I'm Maharashtrian but live in the UK but it's good that someone talking about the real history of Maharaj my day starts with watching a face of a Maharaj Jay Bhavani Jay Shivaji 🚩
A message for all the Marathas and people of Shivaji Maharaj here : Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj dedicated his whole life building our empire and to save it from foreign powers, so now it's our responsibility to live together and end our internal quarrels and protect our empire or State from declining it's cultural value because of western influence or globalisation. Save our culture and traditions as they teach us a lot about our past & are very important in our life and in fact they are our identity. We should be grateful that a King like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was born on our land and preserve, protect and promote his legacy. Never be ashamed about our culture and tradition. Jai Bhavani 🚩🚩 Jai Shivrai 🚩🚩
I think Shivaji Maharaj was not running an minority empowerment scheme as some of the points of guest suggest. He was just following his Dharma as a king. He was appointing Muslims or Christians to work for him is due to meritocracy not for optics purposes. He gave capital punishment to many who killed cows, if im not wrong. Don't know why some Hindus have this zeal to show that he was so "secular". He was a proud Dharmik king. 🙏
@@bhnuc meritocracy over religious bias is what secularism actually means. Shivaji maharaj also gave capital punishment to those who disrespected others religion as well. My friend, secularism term just means protection of every religion on the basis of right or wrong, not a bias. During those time, minorities faced the most unjust situation, hence to protect the sense of justice he used to support them totally on the basis of meritocracy not caste bias, but during those times the aristocrats thought this action meant supporting the minorities over the overall subjects. Secularism is a good thing for every religion, you seem to be confused with its definition.

Great podcast, and great scholarship by Vaibhav, however Vaibhav should've talked about some of Shahji's achievements as well for context, Shahji was the most powerful general in Ahmadnagar sultanate, he was regent(almost de facto ruler)of Ahmadnagar sultanate for almost a decade (the Sultan wasn't adult)and faced off with Aurangzeb. He learned importance of forts from his fights with Mughals, Shahji later advised Shivaji Maharaj to construct capital at Raigarh fort. Shahji joined Bijapur after Ahmadnagar fell to Mughals, he was awarded Banglore Subha by Bijapur. There he had established great administration, promoted farming and other industries, as a result Banglore become one of the wealthiest province. Shivaji Maharaj implemented similar policies in Maharashtra. Shahji started conducting his Banglore court in Marathi and Sanskrit alongwith Persian. With all this background it's hard to deny Shivaji Maharaj was carrying forward work started by his father and was very successful at it.
He did not mention that Ram Singh, son of Mirza Raja Jai Singh had helped Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj escape from prison. Because Jai Singh had promised Shivaji that if he surrendered, he would be treated with respect in the Mughal court. But Aurangzeb did not keep Jai Singh's promise, due to which Jai Singh went against Aurangzeb and ordered his son to help Shivaji.
If you think" chhatrapati " as just a respect to him it isn't, it's much more than that, it is symbol of all the sacrifices for dharma and mother land against adharma , it took so much of him and his mavlas to become Chhatrapati of an empire, it saved our dharma, so it is to add Chhatrapati before his name
I don't know why people still keep portraying Shivaji Maharaj as secular. If you guys want to know real history please read 'Gajanan Mehandale or Ninad Bedekar'. You won't need any other source after that.

Along with the everything vaibhav sir had mentioned about chatrapati Shivaji maharaj in this podcast, I am also impressed with thought that u must write clearly that it must understood by the PHD level guy or school students…..

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj**
One of the best podcasts here! Cheers!
for the entire podcast I felt like I was trying to ratta the 4th standard history answers for tomorrow's "exam"
He really explained thoroughly.....great podcast
I'll suggest the videos available on UA-cam of late ninad bedekar ji if you truly wants to know about shivaji maharaj.
Chatrapati shivaji maharaj 🌺🙏
podcasts hold huge potential. just the content should be informative and well judged and from the experts only. which Dostcast did !! great job!
I live bijapur mentioned in the earlier part of podcast.
Address him chh Shivaji Maharaj 💯
Jai bhavani jai shivaji 💯🚩🚀🇮🇳
Just like how we all say "jay bhavani jay shivaji" the host has also said shivaji because when you are narrating any story you may not always say the word "chhatrapati" i believe i this video the host has not disrespected maharaj at any point... Instead of continuous bashing for changing the title you all should appreciate that he brought this informative topic to all of us for 🆓...as a "maratha" i didn't find this offensive at all and so should you...
I feel where it was to be respected with "chhatrapati " the host has full filled it.....
Jay bhavani jay shivaji.
So much to learn from such great personality.

The Guest was so reluctant to mention ' Shivaji the Management Guru' everyone has heard about this if not read it. Written by Namdeorao Jadhav
Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj ji 🚩🌄⚔️ Izzat se naam lijiye aap
जय भवानी जय शिवाजी❤️
भावा छत्रपाती शिवाजी महाराज लिह
23:43 - 28:43 this section have some misconception
Some point are right or some are useless.
They are some good historian
Like Gajanan mehendale, Babasaheb purandare, Kedar phalke(specialist in reading letter, coeval of that time and translate into political, management, business language ) and my favourite ninad bedekar that only talk on coeval documents.
We need a trilogy on this history for the next generations..
Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is one of the greatest medieval marvel.
छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराज की जय 🙏⚔️
मानाचा मुजरा राजे 🙏🚩🚩
As a direct ancestor of shivaji mharaj i have to say its quiet true
