    Hungarian Vizslas are so underrated. They are one of the best dog breeds a family can have! They are so affectionate, loyal, happy and friendly. Don't drop much hair, don't chew things and rarely dig holes. Love, train and treat them well and you will have a close friend until the day they die.

    I always felt that a part of the dog dies. So my ones are a menace :( Greetings from Hungary.

      If anything, the dog now gets a much better life and more freedom because their level of training allows them to run free on walks instead of being restricted on the lead.

      @@AdolescentDogsUK My ones do not need walks, they roam free whenever they want to. I would never have a dog where I have to leash/restrain them all the time. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate your work, many people need you.

    How I wish the same steps taken when buying/adopt a human being, one day are taken at the time of having a pet, I have a Vizsla, they need positive training, they are very sweet, the only thing that I achieve with normal training is scare him, when thinking about having a Vizsla first find out what his character was like in his country of origin my country of origin, the one that intends to train a Vizsla with rigidity and collars is wrong .... Choose your partner not for how looks, if not for how it is, respects the races.

    • @FarmerFpv

      There is no such thing as 100% positive-only training thats a lie. I own 3 Vizsla's they need balance and need to be corrected, I seriously doubt your dog listens to you off-leash and in high distraction areas. Every trainer that says they only do positive training is full of shit. When you withhold a treat from a dog when they don't do what you want like every fake positive only trainer does thats a Negative! Withholding is not a positive thing that is teasing which is worse. Positive only training is fake Also ignoring the dog is negative. Also, WTF is regular or normal training? Training is training dogs need balance and corrections in order to be both mentally and physically stimulated and be happy! You must be one of those self-absorbed millennial snowflakes. You people that say positive training only are the reason why there are so many dog bites and so many dogs in the shelter!

    How do you get it to walk next to you without constantly looking up at you?

    • @FarmerFpv
      @FarmerFpv 5 років тому +4

      The dog is constantly looking up because he is waiting for direction. It is a natural instinct for them. I don't understand why you wouldn't want your dog's attention? Dogs are always looking for direction soon as that fades away you will get a dog that is controlling you.

  • @JasonDask

    why train dogs in the first place?

    • @AdolescentDogsUK
      @AdolescentDogsUK  4 роки тому

      Unwanted behaviour is the leading cause (33%) of death in dogs under 3 years old in the UK. Pretty sure thats a very good reason to train dogs.
      If thats not enough motivation for you, its against the law to have an out of control dog in a public space.

    Not really the video for playing your favourite pop song; what’s wrong with a narrative on some techniques?

  • @S.G..E555

    What a beautiful boy.. I don’t like the close walk training.. I’d rather my beautiful girls enjoy a good walk sniffing and seeing the world.. always feel overtraining takes away some character.. 🐾🐾 but that’s just my opinion 🐾

    • @AdolescentDogsUK
      @AdolescentDogsUK  4 роки тому +3

      What you see here is just the minimal time when the dog is asked to respond to cues so thst walks are more enjoyable. The dogs still get plenty of free time to sniff and play, and training enables it

    • @garyjackson405

      You're totally right. This is a dog that has been overtrained to the point that it no longer has a personality.
      Dogs are at their best when they are part of the family, not just a subservient robot.

      The dog is clearly not harmed by it. It is way better than pinch collars and I believe just as effective without harming the dog

    • @maureen8984

      Our vizsla hated her face halter, she would only use an old style choker chain. I would hold the choker chain open and she would freely put her head through. The face halter she would try to hide if she saw it. Many people commented on how well she was behaving. Sadly she was bitten by a greyhound and died 15 months later, the bite caused septic poisoning which caused renal failure. She made her 6th birthday. Sadly missed.
