I was doing this,in one attempt I got to the 2nd pulse generator and got outside to realize that the banshees didn't spawn in,and it made me so mad,because the glitch made me restart the entire level

John jones Absolutely! It makes it way easier. You can sit back and let your partner go forward and kill everything (grunts included) and the achievement will pop for you. Then you can switch roles and get it for your friend. Or you could always plug in a second controller and use a guest to kill everything while your main account just sits there and gets the achievement :)

I think the wraith ai may have been updated, it just shoots me even if I am directly in front of it. I cannot kill it in time with the shotgun before it kills me.
I was blowing up grunts with my banshees for fun and to destress after they took 1 hour of my life from me, and then when I was finished and just about to revert back, I checkpointed...
