Electro-Harmonix Talking Pedal - Desktop Model - with NuEVI & MicroBrute

Love this pedal! It is true analog filtering and constructed of 4 analog band pass filters. Huge deal.
Here, the pedal is filtering a saw wave sound from the MicroBrute that was first filtered with breath driving a low pass filter. This does make quite a variety of great, more mellow tones.
But you can use the formants to cut through many more higher frequencies if done a different way, which I'll do in a future video. This will create a more dramatic formant effect.
Likely the best way to do this would be to run the full volume, unfiltered saw wave first into the Talking Pedal, and then afterward use breath do drive volume (VCA) instead of brightness (VCF). Sometimes then maybe a tiny bit of static VCF but not much if any.
Both these bring great tones, just depends on what you are after.
Both are good for moving formants (talking and jabbering) or set as a static resonant body filter setting for a more standard wind/woodwind etc. type sound (though of any of many unusual variations different from the typical we hear).
