Very good advice 👍🏻
I live in texas where summers can get really hot (up to 100 degrees F or 38 C) is this too hot to keep the focus tree outdoors?
Well that should be fine - but make sure they dont dry out! Actually, Ficus like humidity so the Texas heat isn't optimal at all. Ideally, pick species that work in your local environment!

We have a video about that: ua-cam.com/video/Ocj6HSNfz7c/v-deo.html
Would you say it’s recommended to water it everyday? I know it depends on the weather etc but is is everyday approximately?
You answer your own question :) The weather is different every day so no - you can not water on a schedule. You really only can water on observation!
Is Ficus benjamina suitable for bonsai or should I choose something else?
It is very suitable - but of course it depends on your personal taste!
