@585 he really should've at least stayed in okc for anothe4 short 2 year contract woth a player option the 2nd season and at least trued one more time woth them, he was my favorite player and I wanted that Thunder team to get to the top so bad back then. even though I get he didn't wanna be with Westbrook no more I still think they couldve won one and they spent so many years building up to it for him to lose to the Warriors then leave and join them really hurt.

That Miami team without lebron isn’t a contender. Cavs aren’t a contender without lebron. Lakers aren’t a contender without lebron. Warriors were already a contender and the best regular season team before KD joined. That’s the difference.

A lot of guys have legit injuries... Kawhi's been dealing with a knee for 4 years. Simmons has had a back and a knee surgery within the last 3 seasons. The issue is fans are impressionable so they parrot what they hear without using common sense. There's a difference between load management and injury management. The days of guys playing at 75% is over in large part because of the way fans and media consume and cover the game. Guy goes out there and plays on one leg, media calls him washed. Fans talk about he's stealing money. What's the incentive for a guy to play through pain every night?

As great as Charles Barkley is he doesn’t know what’s it’s like to be a Kevin Durant. It’s two different classes. KD has GOAT level talent right there with Jordan and Bron. That’s the a different level of expectations. For example Shaq won 4 titles and still is perceived to have underachieved. That was based on his tremendous talent. KD had to win. Even with two he’s underachieved in most eyes. He need two more at least to make it make sense.

Charles spot as usual. especially on load management. I'll never pay to see another NBA game again after paying serious cash only to see Le Born & Kyrie perfectly fine, sit on the bench. Teams need to announce 24hrs in advance when resting a star & offers fans a refund.
Teams already do announce who will be out a day in advance.
It's entertainment for fans and media, but to teams the nba is serious. Load management is strategy to stay available for a long season. It sucks for fans though, bit useful for teams who want to compete deep into the season

Here I'll help you out...the players were not running as many offensive and defensive tiring schemes in the 1960s. No player in the 1960s was as athletic as a Vince Carter or ja morant. Nor were they pummeling players like the bad boy pistons. All I'm saying is....there was more time to rest and not run after a steph curry on the floor. Today's players use more stamina and risk their bodies MORE...

People need to stop saying to shorten the season to prevent load management, it wont fix the problem because they will find an excuse not to play. I say that if you dont play, you get paid less that game. They have to figure out a way to "force" players to play or else repercussions. These players are given way too much power and the fans suffer.
What if it’s not the players calling the shots with load management? The coaches are probably making them sit so they can keep their star players in as good condition as possible for playoff. It’s tactical more than anything else.
Teams should be forced to charge less for tickets when they sit out stars. It's not fair to the fans. The fans are the only reason these crybabies are getting millions of dollars to play a game. I have zero sympathy for NBA players.
