@@vafunseekers Toby Keith was one the best ambassadors our country ever had. He was very popular overseas. Even did a concert in Saudi Arabia.
We ate there in spring of 2022 and were underwhelmed. They were just starting to get back on there feet but sadly y'all ran into some of the same things we did. We always like to support local when we can. Safe travels. Speaking of safe travels we will be starting our trip to Pennsylvania three weeks from today.
The fish was so good and David enjoyed his turkey and lemon pie. However, the potatoes, gravy and David's bread definitely needs improvement. I definitely think that the bakery is a plus for them! So looking forward to Pennsylvania. We are going to slip down to Pigeon Forge right around Memorial Day. Thanks for watching!

I'm not sure about this place after watching the video, Cindy your fish looked awesome, not sure about David's turkey and taters. The pie sure was eye catching, i would have to got a piece of. Strawberry pie. Missed Carly's wit and humor, i guess I've gotten used to seeing all 3 of you. As always enjoyed the video, can't wait till your next one. God bless 🇺🇸 🫣
We would go back again. The fish was outstanding and David really enjoyed the pie. However I would not make a special trip just to go there. If I saw that strawberry pie I would have been tempted to get a slice for sure. We definitely would not get the mashed potatoes again. David did not care for the gravy. So there were positives and negatives with the meal.
We always miss Carly when she is not in our videos. She has one more week of school and then she will be out and hopefully in all of our videos. We will be going to Pigeon Forge shortly after she gets out of school so she will be in all of the PF reviews. The review we have coming out tomorrow was videoed today while she was at school. Sunday's video has all 3 of us in it.

Cindy's fish looked really delicious and you could see that it was well seasoned. We're sorry to hear that the mashed potatoes weren't the best. I’ve eaten here before on several occasions. Portions have always been large, way bigger than most restaurants. And the desserts, YUM! Last time there, purchased a whole pie. Enjoyed your video; makes me want to go again soon.
The flounder that I had was our favorite dish and David loved his lemon pie. All the pies looked amazing in the bakery. They do need to work on those mashed potatoes. lol Hope you get to go there again soon. Thanks for watching!

I love Mrs. Rowe's! Their tenderloin platter is delicious. Please try The Melting Pot Pizza in Front Royal, VA. It's is a very different pizza but it is amazing. I know they've been in business for at least 50 years because I've been going there for that long, haha! There's always a line, no matter what time of day or night you go. Just a heads up - it is a cash only business but if you forget, there's an ATM there.

at 3:53 mins, that “flounder” looks like tilapia. flounder is super thin but tilapia is thicker, a bit dry and flaky like that. i paused the video to post this, but will see how it looks as you eat it. resuming the video now. 😊

Yes she is! She only has one more week and she will be out for the summer. David is off on Fridays and we sometimes try to get a video in so we have more content. @@jeffgray8570 Jeff, We visited that area when Carly was just a baby. We would love to visit again. Not sure if we will make it there this summer or not. I know we are going to Lancaster to see Daniel at the Sight and Sounds Theater and meet some friends in the area in June. We may make it to Cincinnati in a couple of weeks. We are visiting Pigeon Forge for Memorial Day and plan to go to Kentucky for a few days. Thanks for the suggestion and feel free to suggest any specific places.

And stop in Dayton and go to Caroline historical park and learn all about the Wright brothers the birthplace of aviation and the national air and space museum, at wright Patterson Air Force Base.

A hot turkey sandwich is always one of David's favorite items to order when dining at a southern cooking restaurant. The gravy and potatoes were not as good as what he is accustomed to. However the lemon pie was a huge hit for him! We both really enjoyed the fish. Thanks for watching!

Before I would never ask to reheat or complain about the food but I learned that I needed to so the business can improve and I can enjoy.
I was wondering about the baked tomatoes and the apple butter snickerdoodles.
The baked goods really greeted you as soon as you walked into the restaurant. Made the sweet tooth come alive! lol.
I like coconut cream pie and their pies were mile high.
Cookies 🍪 were big and yummy , hopefully not dry like David’s bread.
The portion size was large and the prices were low.
How do you find the establishments and how do you determine if you decide to give it a try?

The wind and rain has been following us lately. We just have had to bring our own sunshine. 🌞
The fish was delicious and so were my apples. However, the potatoes have made my do not try again list. lol I will ask for something to be reheated or for a different order of something. David does not like to because he thinks they will do something to his food. He is suspicious like that due to his line of work.
David has stopped by this restaurant when doing transports in the past. I've only been there one time before. I know the baked goods are normally good according to him. However they seem to not be as good as they once were. We also are aware that restaurants can have off days.
I actually do quite a bit of research on the restaurants we choose. We are looking for places that have delicious food and are clean. We also get recommendations from our subscribers, family and friends. Before we go into a restaurant I actually know quite a bit about it. lol It's amazing what you can find on the internet. lol If the ratings are low and comments are not good then we don't go. I don't want food poison and I don't want to bring our subscribers bad places.

Yes! Years ago The Statler Brother's did a big Fourth of July Concert in Staunton. We went one year and saw them and Conway Twitty! Now that was a show! We were able to see Jimmy Fortune locally this pass December. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I’ve eaten here and wasn’t impressesed. The bakery all looked pale and both cookies I tried were cloyingly sweet. I got a Reuben that was soggy bc the kraut wasn’t drained. I don’t understand why this place is so well irked.
I think that it has went downhill according to our experience and the comments from our subscribers. David really enjoyed the lemon pie and I thought my fish was delicious. Unfortunately the potatoes and the gravy were not very good. Thanks for watching and commenting.
